True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1881
"Really?" Sylvia asked in disbelief.
"Of course." Grace laughed and continued, "I wasn't angry with you. I'm just strict with you because I'm worried that you'll go overboard and hurt yourself. I hope that you can one day understand that you're an outstanding individual. You don't need your dad or your father to succeed in your future career. That's why I've been so strict. Perhaps I made some mistakes educating you, but I always mean well. Are you able to understand that?"
"I know. Mr. Trevino explained it all to me." Sylvia continued, "Mommy, I know you have good intentions. I know you're doing this for my own good. I lost my temper today, that was my fault. Mommy, can you forgive me for that?"
Grace was surprised once more. Sylvia had mentioned Mr. Trevino again. It seemed that the man was a much more prominent influence than the head teacher.
Mr. Trevino's charm was sky high. It only took him a few days to capture his daughter's heart. Grace thought that he must be really amazing to have earned so much respect from Sylvia.
"Silly girl, I've told you that I wasn't angry with you." Grace laughed again.
"But Dad said you were crying."
"Don't listen to your dad. He was spouting nonsense," Grace said, "I didn't cry."
Sylvia asked with uncertainty coloring her tone, "Really?"
"Of course." Grace assured her daughter. "I'm fine. Don't worry. I'm really not angry."
"That's a relief, then." Sylvia smiled. "Mommy, I promise to not upset you in the future."
Grace let out a warm, pleased smile at that. "Sylvia, if you like living in the school dorms, you can feel free to live there. You can come home if you don't like it there. I'm going to lift the restrictions I set for you." "Mommy, will you still be angry at me if I listen in on my brothers' conversations?" Sylvia asked with a chuckle.
After a short pause, Grace replied, "I don't think you'll be doing that anymore. It's not like they are talking about anything interesting these days."
"You're right. I'm not going to eavesdrop on them anymore," Sylvia said with a soft chuckle. "Mommy, I'll never eavesdrop on my brothers again." "That's good. Alright, let's end our conversation here. Didn't you say something about buying books with Mr. Trevino? You should focus on that." Grace was worried that she would waste Sylvia's time with the call.
"Mommy, you're so great." Sylvia smiled and continued, "Then I'll hang up first. Don't worry. I'll go straight back to school after I finish buying the books with Mr. Trevino."
"I'm not worried. Mr. Trevino is a criminal investigator. I know that he is very reliable." Grace smiled.
"Yes, Mr. Trevino is great." Feng laughed. "Goodbye, Mommy."
The phone call ended after that.
When she looked up, she saw that Heinz was staring at her with eyes full of sadness. He looked upset. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Grace frowned.
"Honey, you're so good at reflecting. After what you said, Sylvia's tone seemed to soften," Heinz said.
Grace didn't know how to react. "Why? Are you jealous?"
Heinz nodded. "Yes, I am. I'm really jealous."
She had no idea how to handle this man. How could he be jealous of his own wife?
She looked at Heinz and said, "She's fine. Mr. Trevino must have told her to call me. Otherwise, based on my knowledge of Sylvia's personality, she would not have called me so quickly. She would probably wait till the end of the day."
Hearing this, Heinz nodded his head. "Yes, that girl is as stubborn as you."
She was stunned and thought to herself, 'This guy is too much. Why did he suddenly drag me into this conversation?'
She took a deep breath, glared at Heinz, then walked out.
"Where are you going?" Heinz asked from behind.
"I'm going for a walk in the garden," Grace said.
She felt the weight from before lift off her shoulders. She was not so worried anymore. As such, she felt like taking a walk outside to ease her mind. She wanted to bring the two babies in her womb out for a stroll with her.
"I'll come with you," Heinz said hurriedly. "Wait for me. I'm going to change. I don't want to wear a suit out, it's getting a bit uncomfortable."
Grace glanced at him and said, "You should have it on. You look more stylish like that."
Heinz leered at his wife and said, "I think I look better without it."
"You're shameless," Grace said. Then, she opened the door and went downstairs.
Heinz changed his clothes in a hurry and quickly caught up to her.
Gary and Celeste had left the house early in the morning to go on a date.
After returning to Northern City, Gary brought Celeste to visit the nearby attractions.
They went to the largest bookstore in Northern City.
Celeste said to Gary, "We've been slacking off for two days now. It's time to study. I want to buy some books. This is the largest bookstore in the city, isn't it?"
Gary knew that Celeste grew up abroad, so she didn't know much about Northern City.
He nodded and started to praise her. "Yes, this is Northern City's largest bookstore. I didn't think you would know that. You're still thinking about studying. Gosh, you're really a good student." Celeste nodded and said, "Yes, I'm a good student. I have a class on classical literature at the moment. Since you're around, you can help me
with it! How nice is that?"
In Boston, they would always end up studying together after their classes. The both of them helped each other out in their studies. Celeste made rapid progress with Gary's help. Celeste felt that being together with Gary had turned her into the best version of herself.
She never forgot about her studies. She was certain that if she didn't study, she would end up distancing herself from Gary. After that, she would not know how to build her self-confidence back up. She learned a lot from Gary. As such, she got better and better at her studies by day.
Of course, she had to work hard. She couldn't slack off too much.
"Let's go and buy some books." Celeste took hold of Gary's arm.
Gary nodded and said, "Alright, let's go."
The two of them walked into the bookstore together.
As soon as they entered the bookstore, they saw a familiar figure inside.
Gary straightened his back and stared at the familiar figure as well. He frowned and asked, "Is she skipping classes?"
Celeste turned to look at Gary with a stunned expression on her face. Following Gary's line of sight, she saw that it was Sylvia.
'Isn't Sylvia supposed to be in school?' she wondered.
Furthermore, Sylvia was living in the school dorms as well. They had no idea why she was out of school at the moment. She was even accompanied by a young and handsome man. Was she out on a date with him?
Gary immediately flew into a rage and muttered angrily, "She's starting to act up. I have to take a few pictures of her as evidence."
Gary hurriedly took out his phone and took pictures of Sylvia and the man.
Sylvia lifted her head and fixed her gaze on the handsome man. The man was in his early 20s. He had an impassive expression on his face and had cold eyes.
Sylvia stared at the man shamelessly. She had stars in her eyes.
Gary clicked his tongue and sighed once again. "She looks completely infatuated. I can't believe she's fallen in love at such a young age."
Hearing that, Celeste frowned and protested, "She's your sister. Don't be so harsh on her. Besides, I think it's normal. Aren't you being too sensitive?" "No, it's not normal." Gary said, "Celeste, look at her, when have you ever seen her smile like that? She looks like she's trying to seduce the man!"
Celeste was speechless. "You're being too critical of her. I don't agree with you. I think she's just enthused."
"That doesn't seem right. I can tell she's flirting with him at a glance." Gary continued, "She's still so young, yet she's already skipping school and flirting with older men! It's unbecoming! At least I've finally got proof of it now. I can use this evidence to blackmail her or something. This is awesome!"
Celeste was speechless.
"Gary, you shouldn't talk about Sylvia like that. Besides, you were the same when you were younger as well! You kissed me when you were 16 years old," Celeste retorted. She did not like the way Gary talked about Sylvia.
At the thought of that first kiss, Celeste blushed.
They weren't old enough at the time as well.
Gary didn't blush at all. He even said shamelessly, "I'm a boy. What's wrong with me kissing you?"
Celeste widened her eyes and asked, "But I'm a girl! So does that mean you think I'm unbecoming because I let you kiss me?"
