In Boston.

After Lowell hung up the call, he frowned and looked towards the direction of the bathroom in the ward.

At that moment, a slender figure came out from inside. She looked at Lowell, and her lips twitched.

Lowell's eyes were sharp and cold. He glanced at Janice's face expressionless.

"Come on, you don't have to treat me so coldly." Janice smiled. She did not mind Lowell looking at her like that. "We are not enemies, are we?"

Lowell's eyes were calm, he said nothing. All he did was staring at Janice with a pair of cold eyes, as if he was looking at a stranger.

Janice smiled again, and she walked to the side of the bed. Then, she continued, "We used to be very good friends after all. Anyway, now that I am pregnant with Gary's child, I do not think that our relationship should be this cold."

"Janice, I should advise you to not be so sure of yourself," Lowell warned, "We can't be sure that the child belongs to Gary just based on your words alone. We need to wait until he arrives to be able to confirm it."

"You don't have to worry about this. Gary had no suspicions, did he?" Janice smiled confidently. "Isn't he coming right after he received the phone call?"

Lowell sneered and asked, "Who told you that he was coming after receiving the call?"

"You see, you are still the same. I have heard you making the phone call." Janice did not hide that she eavesdropped on Lowell's call, and her intention was clear.

Lowell sneered again and he squinted at Janice. "You are just using me."

Janice chuckled and said, "Don't make it sound so bad. I have no choice but to do this for the sake of my child. Lowell, don't be angry. After all, this child would be related to you too, right?"

"It's better to end a child's life before it is born, rather than to let it be shunned if it's to be born. This way, it would not be so painful for the child." Lowell took a step forward as he looked at Janice. "What do you think?"

Janice was stunned when she suddenly felt Lowell's murderous stare.

She could not believe that there would be such a sharp gaze coming from Lowell. His eyes were ever so cold.

At that instant, his temperament was extremely dominating.

Janice was shocked by that.

Her expressions were stiff, she pursed her lips and forced a smile to cover up the embarrassment and awkwardness she felt, as well as the panic in her heart.

"Lo... Lowell," Janice called his name in a low voice. "Don't be so scary. I'm scared."

"You'd best be scared." Lowell snorted, as if he did not believe that Janice would react that way.

That woman had too many tricks up her sleeve, and her methods were not of the ordinary ones either. She was scheming enough to plot against Gary, and that alone was enough to prove how detestable she

was.

Lowell was emotionless when he was facing a woman like her.

At that moment, when he looked at Janice's bright and beautiful face, he was once again reminded of her ugly tactics. He sneered again.

He had finally seen that woman's true colors.

Now that he knew what she was really like, he would never think about her ever again.

From then on, it would be a real closure for him towards her.

However, what about Gary?

He was schemed by tats snake-like woman and lost so badly then. What were Celeste and Gary going to do about that?

In the end, Lowell was still most worried about Gary.

"I am pregnant, and I'm trying to take good care of the child in my womb now. Don't you think that you would scare the child to death like this? What if you are the one who caused the misfortune?" Janice immediately added, "Gary wouldn't even have a chance to do a paternity test, right?"

Lowell sneered. "If it's gone, then all of this can end once and for all."

"However, I'm afraid that Gary won't be able to let that slide." Janice tried her best to calm herself down. She looked at Lowell and said word by word, "I know that you're in favor of Celeste. I also know that Gary doesn't like me. Yet, that night, when Gary was drunk, he was indeed with me."

"You shameless woman." Lowell sneered. "Who knows what kind of sly tactic you used?"

"What kind of tactic do I need to use against a man who has just failed in his relationship?" Janice laughed and said, "It is an undeniable fact that Gary used to have feelings for me. Even if he didn't feelings as strong as what he has for Celeste towards me, he used to like me."

"That's you thinking too highly of yourself," Lowell interrupted her narcissism. "He used to treat you with kindness because you were my friend. Do you really think that he had feelings for you?" "That's not it." Janice shook her head. "I can still tell whether he has feelings for me or not. If it wasn't for Celeste's pregnancy and miscarriage last time, Gary would probably already have deep feelings for me."

