When Heinz and Gary heard the news, they were both stunned. They didn't think that the blood bank in London would be facing a shortage. "Were they able to seek alternative sources for blood?" Heinz asked.

"Yes, but it's not that easy. Cindy's blood type is AB, but I'm type B. Most of us have either A or B blood type, so we can't spare her any blood. We have to acquire it from the blood bank," Alex explained. Gary frowned at that.

At that moment, the emergency room's door opened and a doctor walked out. The doctor spotted them and said, "We still need around 2 bags of blood, but I've contacted all the blood banks around the area, and none of them have type AB. You guys should replace someone with AB blood type as soon as possible. We've managed to stop the bleeding, but the patient requires an urgent blood transfusion to be stabilized."

"How much time do we have?" Heinz asked the doctor.

"Not more than an hour. We've already used up around ten bags of blood on the patient, but she is bleeding excessively," The doctor replied solemnly.

Gary frowned and looked at the doctor, asking, "So what you're saying is that the patient will definitely get better once she gets the blood transfusion?"

"I can't guarantee that. Yesterday's operation was a success, but we never thought that she would start bleeding all of a sudden the next day. We'll have to keep a close eye on her 24 hours after this. Once she passes the 48-hour mark with no problems, then her condition should be stabilized," The doctor explained.

Heinz nodded.

Gary exchanged a look with Heinz then turned to leave.

"Hey, where are you going?" Heinz asked him.

Gary did not turn back to answer him and just said, "I'm going to donate some of my blood to this b*tch. She's lucky that I happen to have AB blood type."

When Alex heard that Gary was going to give his blood to that shameless woman, he hurriedly exchanged a look of shock with Heinz.

"President Jones, I'm going to stop Master Gary."

Heinz was stunned. However, realization soon sank in. He shook his head and sighed, "There's no need for that, Alex."

"President Jones, two whole bags of blood is honestly too much!"

Heinz shook his head and could only frown, "Gary knows what he's doing. He'll be fine."

"But why would Master Gary compromise his health like that for such a shameless woman?" Alex couldn't figure it out. He wanted to run after Gary to ask.

"That's because he wants to thank Cindy for raising Celeste. After helping her out this time, he won't owe anything else to her in the future. Gary's just doing what he has to for his beloved. We can't possibly interfere with his decision," Heinz explained calmly.

Alex looked at Heinz, his eyes widened in disbelief.

Heinz let out a bitter smile, "He's my son, after all. Of course I would prefer it if he didn't have to do so, but I have to respect his decision."

Alex nodded, "I understand, but I think I should still accompany him."

"Go ahead then," Heinz nodded.

With that, Alex hurried over to Gary.

Meanwhile, a nurse had already inserted a needle into Gary's arm.

Once Alex walked into the room, Gary just looked up at him calmly.

Alex looked as if he wanted to say something but didn't. He looked worried and anxious.

"Uncle Logan, what's with that expression?" Gary flashed Alex a grin as he looked at Alex's conflicted expression.

"Your dad explained that you're doing this to repay a debt to Cindy for raising Celeste. Is that true? If it isn't, I have no idea what other reason you have to to do something like this for a b*tch like Cindy." Alex felt indignant.

Gary was startled when he heard this. Surprise flashed across his eyes as he was taken aback, "I didn't think Heinz was this wise."

"It seems that the president was right. You're doing all this for Celeste, aren't you? Gosh, she's so much trouble," Alex sighed.

Gary was stunned when he heard Alex talk about Celeste like that. He glared at the man as a sign of warning.

"Uncle Logan."

Alex looked at him and groaned, "Don't look at me like that! I'm only speaking the truth. You've lost your mind after falling for her. Cindy's life just isn't

worth it."

Gary did not try to further explain his actions.

As long as he thought it was worth it, no one could tell him otherwise.

He had come to the hospital for Celeste, not Cindy.

If it was solely for Cindy's sake, he wouldn't have considered donating his blood at all.

Soon, more blood was drawn from Gary, and the blood bag started to fill up.

