True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1838
She had never been consoled by him like that before, or been treated with so much tenderness by him.
On top of that, all of those were only for her.
How could Marry not get emotional and cry upon thinking back on her hardships over these years? Only she knew how hard it was.
Her tears kept falling and Simon couldn't wipe them all away no matter how hard he tried.
Her hot tears kept rolling down her cheeks, and her cry was getting fiercer.
The tears on her fair cheeks made her look even more delicate. Simon's heart ached upon seeing that and as he continued to wipe her tears away.
His heart was also trembling. He frowned, and his heart ached for her.
He hurriedly helped Marry wipe away her tears, with his hand and his lips, over and over again.
He could only keep apologizing to make her stop crying.
It was somehow ridiculous, but he had never coaxed someone even at his age.
Let alone Marry.
He was always cold to Marry.
Although it was Marry's schemes that got them together, he still took the responsibility to marry her. He had always treated her like a guest all those years, and they had always very distant as a couple. They never really had a huge fight, or actually understood what each other really thought about things.
Marry was always watching him too closely and she was also paranoid if he would do something behind her. Back then, Simon was also still obsessed with Grace, and he felt that he really liked her, which made him even more distant from Marry.
Of course, He had never tried to make Marry happy either.
Back then, he was always very absent even when he was with her, but right then, he was actually being so patient with Marry and he was willingly coaxing her. Even Simon himself was surprised by what was going on.
He used to think that he could always treat her indifferently if Marry could could just be sensible and not cause any problems with their almost nonexistent marriage then. However, that wasn't the case.
Marry couldn't keep herself out of trouble.
Neither could he live a plain and peaceful life.
Thus, their marriage back then was a failure, and their lives weren't great or peaceful at all either.
As they were feeling imbalanced for a lot of things in their marriage, they ended up causing a lot of troubles, and both of them had paid a hefty price for all of them.
As they had gone through the storm then, they wanted to settle down again.
However, there wasn't much time ahead. They had already wasted so many years, and life was too short for it to be taken for granted.
Simon didn't want to waste any more time, and he knew that he couldn't afford to waste any more time.
He wanted to build a simple life together with Marry. He wanted to raise a child with her and live happily together as a family without bothering themselves with someone else's business.
He was only obsessed with someone else because he was too stubborn and had refused to face the reality back then.
Marry was still crying despite Simon planting kisses one after another on her cheeks.
He kept kissing her for as long as she was crying.
At the end, when Marry finally stopped crying, she stared at him with her slightly swollen eyes and embarrassed face. They continued to look at each other.
After a long, long time.
She took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry, I can't stop crying."
"It's all right. I am to blame for this." Simon shook his head as his eyes got teary too.
Marry had not shed a single tear in a long time, but her tears couldn't be stopped for quite a while. In fact, she was crying day and night when she was first sent to jail. However, her feelings grew numb over the years.
Later on, she started to move on and let go of her grudges from the past. She was only crying then as she was moved by his actions and as memories was brought back.
Perhaps the best part of certain things in life could only be seen after having gone through the worst storms together.
She did not want to waste any more time on things that weren't relevant.
She just wanted to be with Simon.
Life was short, and there were still a lot of beautiful things in life.
She wanted to spend the rest of her life with the man she loved deeply.
She didn't want to bring up the ugly events of their past again.
She would be content if Simon was willing to settle down with her.
Even if he cheated on her in the past, even if he had tons of affairs with other women, just like what Grace's sons had told her, she could still let go of everything if it would mean that she could finally have Simon to her own after everything that had happened.
It could be considered as an accomplishment for her too, if she could finally make him settle down and live a simple life with her.
That was also the wisest decision Simon had made after living for so many years.
He came to know what he needed in life, and what was right for him.
That was enough.
There was no need to hold on to the past.
Just like how she slowly got to realize she should start moving on from her grudges against Grace.
Marry felt that she could move on completely from what Simon did when he cheated on her too.
As they looked at each other, Simon hesitated and asked, "Marry, do you still love me?"
Marry was startled. Her eyes got teary again.
She pursed her lips and nodded.
Simon suddenly felt his confidence surging.
Simon stared fixedly at her and whispered, "Can I?"
Marry blushed and nerved herself to nod.
Simon could no longer hold back.
Outside the villa.
Gary and Ernest were standing in the scenic garden as they stared at Heinz.
Gary said, "With your hardwork, it seems like they have really reconciled with each other. Aren't you worried that they will work together and take revenge on you and mom if they are actually back together?" "He was never my opponent," Heinz said confidently.
Gary sneered. He then glanced at Ernest and said, Lets go.
Ernest also glanced at Heinz and then said to Gary, "We are definitely leaving, but we can't leave dad alone here. I can't be rest assured, especially now that mom is pregnant. Knowing how a huge flirt he is, I can't bring myself to leave him alone here with other woman."
Heinz immediately protested.
"Hey, be careful with your words. Do you think I'm that kind of person? It hurts me a lot that you're judging me like this. Regardless, I still know what I could do and what not to do. Your mom and I are solid, so stop making me sound like a shameless pervert."
"Aren't you one?" asked Ernest in a ruthless tone.
