Gary felt that he had made a huge mistake. He felt that his own words had brought the trouble upon himself.

That was the first time where he doubted his intelligence.

He had never called Heinz dad once and he had insisted upon it for so many years. Over the years, the pair of father and son had been competing with each other over the matter both in dark and upfront. That time around, he had failed.

Gary frowned, his felt goosebumps all over himself. He was evidently caught off guard.

Heinz was indeed a smart man, he would never forget to fight for his own benefits when he saw the opportunity. At the thought of that, Gary frowned once more.

At that moment, if he did not call him dad, Heinz would definitely be embarrassed in front of Simon.

Gary certainly did not want Simon to make fun of Heinz, as if Heinz lost face, that would mean that he would be embarrassed too.

If the three of them lost face in front of Simon, it meant that his mother would be in the same situation too.

He could not allow that to happen, especially not in front of Simon.

However, if he did call him dad, then Heinz would have won and gotten what he wanted. In the future, he would always have to call him dad.

As Gary was deep in thoughts, he rolled his eyes several times, and a faint glint of light seeped out.

He looked at Heinz's gaze which was filled with expectation. His expectant gaze was almost making Gary give in.

Just how much did Heinz wanted him to call him dad?

Gary hesitated for a while again. After that, he blurted out, "Dad, what are you doing? Why must you do this in front of Simon? Don't you know that he is impotent? You have a lot of children, but Uncle Simon doesn't have any. If I call you that, it would be a torture to him. Dad, that's so cruel of you."

Gary really called him dad, and Heinz got so excited that his eyes were brimming with tears as he heard his 20 over years old son finally called him that.

Heinz had waited for so many years, and he had never stopped hoping to hear Gary call him dad.

However, it had been over 20 years, and Gary already even had a girlfriend, yet he had never called him dad.

On that day, he had actually called him that.

He even did it in front of Simon. Heinz was so elated that he almost jumped up.

He felt really grateful for Simon's stubbornness.

If it weren't for Simon, his son would definitely still not call him dad.

Could it be considered a blessing in disguise?

It was supposed to be a disgusting matter in a sticky situation, but he actually got something out of it.

His long-awaited wish had finally been fulfilled.

It had obviously been such a difficult task to him, but at the same time, it felt so simple.

That must be what a happy surprise felt like.

Heinz walked over and hugged his tall and strong son in his arms.

He used as much strength as he had, almost squashing Gary.

He was his first child with Grace.

Gary was a few centimetres taller than Heinz then.

As he was being embraced by Heinz who was really excited, Gary frowned, feeling a little helpless. He said, "That's quite enough. We're so old now, yet you are still hugging me. We are not women, there is no need for this."

"Son, I am happy. This is the happiest day of my life. I feel so happy that I am about to fly." Heinz's excitement was indescribable.

The tears in his eyes were flickering, and they were tears of joy.

"You should still take care of Uncle Simon's feelings. His heart must be bleeding now!" Gary reminded him deliberately. He even looked at Simon with disgrace.

Heinz snorted and said disdainfully, "Who cares about him? Does this have anything to do with him?"

Gary also smiled. "If it weren't for him, how could you be so happy in comparison?"

"Oh, that's right, if you put it this way, I guess I do have to thank him for it. How would I have gotten that benefit if it weren't for him? Don't you agree, Gary?" Heinz laughed, looking as though he had gotten a huge advantage.

Gary glanced at the smug old man's face, he did not expose him. Instead of embarrassing him in public, he only smiled faintly. "That's right, my dear old dad, let's not make things too awkward or go too far. That is the most basic thing we should do as humans."

"Unfortunately, Simon doesn't understand." Heinz patted his son's back and still refused to let go.

Gary could only remind him, "Dad, let go of me first."

"No, I couldn't," Heinz said once more, "Gary, my son, dad really couldn't bring himself to let you go."

It had been so long, and it was not easy for him at all.

He had waited until he was old for that.

Simon frowned at the conversation between the father and the son and he shouted in an impatient manner, "You two, stop acting so filial in front of me. It's disgusting. Don't think that I don't know, you two are just trying to enrage me."

"Yes, that's right. I am filial to my dad. You can't have it even though you wanted it. You might even get to be a father if you work hard for the rest of your life, and don't get yourself back in jail, but it would be even harder for you if you go ck to jail again. Anyway, I don't care about you anymore, I am in a good mood today." Heinz did not even look at Simon. He patted Gary on back again, and finally let him go. However, his gaze was still fixed on Gary. He was staring at him like he was his most outstanding piece of art.

He was his unique masterpiece.

It was something that he could create only once in his life.

For the first time in over 20 years, Gary called him dad.

It was spectacular!

Heinz thought of all the hardships he had to go through and the coldness he had to endure over those years. Even after everything he did, Gary never called him dad. He thought that he had lived a difficult life. He did not look away.

His gaze was still fixed on Gary.

Gary was a piece of art which was made by Grace and him.

He was the best work he made, and Gary had a great sense of pride that he was born with, which was inherited from him.

However, this trait of his can be seen even more obviously in Gary.

He truly admired his son. He admired his son from the bottom of his heart because of how he held on to it all those years.

At that moment, Ernest glanced at Gary too, and he felt that Gary was doing it on purpose.

He was only using the opportunity to his advantage.

Due to Simon's appearance and the opportunity he gave them, Gary took the opportunity and just went with the flow and called Heinz dad.

On the surface, it seemed that he was only trying to maintain the harmony of the family. Gary was putting on an act of being a filial son to his kind father so that an outsider like Simon would not think of them as a joke.

However, in reality, Gary took advantage of the opportunity and went with it. He had been persistent for so many years, and it was most probably because he could not replace a proper chance to do it.

Ernest always had a feeling that Gary had wanted to call Heinz dad for a long time already.

However, perhaps it was because of how long it had been, he did not know how to change his address towards him, so he didn't.

Thanks to Simon then, he found that perfect chance to jump in.

At that moment, they finally had a breakthrough. They really should thank Uncle Simon for that.

Ernest smiled slightly, being satisfied with how perfect everything turned out to be.

Grace could finally be relieved that Heinz's long-awaited wish had finally come true.

He looked at Simon and said, "I say, Uncle Simon, my father is really happy today. If you can promise that we will live in peace together in the future, maybe my dad can give you a general amnesty. However, it you insist on continuing to cause troubles, we will have to continue to play this game with you."

Hearing that, Heinz immediately nodded and said with great approval, "Yes, Ernest is very right. Simon, think about it yourself. If you insist on challenging us, then you can continue to stay in prison. You have been to prison before, I am sure you know what it will feel like to go back inside. Do you want to stay in prison all your life?"

"Heinz, stop threatening me. Yes, you have me now. It's my fault for not being smart enough, but don't even think about humiliating me." Simon retaliated in anger.

Heinz chuckled. "Am I humiliating you? Did you mishear what I said? I'm just mocking you. It's not a humiliation."

Was there any difference between the two?

Ernest and Gary exchanged glances.

The two of them looked at Heinz at the same

time.

Heinz laughed happily, as if there was nothing else in the world that could make him so happy.

That day, anyone could see a happy light glittering in his eyes.

"You!" Simon cursed. "Humph. You are shameless!"

"Who is the shameless one here?" Heinz looked at him and said, "From the very beginning, you and Marry were the most shameless ones. You cause Ernest and Gary to be separated, and you separated Grace from them for so long. They are her own children. You victimized a baby. You are extremely cruel. You still have the nerve to say that I am shameless. Simon, if I am shameless, then you are totally inhuman."
