But the next second, she felt rather embarrassed, "Ernest, why are you here?"

Ernest looked at her and acted as though he wasn't searching for her intentionally. He just said, "Just a coincidence." Celeste stood up. She had been squatting there for a long time, thinking about what she should do next.

She had no idea how long had passed since she was there.

She stood up and found that her legs had gone numb. Consequently, she stumbled the minute she tried to walk over.

"Be careful," Ernest immediately reached out and supported her. He looked at her worriedly and asked, "What's the matter? Can't feel your feet?"

The moment Celeste regained her balance, Ernest let go.

He stood in front of her and just stared at her. A few seconds later, he asked, "How long have you been here?" "Not for long," Celeste shook her head and said, "Ernest, you can leave if you have something to attend to. I'm also going to leave."

"It's too late. I'll send you home," As Ernest was saying, he took out his phone and silently sent a text to Liam, "I've found her, she's at the school. Don't worry, I'll try to think of a way to bring her back to her apartment."

Celeste happened to see the screen of his phone and found that he was texting Liam.

"Are you texting Liam?" Celeste asked with a hint of caution in her eyes.

Ernest looked at Celeste and admitted, "It's not a coincidence that I happen to be here. Liam called me and asked me to help look for you. I'm just lucky to replace you at school."

After hearing that, Celeste instantly fell silent.

Ernest glanced at Celeste and saw that her eyes were watery. He explained, "He didn't tell me anything, he just said that it was family matters."

Celeste was a little relieved when she heard this. She said to Ernest, "Ernest, I'm fine. Don't worry, I won't be in trouble."

"It doesn't matter if you encounter some obstacles. You can always come and look for either me or Maria. We are willing to help you. I'm just afraid that you don't treat us as friends."

In fact, after saying those words in his room in the morning, Ernest still felt awkward when Celeste decided to leave right in the afternoon.

But now, he was more worried about seeing her in this state.

Celeste nodded, "Thank you, Ernest."

However, she knew that there were some things that others just couldn't help her with.

She could not always depend on others.

She needed to rely on herself to solve the obstacles she was facing.

For now, her priority was resolving the issue with her guardian.

"You don't have to be polite with me. Come, I'll send you back to your apartment."

The moment he finished speaking, the phone rang.

He took a look at the phone and didn't hide it from Celeste, "Liam is calling."

Celeste nodded.

Now she had calmed down and was clear that Liam no longer had the obligation to look after her or to care about her. Now that she realized that Liam had gone around looking for her after she had left on her own, she felt extremely guilty and embarrassed.

She told Ernest, "Answer the phone."

It was only then that Ernest picked up the phone.

On the other end of the phone, Liam's voice could be heard, "How are things over there, Ernest?"

"Everything's fine. We are heading back to the apartment now."

"Great. I'll be waiting for you guys at the apartment. You should come along too and help me persuade Celeste."

Although Ernest had no idea what was going on, upon hearing Liam's words, he knew that something serious might have happened.

"Alright, I'll see you in a bit."

Thus, they went back to the apartment and met up with Liam.

The three of them opened the door and walked in together.

It was only then that Liam let out a sigh of relief, "Celeste, it's good that you're back."

"Mr. Robinson, thank you," Celeste thanked Liam sincerely.

Liam shook his head and said, "It's fine. Celeste, you have to think before you act so impulsively."

"I've already made up my mind," Celeste assured him, "I'll contact my aunt tomorrow and apologize to her."

Liam glanced at her and felt slightly suspicious at her sudden change of attitude. However, he soon smiled because he felt that it was natural for a child to have mood swings. Since Celeste had finally realized her mistake, he was relieved.

"It's good that you understand. If that's the case, I'll head back first. Take care of yourself."

"Alright."

Ernest was also very delighted when he heard Celeste's words. He said to Liam, "I'll follow you back too."

Hence, they left Celeste's apartment together.

Before leaving, Ernest glanced back at Celeste. Seeing that she had lowered her gaze in a seemingly deep trance, Ernest narrowed his eyes. However, he said nothing.

When they went downstairs, he asked Liam, "What's going on? Did Celeste have a quarrel with her aunt?"

