Johnny said, "You haven't successfully terminated the contract. Is it appropriate that you don't come to work?" "Talk to my lawyer if you have any questions. He'll answer them," Liam replied indifferently.

Johnny took in a long, deep breath. "Liam, I only said that because I want to meet you. Don't misunderstand."

"What's the matter?"

"Well talk when we meet," was all Johnny replied.

Then, Liam answered, "Some other day perhaps. I have something to do today."

"What's so important? It'll only take half an hour."

"No. I won't be free over the next couple of days." Liam was firm.

That was because he wanted to spend the next two days with Maria.

He wanted to cherish the time he had with Maria instead of wasting it on someone useless.

"Won't you see me at all?" Johnny sighed in frustration. "Liam, we run in the same circles, so we'll run into each other eventually."

"You're right," Liam replied nonchalantly. "That's what I thought so too. It's a small world, so we should treat each other with kindness. However, it seems like not everyone thinks the same way as me." "Liam, it was Miss White's idea to have me call you back from England. If she didn't ask me to, I wouldn't have done it," Johnny protested.

Liam smirked slightly at Johnny's words. He was blaming Cindy for what happened.

Since Cindy had fallen from grace, others took the opportunity to kick her while she was down.

Human nature could be so despicable at times.

Liam laughed. "It's all in the past. In fact, I should thank you. I would have never thought of dissolving the contract if you never asked me to come back. So, thanks to you and Miss White, I finally have the determination to break my contract. If not, I would have lost my freedom."

Liam's words hit Johnny like a brick wall. Feeling embarrassed, Johnny could only laugh uneasily.

"Do you blame me for that?" he asked.

Liam chuckled. "Why would I do that? It wasn't your fault. I understand your situation, Johnny."

Despite that, Liam knew that Johnny could not be

trusted.

"Liam, we're still good friends, aren't we? I always hoped I could help you restore you to your glory days, but the situation we're in makes it impossible. Please understand."

"Johnny, you're too polite." Liam's voice was very calm. "I'm going to hang up now. We'll talk more when we meet next time. Bye."

Johnny had no choice but to end the call.

Liam returned to the bedroom. Although Maria was exhausted, she was not asleep. When she saw him coming back, she managed to ask, "I think your manager is afraid you'll take revenge on him after you break your contract. That must be why he's apologizing."

Liam nodded. "I think so too."

Maria sighed. "People are so complicated. Why can't we be more sincere with each other?"

"It's good if one can establish healthy limits and boundaries," Liam replied. "You're still young, and show business is very complicated. To be honest, I'm a little reluctant to let you become a manager. There are lots of fake people in this circle, and you won't know who's being genuine or not."

"Then, it's even more imperative that I get involved. I won't let you face the dangers alone," Maria insisted.

Liam was moved by Maria's words, and he turned to look at her lovingly.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Maria felt embarrassed.

Her words had warmed the cockles of his heart. He always knew that Maria was a warm-hearted person, as warm as the sun.

Didn't Maria come to his rescue during the darkest days of his life? Liam thought to himself.

Had it not been for Maria, Liam would have been ended up depressed and lost.

He continued to look at her with a doting gaze.

Maria blushed under his intense gaze. "Hey, why are you still looking at me? Why aren't you saying anything? I'll be shy if you keep staring at me." "Oh, Maria," Liam murmured, lowering his head and kissing her. He wanted to show Maria just how much he loved her.

She very quickly ran out of breath and gasped as she looked at him.

Liam let go of her and whispered, "Maria, thank you for being the light of my life."

"Why are you being so polite? We're together because I love you," Maria muttered shyly.

Liam paused. He was worried that Maria would think that he did not love her as much as she did, so he quickly said, "No, Maria. I love you, I really do."

Her eyes widened, and they seemed to be shining. She smiled at him. "Really? You love me a lot?"

"Of course. I don't want to leave you, not even for a second," Liam whispered, looking at Maria with desire in his eyes.

She looked back at him with shock. She could not take another round as she was exhausted.

However, Liam seemed very enthusiastic, and he lowered his head to kiss her. "Maria, I'm the happiest whenever I'm with you," he murmured in between kisses. "Me too," she answered, her breathing quickly becoming erratic.

Their breaths mingled, and their gazes locked.

"So, that's why we should do it again," Liam teased with an impish smile on his face.

Maria immediately protested, "No more, please.

I'm a little sleepy. Let me take a break."

"No worries, you can go to sleep. I'll do my thing, and I promise I won't disturb you," Liam whispered in an affectionate tone.

Then, he turned Maria onto her side.

They snuggled up to each other for the entire night.

Maria was ensconced in Liam's warm embrace, and his breath was hot on her ear. It brought her much comfort and warmth.

Maria moved away subconsciously, thinking that Liam was going to start his ministrations soon.

Maria whispered, "Liam."

"Shh!" Liam whispered back in her ear, "Go to sleep. I want to sleep too, so let's sleep like this." Maria was surprised. She had never imagined that she and Liam would ever be like this.

She was in a relationship with the man and idol she loved.

Furthermore, Liam was true to his word. He did not try to do anything, nor did he make any sound at all.

However, Maria simply could not fall asleep.

Sleep almost claimed her before the thought their current situation jolted her awake.

Liam immediately asked, "What's wrong?"

"Liam, aren't you tired?"

"Not at all. I feel incredibly energetic right now. How about I give you a task?" Liam smiled.

"What task?" Maria asked in a daze.

"Get fitter when you return to London. Don't be so weak, okay? You always tap out early whenever we do it, and I feel kinda bummed," Liam spoke very slowly into Maria's ear. Maria blushed. "You're asking me to exercise more?"

"Yes, exercise." Liam nodded. "Do your best for me and yourself, okay?"

Maria was a little embarrassed, but she still nodded.

Liam did not continue, but he did not leave either. "All right, let's go to bed. Don't think too much, okay? You have to get used to this sleeping position because I like it like this." That was because if they slept like that, then it meant that they would be as close to each other as they could all the time.

Maria did not refute him, and she could not bear to either.

Maria nodded and fell asleep quickly after replaceing a comfortable position.

However, when she woke up later in the night, she found that Liam was still holding her.

She turned her head and looked into his eyes.

Liam smiled. "You're awake?"

Maria nodded. "Were you awake this whole time?"

"I slept for a while," he answered in a low voice.

Maria was surprised. "You stayed like this the entire time?" Liam nodded with a smile, "Yeah, I can't bear to move away."
