True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1949 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 724)
Leah thought about it as she looked at the building then said, "This is naturally a great place. From a business point of view, I will even say that this is an extremely good place." Ernest was a little surprised at the praise. He looked at Leah he smiled after a while,
"It's true. What happened before has nothing to do with the beauty of the location. It is indeed a great place," Leah continued saying, "I won't think that this is a bad place just because something happened to some people here."
"That's well put." Ernest nodded sincerely as he praised her, "Leah, great job, it seems like you are suitable to be a lawyer."
Leah was a little embarrassed at the compliment. "I feel embarrassed after hearing what you said."
"What's there to be embarrassed about? I still remember the first time I met you. Your mentality is much better now compared to back then." Ernest thought of the times where Leah's words shocked him and could not hold back his laughter.
Leah joined in the laugh. "Stop teasing me, I was so heartless back then. Who would have thought that I would end up becoming your girlfriend?"
"Even if you are my girlfriend, you still have to be yourself. I hope that you can continue being yourself," Ernest said seriously, "Don't feel pressured just because you are my girlfriend." Leah nodded. "Okay, I will try my best."
The two of them looked at each other and laughed again.
"Come on, shall we go downstairs for dinner?" Ernest looked at his watch. Almost twenty minutes had passed.
They were supposed to eat in half an hour. Their time was almost up.
Leah was really hungry too.
Were they supposed to eat by themselves? What about Gary and Celeste?
"Are we just going down to eat by ourselves? What about your brother and Celeste?"
"I want to ask them too, but who knows how long it will take for them to finish?" Ernest laughed and said, "So, I think that we should worry about ourselves first."
Leah laughed. "That's right, let's go then."
With that, the two of them prepared to go downstairs together.
As soon as she opened the door, the door of the next room opened too.
What a coincidence!
The four of them met in the corridor again.
Gary was not surprised when he saw Ernest and Leah. On the contrary, he seemed calm. He smiled as he looked at them. "You're here?"
"Good evening, Gary, Celeste." Leah was very lively, she greeted them in a bright and clear voice.
"You're finally here." When Celeste saw them, she was also very happy and excited.
She thought that they would not come.
She did not expect to see them as soon as she opened the door. This was such an unexpected thing.
"Celeste, since we said that we would come, then we would keep our word." Leah held Celeste's arms as she said that. "When we arrived, we told the butler to prepare dinner in a little while. It is almost time. Come on, let's go have dinner together."
The two girls went downstairs together side by side, leaving the two men behind yet again.
Gary shrugged as looked at Ernest and teased, "I thought you two would only come here after two days." "Did you think that we would choose the room farthest from you?" Ernest raised his eyebrows and retorted.
Gary raised his eyebrows and admitted, "Yes, that's right. I thought that you would choose the room that is the furthest from Celeste and me. I seemed to have forgotten that you're someone who doesn't play by the rules."
"You two had a long afternoon nap," said Ernest suddenly.
Gary was stunned at the change in topic then laughed. "That's right. Anyway, we're on holiday. We went to sleep since we had time."
"Sure you did." How could Ernest not know what he meant when he said that they would sleep for a while.
They both knew what it meant, but neither of them pointed it out.
"Let's go downstairs to eat." Gary stretched his back. His movements were extremely lazy and a little emotional too. "I am kind of hungry or
Ernest glanced at his brother before he smirked and said without hesitation, "You overexercised, of course, your appetite will increase. It's just that you shouldn't overwork your body or you will be completely drained."
"Scram!" Gary sneered. "Is that a warning or an insult? I think you should also pay attention to your body, don't let Leah drain everything out from you."
"You don't have to worry about this, I have confidence in my body." Ernest did not avoid the topic. "Leah has great strength too. But that doesn't seem to be the case for Celeste. You'd better take it easy, or she might need to take medicine again."
It was really just a reminder.
Gary was surprised. He then remembered that Celeste once mentioned that she went to see a doctor.
"It looks like I really have to bring Celeste for a checkup to see if there are any changes in her body." Gary made up his mind on the spot for a health checkup.
However, Ernest did not think much of it.
It was Gary and Celeste's business. They would naturally plan out their lives, there was no need for other people to worry about it.
"Well then, I wish you good luck." With that, Ernest went downstairs.
Gary followed suit. "Thanks for your blessing. We will definitely try our best too."
