True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1978
His ice-cold voice terrified everyone around.
Janice took a deep breath. When she saw the coldness in Gary's eyes, her expression suddenly changed.
"I... I!" Janice stammered. She wanted to explain herself, however, she realized that she was at a loss for words when she was facing Gary.
Gary's grip on her neck was getting harder, as if he wanted to strangle her to death.
"Ah!" Janice's breathing got rapid, and she was losing her breath fast. She felt as if she was about to suffocate.
The veins on Gary's forehead bulged as he furiously said, "You were daring enough to have schemed against me once, and are you trying to scheme against me again?"
"Gary." Lowell quickly rushed in. When he saw Gary strangling Janice, he quickly stepped forward to stop him as it seemed like he was going to strangle her to death. "Let her go first. She isn't worth you doing this."
Lowell did not want Gary to be implicated because of that. However, Gary was furious. At that moment, it seemed like he was about to turn mad. All he wanted was to end that woman.
Lowell realized that he had no intentions of stopping. He then clenched Gary's wrist forcefully, wanting to stop him.
Slowly, as Lowell exerted more strength, Gary's strength was slightly reduced. Janice's face was already turning from red to purple.
Lowell almost used up all the strength he had to stop Gary from strangling her on the spot.
Gary was furious as he shouted at Lowell, "What are you doing? If it weren't for you, I wouldn't care who she is. I respected her for your sake back then, but I did not expect myself to be schemed by her." When Lowell heard that, his heart tightened.
That's right, he lost himself for her too back then.
It was so much so that he even asked Gary to take good care of Janice.
Back then, he was attracted by her lively attitude, and he thought that she was the loveliest woman in the world. He even thought that she would be his bride someday, and that the two of them would walk together for the rest of their lives.
Lowell also believed that Gary knew he had feelings for her, which was why he treated her as
his own.
That was why Gary was so polite to Janice.
However, who would have thought that Janice was not interested in him but in Gary?
When he was unable to retort to Gary's words, Lowell's face was filled with guilt and apology.
"Cough, cough, cough." Janice covered her neck as she coughed violently.
She looked in Gary's direction in shock. Only then did she believe Lowell's words. He said that Gary would never let her keep the child, even if he knew about its existence. She believed him then. He could tell just how angry he was earlier just by how he strangled her.
Janice panted heavily, and she only spoke when she calmed herself down. "Gary, I know that you are angry, but this is an accident. I still got pregnant in the end. What's more, I am three months pregnant now."
"Shut up."
Before Janice could finish, Gary had already interrupted her. His face was filled with indignation.
His chest was rising and falling, the blue veins on his forehead continued to bulge. His eyes were bloodshot, and his angry look was extremely
terrifying.
Janice was scared.
"Gary, let's leave first." Lowell wanted to urge Gary to go back and rest for a while first. He would then come and settle scores with Janice after that.
Gary glanced at Lowell, and he suddenly asked in a sarcastic way, "What's wrong? Are you feeling distressed for her?"
Was Lowell worried about Janice?
What was wrong with him? Why would he feel sorry for that hateful woman?
Janice was looking forward to Gary's arrival.
However, as she saw Gary acting like that then, she thought that it would be better for him to leave. She was terrified.
When Gary was done shouting at Lowell, he turned around and looked at Janice.
Janice was so frightened that she trembled. She hurriedly explained, "Gary, I know that you are very angry about what happened that night. I also know that I shouldn't have gotten close to you that night when you were drunk, but something like that actually happened. That is why I got pregnant, and this is our fate."
"Fate?" Gary sneered. All of a sudden, he lifted his leg and kicked Janice's belly.
"Ah!" Janice subconsciously retreated, but she could not avoid his kick completely. Gary's foot still successfully landed on Janice's stomach.
Janice fell onto the bed and she was in pain, "My stomach hurts. Gary, it is your child. You can't treat me like this. The child is innocent."
She started to complain with tears in her eyes, and she was greatly agitated. However, there weren't any emotions on Gary's face. He only narrowed his eyes and watched her as she lay on the bed clutching her stomach. He did not even try to help her.
He wanted nothing more than to get rid of the child by that.
Lowell was feeling guilty and distressed, but he could understand how angry Gary felt at that moment.
He had always been a proud man, so how could he not be angry after being tricked by that woman time and time again?
Even though the child was innocent, it still shouldn't come into the world. Instead of suffering for the rest of its life, it would be better off to kill it while it was still not born yet.
Lowell did not say anything. He knew that if he continued to talk, Gary would only get more agitated.
Instead of letting that happen, it would be better to just hold it in first and wait for the right time to speak.
Gary looked at Janice in disgust. Then, he glared at Lowell and said solemnly, "Do not let her try anything anymore. Abort the child if we have to."
"Okay." Lowell nodded.
Gary tuned around. With that, he walked out.
At that moment, Janice cried out, "Gary, how could you do this to me? When you were drunk that night, you hugged me. You knew who I was, and you still slept with me. Now, you won't admit it. You are so cruel that you even want to kill your own child.
You are too cruel of a man. You are disloyal and unrestrained, yet you still blame me for everything. We should at least be equally responsible for this matter. If you didn't want it, I would not have succeeded even if I tried to r*pe you.
You were the one who forced yourself onto me, not the other way around. Now, you don't want to admit it. You are really a cold-hearted man.
You are a completely selfish man. You won't even admit it after you had sex with me. Ask yourself, have you ever fallen for me?
I am afraid that you won't even admit it to yourself. You have clearly fallen for me, but you wouldn't admit it, because you don't want other people to say that you are a disloyal man."
Gary stopped. His back was facing Janice, and his body was completely stiff.
Tears streamed down Janice's face as she shouted. She seemed really sad.
Gary's good-looking face further darkened.
He turned around, and no one could tell the expressions on his face. He squinted at Janice. After a long while, he slowly said, "You are right. I should be responsible. I deserve it." Janice was greatly shocked, she dared not look directly into Gary's eyes.
Gary said once more, "If I have to go to hell, I will drag you down with me, and I won't give you any chance to turn it around."
With that, Gary turned around and left, and he did not even look back.
Janice lay on the bed, staring blankly at Gary's back as he left. She could not come back to her senses after a long time.
When she thought of that scene, she could not help shivering still.
Lowell ordered the bodyguards at the door to keep an eye on Janice, then he left too.
He did not know what Gary was going to do, but
he could tell that Gary as really angry that time.
"Gary." Lowell followed him in a hurry. "Are you going to go back to the apartment to rest or what now?"
"Don't follow me. You don't have to worry about Janice anymore," Gary said coldly, "This matter actually has nothing to do with you. I was just a little angry when I was in the ward, that was why I was angry with you."
"This is something that is related to me. If I hadn't introduced you to her, how could all of these have happened?" Lowell blamed himself.
"Okay, that's enough. You don't have to follow me anymore." Gary was getting very impatient. He was furious, but he could not vent his anger anywhere.
