True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 191
If a man didn't respect a woman, he wouldn't take her seriously.
If she was being taken seriously, then the man would respect the woman.
No matter what position the man held, even if he was on top of the pyramid, a relationship wouldn't last long if there was no equality. Grace Smith was very clear about this.
She would rather not be in a relationship that did not have respect and equality.
"Grace." Heinz Jones suddenly saw the red palm print on her cheek. It was very obvious when she tilted her head.
"What's wrong with your face?"
As he spoke, he reached out his hand and put his fingers on her face.
Grace subconsciously stepped back and dodged a little, not giving Heinz any chance to touch her.
"Who hit you?" Heinz stepped forward again. This time, not only did he not leave, he even grabbed her by her shoulder and held her by his side. This gesture made Grace feel very uncomfortable in his arms.
It was really embarrassing and infuriating to be held like this by such a tall man, especially at the entrance of a hospital.
"Let me go," Grace yelled.
"Tell me, who hit you?" Heinz confirmed that there really was a palm print on her face, and it was obviously a hard slap.
Who dared to hit his woman?
Grace commanded coldly, "Let me go!"
"Grace," Heinz became gentle and called her name in a soft voice.
"I said, let me go!" Grace couldn't help but raise her voice and stared at Heinz coldly.
Heinz didn't say a word. He only lowered his head and gazed at her intently.
"Grace, what can I do to soothe your anger?"
"Heinz." Grace was really upset over what had happened today. "Who hit me is none of your business. We are broken up and I am not related to you in any way. I am not being stubborn, and I really do feel tha we are not compatible. Please respect me. All I want is mutual respect but you wouldn't give it to me. You look down on me and even doubted my 'first time'."
After saying that, Grace raised her sight and looked right into his eyes.
At that moment, she saw a hint of shock and astonishment in Heinz's eyes.
He probably didn't expect her to say that.
Grace was also in despair and she continued, "I can be wronged, but I will not allow one to accuse me so unfairly. I can be looked down on temporarily, but I will not allow myself to be simply looked down on. I can be doubted, but I won't allow myself to be doubted without a second thought."
Because of the frustration, her eyes were red, and her face was flushed with anger.
Heinz narrowed his eyes and them on hers.
He could feel the clear rejection emitting from her.
The resistance was like a needle, piercing into Heinz's heart in an instant.
This emotion was genuine. She was not pretending.
Heinz frowned. After a long time of silence, he said, "Grace, let's talk. Let's replace a place and sit down."
"No need," Grace refused.
The day Heinz humiliated her was the end of the road.
"Then why did you go to the hospital?" he asked in a low voice. "Why did you go to the hospital in the middle of the night?"
Grace's eyes suddenly turned impassive and a trace of guilt flashed across her face. She was very anxious, but then she coldly turned to look elsewhere.
"It has nothing to do with you."
Regardless, Heinz grabbed her shoulders firmly with both hands, lowered his head, and leaned over to kiss her lips.
Grace was shocked and opened her eyes wide. The handsome face in front of her was so brooding, and his bloodshot eyes were looking right at her. They were so affectionate.
Grace frowned and immediately stepped back. "Who said you could do that?"
Heinz said in a low voice, "Let's stop quarreling, shall we?" "Heinz, get out of here." Grace really didn't want an ambiguous and self-deprecating relationship with Heinz anymore. However, not only did Heinz not listen to her, but he also blocked her words again.
He was a little irritated by her indifference, so he just ignored her words and physically felt her.
Of course, Grace did not like this at all and did not want to be taken advantage of.
However, the more she behaved like this, the more stubborn Heinz was. He insisted on letting her indulge herself, as if they were having a competition.
Grace suddenly realized that they were at the entrance of the hospital where people often passed by. Because she was really helpless, she reached out to pinch Heinz's waist. "Hiss-" Heinz inhaled sharply. "Did you really pinch me?"
It sounded as if he was aggrieved.
"Let me go," Grace said harshly.
Heinz glanced at her, lowered his head, and said in a low voice, "Grace, I can see that you are angry. However, I really don't think what you said is a big deal." When she realized that his attitude was still the same, she felt that everything was pointless. There was no need to say more, so she turned around and left. Heinz stepped forward again and followed her, "Hey, stop being stubborn, okay? The child last night was my sister's."
"That is none of my business," Grace said coldly. "You will never know what the problem between us is because you always feel that you are superior." After that, she turned around and left without any hesitation.
Heinz stood there and watched her leave. Unexpectedly, he felt a little defeated.
He couldn't believe that she had argued with him like that.
Heinz was stunned for a while. Watching her striding away without any hesitation or reluctance, Heinz felt a little anxious.
Lester quickly approached Heinz and asked in a low voice, "President, are we going to follow Miss Smith?"
"Go and replace out who hit her," Heinz said in a deep voice. "It happened not long ago, so it should've been caught by the hospital's surveillance system."
"Yes." Lester quickly left for the hospital's logistics department.
Grace came out of the hospital with her breath still stuck in her throat.
Alice quickly caught up with her. "Sister, sister, what's wrong with you? I just saw Heinz kiss you in public. Why did you seem so resistant? Are you two quarreling?" "Alice?" Grace sighed helplessly when she saw Alice shoot so many questions breathlessly. "This matter is very complicated. In short, we are not from the same world. I can give in, but I am afraid that I can't give in every single time. I cannot allow myself to be treated like that anymore."
"He looked down on you?" Alice was very surprised. "How dare he look down on you?"
Grace smiled and said bitterly, "He will never change. He will always think that he is superior to me, or anyone for that matter."
"Oh, my God," Alice couldn't help exclaiming. "What gave him the confidence?"
Grace didn't know what to say. However, the fact that Heinz didn't have a child with another woman was still comforting.
It turned out that it was his sister's child. No wonder they were related by blood.
"Alice, let's go and have a meal. I have something to ask you." Grace took her to a restaurant not far from the hospital. They ordered some pasta and sat down.
Alice was a little anxious as she had guessed what her sister was going to ask her.
Alice took a deep breath and said, "Sister, I know what you want to say. You don't need to ask. I will tell you everything."