"Don't you feel ashamed to mention that?" Lowell was furious when he thought of it.

On that day, Celeste was covered in blood, and she was lying in the hospital. Lowell felt that even he himself could not absolve himself from the blame.

However, Janice had the guts to appear once more.

Back when Celeste came to Boston, she did not reveal her sinister self at all. However, she suddenly appeared then, and even said that she was pregnant for three months.

She even did an amniocentesis to conduct a DNA test in proving that it was Gary's child.

She had clearly planned all of that.

The more Lowell thought about it, the more he could feel a chill running down his spine. How could a woman be this despicable?

The most annoying thing was that he had once fallen in love with her. She used to occupy his mind so much that he couldn't stop thinking of her.

However, as she had exposed her true self then in front of him, Lowell only felt that he was blind.

"Why should I feel embarrassed to mention this?" Janice asked, as if there was nothing wrong with it. "Although we're both women and Celeste's experience is pitiful, it is a fact that her child was defective. It's not certain that she only had the miscarriage after being triggered. Therefore, it can only be said that Celeste's health is not great. We can't prove anything else."

"Hmph." Lowell sneered. That time, his sneer got even colder.

As he got more clear-headed, he could finally see her true colors.

"You don't have to speak so coldly and sarcastically to me. In fact, I'm just pursuing my own love," Janice spoke in a very self righteous and confident manner. "I don't think that pursuing love is something shameful. I have to work hard for my own happiness. I love Gary, and I want him.

I have never tried to hide it, and I don't think it's something I should feel ashamed of."

Lowell squinted at her, his chest was heaving slightly.

At that moment, he was in too much of a depressed state. A ball of fire was rapidly burning in his chest.

He really had an urge to reach out and strangle that shameless woman in front of him.

And, at that moment, when he thought of that, he actually did it.

Lowell suddenly stretched out his hand, he grabbed her neck. He exerted a little more force. As long as he continued strangling her with that force, he would be able to strangle her to death. Janice instantly widened her eyes, and her slender neck was tightly held by Lowell's big hand. She realized that it was starting to get a little difficult for her to breathe.

She felt a little suffocated as she gasped for air.

She got scared all at once. His big, long and slender hand was gripping on to her neck tightly, and he was seemingly exerting more and more strength.

Janice panicked. She wanted him to stop, and she patted Lowell's hand to stop him from going further.

However, the difference in height and power between them made it impossible for her to stop him. She could only stare at Lowell with her eyes widened, a pleading look could be seen in her eyes. Lowell gave a deadly stare to the woman in front of him. Behind his glasses, his gaze was extremely sharp, and his entire body was surrounded by rage.

"Oh!" Janice reached out and patted his hand. Although she did not have much strength, the desired result was still achieved.

Lowell, who was in a rage, was shocked by her pat. When he realized what he had done, only then did he see that Janice's eyes were about to turn deathly white.

He immediately loosened his grip, and Janice fell down on the bed. She coughed.

Then, she continued to cough.

Lowell exerted too much strength. Earlier on, when he was strangling her, he almost made her suffocate.

As Janice finally got some fresh air then, she gasped for air greedily, trying to inhale more oxygen into her lungs.

Lowell looked at her, he said in a condescending tone, "You'd better pray that the child in your womb isn't Gary's. If it really is his child, I wouldn't mind aborting it with my own hands." Lowell needed to take care of Grace's and Heinz's feelings. He wanted Gary and Celeste to have a happy relationship, he did not want them to suffer so much.

Therefore, for the sake of Gary and Celeste, Lowell did not mind personally destroying Janice. He only wanted her to stop harming Gary.

He cold only wait to see Gary's reaction then. He was waiting for the truth.

Janice was frightened by the anger he eluded. She stared at Lowell blankly, her mouth slightly ajar. However, she could not speak for a long time.
