True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1663
Cindy chuckled, "That's what you deserve. You should not have listened to a woman. If you gave me the 80 million, I might have let you go for the sake of our past relationship, but you were too stingy. You only gave me 20 million to leave the country. You on the other hand live a comfortable life. What about my life in the future?"
Sinclair narrowed his eyes and a dangerous glint flashed in his gaze. Monica had angered Cindy by only giving her 20 million.
If he'd given Cindy the amount she asked for, he might still be the CEO of the Theclair Group. It would be easy for him to make back the 80 million.
Unfortunately, one wrong move costed him everything.
When Monica heard their conversation, she was also angered. "Cindy, you're doing this to me and Sinclair over 80 million?"
"You're the ones who wanted to abandon me. You're the ones who're heartless, and I'm just returning the favor." Cindy shrugged her shoulders, not afraid of them at all. "I can only say that you deserve to face the consequences of your actions. How could I ever let you two live happily if I can't?"
"You're one cold-hearted b*tch," Monica scolded her.
"You're the one who's cold-hearted." Michael sneered at Monica. "You've had an affair for two decades, and yet here you are being all righteous. You must be the most shameless woman on Earth."
Sinclair replied, "That's enough, Michael. It's been so many years. It's what it's now, so we have to face the reality. We are all in the same boat now, so it's pointless to fight, isn't it?"
"You're right." Michael chuckled. "It's indeed pointless. Since that's the case, why are you guys here?"
"You took my money, Michael. Even if I did screw up first, you don't have to do this to me, do you?" Monica questioned him.
Michael smiled with a smug on his face. "To be honest, I've only ever accomplished two things over the course of our marriage. One is that you never discovered the affair I had with Cindy, and the second one is me transferring all your money overseas without you knowing. Ha, how the mighty have fallen."
Monica's expression darkened, and she looked very displeased. However, she managed to adjust her emotions quickly. "Well, kudos to you, Michael. I admit that you did executed those two things very well. Now, I'm backed into a corner with no money and no job. This is all your doing."
"Monica, that's hardly fair for you to say that, don't you think?" Cindy scoffed. "You started an affair with Sinclair first, and you tricked me before abandoning me. Michael and I are just trying to save ourselves, and it's just that we won."
"You won?" Monica sneered. "Just forget it. If you did, you wouldn't end up in this sorry state."
"You're right." Cindy admitted plainly while she nodded. "I made a fool of myself, and I ended up in an ugly situation. However, you're the one that caused all of this. Anyway, we still have money, and you don't. Am I right?"
Sinclair interrupted them. "Enough, stop arguing. Sort yourselves out and let's talk this over at my place."
"Your place?" Cindy was shocked and she sat up immediately. "Did you buy a house?"
"Why not?" Sinclair retorted.
"Where is it?"
"Here, of course," Sinclair said.
"You said it's not safe here, so what's this about?"
Cindy asked in return.
"Do you know why we are here?" Sinclair asked.
On the other side, Gary said in a low voice, "Oh no, they found something."
The five of them were all watching the video feed attentively.
Cindy asked in astonishment, "How did you know to come here? You couldn't have guessed it on your own. Did someone tell you?"
"Well, someone's been spying on you two," Sinclair replied.
After saying that, Cindy suddenly got up from the bed and began searching the entire room.
"Are the cameras going to be discovered?" Maria held Liam's hand nervously.
They watched as Cindy rifled through the entire room to search for hidden cameras.
Sinclair said, "Don't bother looking for them. The footage wasn't taken from inside the house. Instead, it was taken from outside the window." Then, Cindy and Michael both looked out the window.
Monica said, "Sinclair and I studied the video. It was taken from outside of the window, most likely using a drone."
Michael and Cindy exchanged glances and still searched the room for a long while, but their efforts ended up in vain.
"Are you sure it wasn't taken from inside the room?" Cindy asked once more.
"All right, let's not talk about this for now. Let's go to Sinclair's place. If there's anything to discuss, we should do it there." Monica urged.
Michael finally put on his clothes that time. He glanced at Cindy and hinted her with a wink. "Cindy, bring the things we bought. We should let Sinclair and Monica try them out."
Cindy was stunned for a moment before she smiled. "Michael, are you planning to have fun with them?"
Michael nodded. "Sinclair's no stranger, and we've shared the same woman before. Now's not the time to argue. The four of us are destined to be together no matter in good or bad times, so we should definitely grasp the opportunity and have some fun while they're here."
"Well, okay." Cindy changed her clothes and brought a box with her.
Sinclair and Monica gave each other a look as well, and it seemed like they both reached an understanding. They even seemed glad at the turn of events.
On the other end, Maria breathed a sigh of relief.
The five of them were all slightly relieved.
Their cameras weren't discovered.
Gary was breaking out in cold sweat as he was also worried that the cameras would be discovered.
Celeste turned to look at his tensed but still dashing face and asked, "You're actually feeling nervous and afraid that they'd replace out, aren't you?" "A little." Gary admitted it right open-heartedly. Ernest looked at the time and found that it was two a.m. in the morning. Were the four of them not going to sleep at all?
"Seems to me like they all want to live together, and it doesn't look like they are jealous of each other or hate each other at all. I really don't understand their thought processes. Don't they have a sense of propriety?" Maria complained.
"It's not like they have a shred of modesty left in them. Who knows? They might actually all end up together after a while. They're in the same boat after all, and it's easier to work together than fight." Ernest replied.
"I can't accept it." Maria pouted and felt a chill at the thought of it. "What's the point of living like this?"
Gary glanced at Celeste and said, "Sometimes, for some people, living feels like dying. On the other hand, some people had died already, but they were worthier than when they were alive." Celeste was very quiet.
For her, it was suffering.
The five of them waited quietly.
After some time, the party of four entered Sinclair's home.
As soon as she entered the door, Cindy exclaimed, "Gosh, Mr. Stone, you bought a house right next to mine! You must be having great times with Monica here, right?"
"I learned from you. You bought a house right next to Heinz and made them leave, so I bought one above you. It's easier to move around. However, I don't come here much. Frankly, it's a good thing I bought this house, if not, I wouldn't have a single asset overseas." Sinclair replied.
"You can still lead a happy life after selling this house." Cindy suggested with a smile.
"If I sold it, I will live at your house." Sinclair winked at her. "Your house is quite big. In the future, Monica, Michael and I will live together with you. We can spend our senior years together, doesn't it sound great?"
Sinclair closed all the curtains the moment he entered the house.
Monica was in charge there, and she looked at
Michael and Cindy. She said, "To be honest, Sinclair and I were very angry with both of you, but as you said, we screwed up too. How about we bury the hatchet and just live together?"
"Monica, Michael is your husband, and Sinclair is Suanne's husband. I am on my own and I'm carefree. Among the four of us, none of you can compare to me in terms of freedom. Now, I have money and I have time, and I don't think that I necessarily have to spend any of it with you all."
"Oh, so you are fussing over this now?" Monica asked.
"Michael is mine. I want to spend my life with him." Cindy smiled.
Monica was stunned for a moment before she understood what Cindy was thinking. Then, she smirked. "You chose Michael only for his money."
