When Alex heard that, he instantly realized what was in the hard drive. He thought that it was probably the adult film she had made with a couple of men previously. In order to shoot the film, Cindy had lost her uterus and almost died.

He could not believe that she wanted him to pass this on to disgust Heinz.

Alex chuckled and said, "Cindy, I'm not your runner. You can't get me to run errands for you any time you like. I won't give this to the president."

He placed the hard drive next to her bed as he spoke.

Panic flashed across Cindy's eyes. She really wanted to show the film to Heinz, but it seemed like no one would help her pass it to him.

The only chance she had left to catch Heinz's eye was slipping through her fingers.

Cindy knew that after she recovered, she would be discharged and sent back to Northern City.

There was also the possibility that she would end up losing her freedom. If she wanted to meet

Heinz, it would probably only be possible after many years.

Even then, who knew if she would still get the chance to meet him?

Cindy composed herself and looked at Alex, provoking him by saying, "Why won't you give it to him? Are you worried that he'll get angry with you? If you don't show it to him, he may blame you for passing on this opportunity."

"Don't goad me. It won't work." He was resolute. Then, he said mockingly, "I know all your little tricks. You want to disgust the president, or perhaps you're aiming to upset his wife. I won't play into your hands." Cindy narrowed her eyes at Alex. He had seen through her. She chuckled and did not try to hide her true intentions any longer.

"Alex, you're very loyal to Heinz, aren't you? Tell me, what do you get out of it?"

"It's not something someone like you could understand." Alex smiled faintly and turned to leave.

Panicking, she hurriedly yelled, "Wait!"

Alex turned around and looked at her from a distance without saying anything.

Cindy pursed her lips and asked, "What do you need me to do to help me with this? As long as you help me pass this to Heinz, I'll do anything you ask."

"I want you to return to Northern City and spend the rest of your life in prison," he answered with a laugh, sounding very spiteful.

Cindy frowned. "Alex, I haven't done anything to offend you, right? I've never done anything to hurt you, so why do you hate me?"

"I'm loyal to the Jones family. I've worked for them for years, so it goes without saying that I've come to care deeply about them. I want to lessen President Jones' burdens. I know you haven't done anything to offend me, but you're really a menace. I replace your behavior repulsive and disgusting, so I can't help but despise you."

Cindy wanted Alex to bring the hard drive to Heinz as soon as possible, so she asked again, "You really won't help me?" However, Alex adamantly refused.

"I won't. I won't change my mind." After saying that, Alex walked up to her and picked up the hard drive on the bed.

Cindy was stunned. She looked at Alex in surprise, thinking that he had suddenly changed his mind.

But she was left disappointed.

Alex picked up the hard drive and threw it onto the ground.

The hard drive shattered to pieces.

Cindy gasped in shock. "You've gone too far! That was mine! What right do you have to break it?"

She looked down at the broken hard drive, her heart also shattered. That was the only thing she had in her possession that could possibly change Heinz's opinion about her. But Alex destroyed just like that.

Unable to contain herself, she yelled hysterically at him, "Alex, are you crazy?"

Alex chuckled. "Not as crazy as you. You have too many crazy thoughts in your head. I had to destroy it to knock some sense into you. Stop dreaming about the impossible."

Alex made sure to step on the broken mess as he turned to leave.

When Cindy saw that Alex was still walking away, she anxiously yelled out, "Do you think that I won't be able to get Heinz to see the film just because you've destroyed this? There are still lots of ways. I have copies of it! No matter what, I'm going to show Heinz the film! I swear on my life!"

Alex could not help but frown at her words.

Frowning, he turned to one of the bodyguards outside the ward who was keeping watch over Cindy and asked, "Who has been visiting her at the hospital recently?"

"Only the hospital staff. Is there something wrong,

Mr. Logan?" the bodyguard asked.

"Are you sure that no one else came to visit her?"

"Yes, very sure," the bodyguard replied. "We haven't left our station at all. We've been watching her door the whole time."

"Well, one of the staff members managed to pass something to her. You've all been too careless. Keep a closer eye on her from now on."

"Yes, sir!"

Alex left the hospital after making the arrangements. He sat in his car and pondered the matter for a while, then finally decided to tell Heinz about it. Alex took out his phone and called Heinz.

Soon, Heinz answered his phone.

"What's up, Alex?" Heinz asked.

"President, I'm at the hospital. Cindy asked me to pass a hard drive to you just now, but I rejected her request and broke the hard drive."

"Well done." Heinz was not angry at all. In fact, he sounded glad. "I don't even have to look at it to know what was in it."

Alex was relieved to hear that.

"I'm worried that Cindy might think of other ways to get the film to you, though." Alex felt sure that Cindy would take every opportunity to stir up trouble for Heinz and Grace.

"It's okay. Let her try. She'll be out of the country in a few days anyway," Heinz replied. He was not too worried about Cindy. However, the mere thought of being anywhere near her repulsed him. After he hung up the phone, Heinz turned to look at Grace and smiled at her.

Meanwhile, Gary was on a call too. Heinz did not know who had called Gary, but Gary was frowning at whatever the person was saying.

After Gary hung up, he glanced at Heinz, then went to his room.

Heinz shrugged and ignored him.

Back in his room, Gary turned on his computer. It did not take long for him to download a video.

When Celeste could not replace Gary downstairs, she went up to their room to replace him. As soon as she entered the room, she heard a familiar voice calling out Heinz's name.

"Oh, Heinz!" the voice moaned.

Celeste quickly realized that it was Cindy's voice.

It did not take long for her to realize what Gary was watching.

She hurriedly closed the door behind her.

When Gary turned around and saw Celeste, he immediately tried to close the video.

However, Celeste walked over and placed her hand over his, stopping him.

"There's no need to do that. I want to know how shameless she can be." Celeste took a deep breath, then looked at the screen. On the screen, Cindy was surrounded by six men. They were all fondling Cindy at the same time.

Meanwhile, Cindy kept moaning Heinz's name as she was touched. Clearly, she was imagining those men to be Heinz.

She was a truly shameless woman.

Celeste was so shocked by the video that she started to turn red with anger.

"Don't get angry. We've always known that this is how she is," Gary said quickly, trying to soothe her.

"I really wish that she were dead. Why can't she just die? Why did you save her? You should've just left her to die," Celeste pursed her lips and said angrily.

"Death would be too easy for her, wouldn't it? It would be more torturous for her to stay alive." Gary looked at the video and continued, "We can't let Heinz see this video. If he replaces out that Cindy actually called out his name while doing something like this, he'll fly into a rage."

Celeste understood.

She licked her lips and replied, "Don't worry. I won't mention this to anyone."

Gary nodded.

The next day, Celeste downloaded the video from Gary's computer onto her tablet and placed the tablet in her bag.

After she arrived at the office, she went looking for Alex.

"Uncle Logan, I want to visit Cindy before I go to Boston. Can you come with me?"
