Although Gary didn't see Celeste's face, he could feel her anger from her words.

He just knew that Celeste was truly angry.

Celeste shook her head and denied, "No, I'm not angry."

"Celeste, listen to me."

"Gary, I'm not mad at you," She didn't want to get into a fight. Instead, she wanted to maintain her politeness and explained, "I'm just mad at myself, and I hate being like this."

She felt that she was too irrational.

In fact, she was quite upset because of her rashness.

There were some things that she didn't want to hold back in her heart.

"You're fine. Why do you hate yourself?" Gary frowned and asked, "What's wrong? What came to your mind?"

"Nothing," Celeste was still downcast, "Gary, at the age of sixteen, you already know what to do. But I'm still in a dilemma. I can't do anything inappropriate either."

"If you are caught up in this because I kissed you, I'm sorry," Gary immediately apologized anxiously in a hurried tone, "That day, I was too nervous. I was afraid that I couldn't say anything, so I had to do it."

Celeste's face turned red at the mention of that.

She awkwardly denied, "I didn't mean that."

"I don't care whether you meant that or not. I don't regret kissing you. I just regret that I didn't kiss you longer," He said.

Celeste blushed even more, "I don't want to talk to you anymore."

"Celeste," Gary softened his tone. When he thought of her shy appearance, he smiled, "I miss you so much."

Silence.

No one said anything on the phone.

Celeste held the phone in a daze and didn't respond for a long time. She seemed to be stunned and didn't know how to react.

"Celeste,." Gary called out again. He was afraid that she would end the call out of embarrassment.

"Gary, did you just say that you miss me very much?" Celeste was still uncertain whether it was Gary's voice.

"Yes, I miss you, I really do." In the end, Gary still admitted it. Since time and space had separated them, he was no longer sure if he had chances of being with her.

He just wanted to make sure that nothing would go wrong.

Celeste smiled. The grievances and frustration in her heart, as well as the lingering confusion in her mind disappeared in an instant.

As long as he admitted it, she was happy.

She didn't know why was she so persistent.

Either way, she just felt very glad.

"Gary, Gary," Celeste called his name twice but fell silent again. It seemed that she didn't want to say anything else and only wanted to call his name.

"Yeah, I'm here," Gary's voice floated across the ocean, through the sound waves and directly into her heart.

"I'm fine now," Celeste had already asked what she wanted to, and the puzzle was solved. Now, there were no more doubts on her mind. She suggested, "You should rest. Isn't it late at night over there?" "When's our next phone call?" Gary took the opportunity to ask.

Celeste said, "We'll talk about it later after I arrive in England."

Gary was quite disappointed. He thought that she would call him before she left, but she said that they would call after she arrived in England. Thus, it would take at least a week until their next call. "Celeste, can you give me a call before you leave?" He asked placatingly.

Celeste thought for a moment and laughed, "Alright."

Hanging up the phone, Celeste slept very well that night.

The next day, she appeared at the campus in good spirits. She would leave in three days, so today was also her last day at school. Over the remaining two days, she had to pack her luggage and buy some necessary items.

Thus, she hadn't gone to school till the very last day.

As soon as she entered the school, Maria stopped her.

After thoroughly inspecting her from head to toe, Maria then asked curiously, "You look so energetic. Did you win the lottery?"

Celeste shook her head at once, "No, I've always been very happy."

"Forget it. The day after Gary left, you've been behaving in a strange manner. I don't know what you're thinking about, but now that you're in such a good mood, I think you must have gotten in touch with Gary." Celeste blushed instantly. She was embarrassed at being seen through so easily.

"Tell me, who called first?" Maria was more curious, "Gary? I knew he couldn't control himself. He's a man. When he is home, everything is under his control, so he can still restrain himself. Now that he's overseas, it's natural for him to be unable to hold back. Let's see if he's up to something."

She would definitely make fun of him later.

However, Celeste shook her head and said, "No, I called him."

"What?" Maria was stunned and pointed at Celeste, "You?"

"Yeah," Celeste nodded, "I called him yesterday, but I didn't say anything. Then he called me back again."

"Well, this is a surprise," Maria thought for a moment and sighed, "You two are really unpredictable."

"I'm also surprised," Celeste's face was red and she lowered her head. She didn't dare to look at Maria, afraid that she would make fun of her.

"Celeste, do you understand now?" Maria asked again.

"What?" Celeste was puzzled, "Understand what?"

"Do you know what's going on between you and Gary?" Maria felt that Celeste still did not know what she meant at all.

Looking at her adorably puzzled face, it was expected that Celeste had no clue at all.

Maria was speechless. Then, she sighed, "You're in love with Gary. Do you know that?"

"In love?" Celeste widened her eyes. Although she knew that everything was different since he kissed her, she was still a little shocked when Maria said that she was in love.

After all, it was inappropriate.

"Don't make such an expression," Maria laughed, "I told you last time that Gary likes you and you like him as well. Look, just one phone call, and your smile is brighter than the sun. I know that you're already in love."

"I...!"

"Don't doubt yourself," Maria patted her on the shoulder and grinned, "Believe in yourself. You like him."

Celeste didn't say anything.

"Maria," Suddenly, Ernest's voice was heard.

Maria froze as if she had met a ghost. She raised her head and looked at him.

Ernest walked over and looked at them. He smiled at them, "What are you two talking about? Your conversation seems so lively, and you're even gesticulating so wildly."

"Nothing," Celeste quickly said, "I'll go back to the classroom first. Bye, Maria."

After that, she left.

Ernest frowned. As he looked at Celeste's retreating back, a glimmer of light flashed across his eyes.

Meanwhile, Maria stared fixedly at Ernest.

A while later, Ernest turned around and found that Maria seemed to be shooting a complicated look at him. He raised an eyebrow at her.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Ernest, there are some things that I didn't want to say at first." "Then don't," Ernest interrupted Maria's sentence.