Ernest stopped, he understood the meaning in
Gary's words.
"Are you going to have a child so soon?" Ernest asked.
Gary said, "I did not think of it before, but when I saw mom and Heinz, I thought that it wouldn't be bad to have a child so soon. After all, we will be tired if we have a child when we are older."
"I did not expect you to become such a traditional man." Ernest smiled and seemed a little surprised.
"There are still a lot of things you wouldn't expect. What about you two? Are you two going to continue living your lovely lives?"
"We won't have a child now. It's not the right time yet since we still have to be separated from each other for another two to three years. Besides, it will be difficult for us to have children when Leah still has to finish her studies."
"There are a lot of mothers in the midst of their studies now," Gary told Ernest as they went downstairs. "I think that if we really have the chance, it will be better to have a child. After all, it will be a special experience for them to grow up with the Mom's new babies."
However, Ernest only sneered, he thought that having his children growing up with his siblings was a bit weird. He even felt a chill run down his spine.
"Forget it." Ernest refused Gary's proposal right away.
"What? Do you think it's bad?" Gary asked with a smile. He shifted his gaze, he knew what was on Ernest's mind.
Ernest looked at his brother, his eyes were full of enlightenment. "Do you want your son or daughter to call their peers 'uncle and auntie'? Don't you think the child will be very confused? I don't care what you think. Anyway, I don't want my children to suffer such a loss. We will talk about this after a few years."
"You are thinking too much, I did not think that much," Gary said.
"Humph!" Ernest said with a chuckle, "I doubt it."
"Let me put it this way. Fate is not something that we can control. It is not something that we can summon, nor is it something that we can prevent."
"I did not expect you to believe in fate." Ernest sighed. "It seems that you have been badly tortured by fate, otherwise, how would you believe in it so much?"
"Sometimes, it doesn't matter if we believe in it or not," Gary said indifferently, "Besides when we replace ourselves stuck, we can try to trust in fate. It will make us more optimistic." "You should not be thinking like that," Ernest frowned and looked downstairs, "Is Celeste affecting your mood?"
Gary smiled but did not say anything.
Ernest did not continue asking either.
Soon, the two of them arrived downstairs. The housekeeper had already prepared a sumptuous dinner and laid it out on the table. At that moment, Celeste and Leah were already sitting at the table.
The two girls looked at the mouth-watering food on the table with shining eyes. Their bright eyes seemed to announce that they were starving.
By the time the men came down, their eyes were filled with resentment. They looked at their boyfriends, blaming them for being so slow.
They were starving, yet those two men were still so slow. D*mn them!
When they saw their girlfriend's resentful looks, they were stunned. Then they laughed.
They understood why their girlfriends were so hungry.
It was because they had used up too much of their energy.
"Can we eat now?" Leah was hungry. She had always been a foodie. Seeing the amount of delicious food on the table, she was waiting politely but her patience was slowly dying.
"I am hungry too," Celeste whispered to Gary.
"Then hurry up and eat."
"What are you waiting for?"
Gary and Ernest spoke at the same time.
Leah and Celeste both looked at them.
Leah whispered, "Since when did Gary and Ernest become so dawdling? They can't stop talking even when they are walking down the stairs?"
Ernest sat down beside Leah and looked at her dotingly, then he lowered his head and asked, "Are you in a hurry?"
"That's right, I am so hungry that my stomach is growling."
"Well then, let's eat." Ernest gave her some food and took good care of her.
Gary gave Celeste some food as well, he noticed that Celeste had gotten a lot slimmer and could not help but feel worried. It seemed that he really needed to bring Celeste to see the doctor.
Ever since she came back, she had not gained any weight. Gary hoped that she would gain a few pounds.
However, the more hopeful he was, the more disappointed he would be. Celeste's waist was getting thinner and thinner.
As if she could not get any fatter no matter how much he fed her.
Gary was greatly worried. Perhaps Celeste still felt a great amount of stress, especially since Cindy's case had not been resolved yet.
Perhaps everything would be settled after she was sentenced.
"What kind of activities are you guys planning for after dinner?" Gary suddenly asked Ernest and Leah. Ernest was stunned, he narrowed his eyes at his brother. "What kind of activities can we do at night?" "We can look at the stars," Gary said, "Isn't that what girls like?"
