True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1911
Leah felt very cold, so she bought a coat, put it on, and continued shopping.
Her phone rang several times, but she didn't pay attention to it. Later, she found that they were not just calls from Ernest, but also calls from Norval and her mother.
She simply turned off her phone altogether.
She didn't want to talk to anyone. All she wanted then was to be alone for a while. Otherwise, she felt like she would die of suffocation.
Leah did not return to her apartment. Instead, she signed up for a three days short trip.
When she got on the car, she turned on her cell phone and sent a message to Ernest, "I'll leave town for three days for some matters. I won't contact you these days. It's my own business and has nothing to do with you. Don't think too much and don't worry about me."
After sending the message, Leah turned off the phone.
At that moment, she felt a great relief.
When Ernest received the message, he was very surprised. He had already arrived at Leah's apartment, and it was already afternoon, but Leah wasn't home yet.
He finally got a message, but it wasn't what he wanted to see. So, he immediately called, but the phone was turned off.
Ernest was very upset.
Leah shut him outside of her heart.
Even if she left for her own business, there was no need for her to hide things from him. She did not answer the phone and even turned off the phone. Who was the person who called her?
Ernest took out his phone and called Clinton. "Clinton, help me replace out where Leah is now."
"Yes, young master." Clinton went to check immediately.
After hanging up the phone, Ernest paced back and forth in the room, waiting for the update.
After half a day, Clinton still had not replied Ernest. Having waited and started feeling impatient, Ernest could only call Clinton again.
"Haven't you found her yet?" Ernest asked.
Clinton held the phone and looked at Heinz opposite him.
Heinz gave him a look, hinting him.
Clinton immediately said to the phone, "No, young master, there is still no news."
Ernest frowned. "Well, hurry up and check her whereabouts."
"I'm checking," Clinton said respectfully, "I'll call immediately if there's any news." Ernest hung up the phone.
When Heinz saw Clinton hanging up the phone, he said, "Are they quarrelling?"
Clinton shook his head and said, "I don't know either. President, if we don't tell Young Master about Miss Winston's trip, he will be more anxious, won't he?"
"Before telling Ernest, let's make sure what happened first." Heinz felt that it was very strange. Everything was fine during breakfast in the morning, but why did it suddenly change? It was just a short period of time. It was too soon for them to be quarrelling.
Ernest didn't even have news of Leah then. Moreover, Leah went for a trip. Based on her location then, it should be a short trip.
Therefore, it could be seen that they just had a quarrel. The little girl was angry and planned to run away from it.
As someone who was experienced in that, Heinz felt that if he directly told the whereabouts of Leah to Ernest at that moment, the problem would not be solved.
It might be better to give them a short time to calm down and to give each other some space.
"If he is anxious, he will reflect on his behavior," Heinz said faintly, "Leah is not an unreasonable girl."
"Young Master Ernest is not unreasonable either." Clinton couldn't help but to stand up for Ernest.
After hearing that, Heinz laughed lightly and said, "According to your logic, the reason why they have a quarrel is because the other party is bad?"
Clinton was startled and shook his head.
"That's not true, but it's obvious that the girl is in the wrong if she ran away from it," Clinton said.
Heinz laughed. "Clinton, will you be able to replace a girlfriend in the future if you're going to think like this?"
Clinton paused. He didn't say anything. He didn't think about replaceing a girlfriend. He didn't know what was in a woman's mind. Anyway, he didn't want to know.
"As long as two people quarrel, both of them are responsible for it. It takes two to tango. It's just that one of them might be less wrong than the other." Heinz thought for a moment and continued to say, "Don't tell Ernest where Leah is first, let him quiet down for a while and reflect on his own behavior. This will be good for both of them in the future."
"Yes." Although Clinton didn't understand what the president meant, he still followed the order respectfully.
"In addition, keep a close eye on the whereabouts of Leah to ensure her safety," Heinz said again.
"Yes." Clinton repeated.
After an hour, Ernest called again, but there was again no news of Leah.
He could not help but to doubt. "Clinton, have you actually checked it for me?"
Ernest felt that with Clinton's ability, he should be able to replace Leah in a few hours.
Yet, every time he asked Clinton, he would say that they were still investigating and there was no news yet, which made Ernest start to suspect that Clinton did not help him replace out where Leah was at all. Even Clinton felt a little guilty too, but he didn't dare to tell Ernest that it was the president's idea.
Reluctantly, Ernest was feeling helpless and could only try to think of other ways.
There was still no news of Leah even at night. Ernest was extremely anxious. He didn't go back to the Jones family's house, but just waited in the apartment.
He was worried that Leah might be back as soon as he left.
He was even worried that Leah would not go upstairs after seeing his car downstairs, so he asked someone to drive the car away.
However, he did not receive any news of Leah, and he did not see her either.
Only then did Ernest realize that Leah was intentionally avoid him, so she would not go home.
He even called Rowane to check if Leah had been in touch with her. After beating around the bush, he finally asked for Leah's whereabouts indirectly.
Rowane however asked him in surprise, "Isn't my sister with you?"
Ernest then only realized that Leah did not contact Rowane either, which made him even more anxious and worried.
Just like that, there was no news of Leah at all. She also turned off the phone so that Ernest could not get in touch with her.
Ernest was so worried that he had tried every method to contact Leah, but there was still no news.
He waited for a day and a night. The next day at noon, Clinton finally told him that Leah had booked for a short trip with a travel agency.
Ernest's voice became sharp, "Clinton, did you know it since yesterday?"
Clinton stuttered, "Nn... no."
Ernest seemed to have understood something. "Did my father know about this as well?"
"No, no, Young Master." Clinton quickly denied.
Ernest chuckled and said, "It seems that he did know. Well, Clinton, I won't put you in a difficult situation."
"Young Master, the president is doing this for your own good." Clinton couldn't help but to put in some good words for Heinz.
Not listening to him, Ernest hung up the phone.
He immediately went downstairs, and drove to look for Leah.
No matter what, he had to replace Leah first and confirm that she was safe and sound. Only then could he relax.