"Yes," Liam nodded and sighed, "They had a really huge fight and neither of them wanted to back down. They even wanted to cut off all ties."

Ernest was stupefied and looked up at Celeste's apartment with suspicion.

"But now, everything is back to normal. Everyone has finally calmed down. I'll try talking to Miss White, so you can go home first," Liam was still anxious and wanted to persuade Cindy. He was unsure how Cindy would react.

With that, Ernest bid farewell to Liam.

After Liam left, Ernest went back to the car. Just when he was about to leave, a possibility flashed through his mind.

The driver asked, "Young Master Ernest, shall we head back?"

"No," Ernest shook his head and said, "Let's wait."

They waited for a while in the car. All the while, Ernest stared at Celeste's room until the lights went out.

Then, he fixed his gaze at the exit of the apartment.

Sure enough, not long after, Celeste was seen at the exit with a backpack.

Ernest frowned.

It seemed that she was going to run away from home.

Ernest was very surprised. He opened the door and walked over.

Celeste was shocked when she saw him.

"Er- Ernest," She looked at him in disbelief, "Why haven't you left yet?"

Ernest was also very shaken, "Fortunately, I didn't leave. If I left, I might have missed this."

Celeste didn't expect that Ernest would still be here.

She stared at Ernest and hesitated. A while later, she asked gingerly, "Ernest, can you just pretend that you didn't see me?"

"Celeste White," Ernest was solemn, "You are only sixteen years old, not eighteen. You can wander around, but where can you go at such an age?"

Celeste did not speak and kept her head down.

"You are not someone who acts impulsively, but what have you done? Initially, you could have followed my brother to the United States, but you insisted on coming to England. Now, you had a huge fight with your aunt. I don't understand your motives behind all these actions and I won't question you about it. However, if you insist on leaving, then I'm sorry to tell you that I can't allow that."

Ernest was very serious when he said this.

Celeste didn't say anything. She lowered her eyes and her long eyelashes trembled slightly under the light of the street lamp. She looked helpless.

When Ernest saw this, he knew that she probably didn't have a place to go to.

"Let's go back. If you really don't have a place to go to, you can just follow me home."

"I'm leaving," Celeste shook her head immediately and insisted, "There's no way I will go to your place."

"Why?"

"I don't want to trouble you."

She didn't want Cindy to be involved with Heinz. She didn't wish to disrupt Heinz and Grace's marriage.

However, she didn't dare to say these words out loud to him.

Seeing her like this, Ernest frowned, "Must you leave this place?" Celeste nodded, "I have to leave this place."

"Well, since you have to leave, I'll arrange a place for you to stay."

"Where are we going?"

"It's safe there, and I don't think your studies will be disrupted."

Celeste hesitated for a moment but didn't say anything.

Seeing as she was silent, Ernest took out his phone and called Alex.

"Uncle Logan, do me a favor."

Alex was very puzzled and asked, "What happened? Aren't your parents there?" "My parents mustn't know about this," Ernest explained, "Keep it between the two of us."

"Okay. Go ahead, Young Master Ernest," Alex was serious now.

"I'm going to meet up with you now," Ernest requested, "I'll reach your hotel in ten minutes. We can talk about it when I get there."

"Understood."

Ernest dragged Celeste into the car and loaded her luggage in as well.

Soon, they arrived at the hotel.

They met up with Alex.

At present, the Jones family had a ton of business deals abroad. Alex had been staying in Europe and he would often deal with the affairs here. Thus, he was more familiar with the place.

This time, he had also come to London with them.

The moment he saw Ernest leading Celeste in, Alex was puzzled and asked, "What is going on?"

"Uncle Logan, Celeste needs a place to stay. Can you arrange it for us?"

"Sure. Why is this happening?"

"Don't ask. If I could tell you, I would have," Ernest stopped Alex from continue asking.

Alex nodded in response, "Okay, I'll make the arrangements now. She can stay in a room here for now."

"No," Ernest glanced at Celeste. He knew what she meant and thus said to Alex, "It's not a temporary problem. Find somewhere for her to stay for the long term."