Alex grew more and more anxious as he watched on. He couldn't help himself from nagging, "Madam Grace is pregnant now. If she found out that you're donating this much blood to Cindy at her age, she's going to be worried sick! It'll be bad for the babies."

"Well, just don't let my mother know about this. Don't mention this to Celeste either," Gary grunted.

Alex thought that it was reasonable for him to withhold this information from Grace, but he didn't think it was right to not let Celeste know about this.

However, he did not voice out his opinion.

After the nurse was done drawing two full bags of blood from Gary, she withdrew the needle.

After that, Gary moved to get up but was hit with a slight dizzy spell.

Alex hurriedly reached out and gave him a hand, asking, "Are you alright?"

Gary pursed his lips and replied, "Yeah, I'm just feeling a little dizzy."

"Well, you did donate a lot of blood, so it's normal to feel like that. Once you get back home, you'll have to eat more iron to replenish all that blood. You should recover completely in the next few days. I'll ask the butler to prepare some nutritious food for you," Alex mumbled.

"Uncle Logan, when did you start getting so good at nagging?"

"It's not like I want to. I've been watching over you since you were little. I'm just worried about you," Alex was fond of both Gary and Ernest and treated them like his own children.

He had watched them grow up, so he felt obliged to take good care of them. He didn't want to see Gary suffer.

After Alex said that, Gary understood that the man was just concerned about him.

However, he was not a weak child anymore.

He had given his blood to Cindy for Celeste.

When Gary walked back to meet up with Heinz again, he could tell that Heinz was also worried

about him.

Heinz looked at Gary's pale face and frowned, "You'll have to take better care of yourself these few days. What a waste of blood. You feel terrible, am I right?"

"What kind of father says that to their son after they've given so much blood?" Gary raised an eyebrow and shot back.

"You've never once referred to me as your father. Anyways, you look a bit pale. You'll have to take supplements to replenish your blood after this," Heinz advised.

"I'm not that weak, you know? I'll be alright in no time," Gary protested.

Heinz did not refute. Instead, he seemed to agree with Gary and mused, "Of course you'll be fine. You've inherited my genes after all. I have a great immune system, so like father like son, you'll recover in no time."

"Are you praising me or yourself?"

"Both."

The two bickered with each other for a long while. Alex, who had been by Heinz's side for years now, did not make a sound.

He patiently waited for the two to finish bickering.

Very quickly, Gary's blood was sent into the emergency room and used for Cindy's blood transfusion.

When Cindy was pushed out of the emergency room, Gary caught a glimpse of her pale face. It seemed like she barely managed to escape death.

The woman's eyes were closed and she looked haggard. There did not seem to be any life left in her.

She looked as if she had aged a few decades.

Gary furrowed his brows and looked at the woman with disdain. It served her right for sinning so much.

Suddenly, as if she had sensed his gaze, Cindy's eyelids fluttered open. Gary's figure immediately came into her sight.

Cindy was stunned at first. However, she soon moved her gaze sideways and realized that Heinz was next to Gary. The two men looked handsome. Gary was slightly taller than his father and had grown to become a dashing young man. Cindy fixed her eyes on Heinz's face. She looked at him with nothing but adoration in her eyes and refused to look away. Heinz frowned. He shot a brief glance at Cindy and took a step back to avoid her gaze.

Cindy immediately became anxious and moved her head just so she could gaze upon Heinz once more.

However, Gary stepped forward, blocking Cindy's line of sight.

Cindy looked up and met Gary's eyes. She frowned and said weakly, "Get out of my way. You're blocking my view."

Gary scoffed softly, "You're hilarious. Don't you care that you nearly died just now? How do you still have the energy to leer at another man?"

Cindy's voice sounded very frail. She looked at Gary and protested, "Your father isn't just another man. I can't give him up just like that. I don't want to give him up to your mother. I can't stand it."

"It doesn't matter if you can't stand it. You are nothing compared to my mother. You're too shameless of a woman that even the devil himself doesn't want to keep you around. After all, you'll probably end up being a bad influence on the demons in hell," Gary mocked Cindy openly.
