Gary felt even more apologetic when he saw Celeste shedding tears. He immediately comforted her gently, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I should not have used so much strength." "It's okay." Celeste shook her head.

The more she acted that way, the more Gary felt sorry for her. Whether it was because of that incident or because of his roughness then, he still felt sorry for Celeste.

Instead, it was Celeste who comforted him.

She quickly calmed herself down and stopped herself from crying, but the tears which she continued to shed as her emotions welled up made her feel even more frustrated. She could only suppress her emotions once again and not let him discover it.

Gary whispered in her ear, "It's all right. Everything will be fine, Celeste."

Celeste only nodded, she did not say anything else.

Gary kissed her forehead preciously. He cherished her, and his actions comforted Celeste a lot.

She knew that he really cherished her, but that only made her feel sadder. At that same moment, she was determined that she could not let Janice get what she wanted.

After she made up her mind, Celeste wrapped her arms around his neck. The two of them leaned against each other. They were ever so close.

Gary did not give Celeste another chance. He was no longer as rough as before, but he got really gentle. However, that time, it was Celeste who was exhausted.

She almost fell asleep once they were done with it, and she had finished up all the energy she had.

Gary's heart ached slightly when he saw how tired Celeste was with her eyes shut.

He leaned against the window, his face, even under his short black hair, was especially handsome and calm. He was also gently stroking Celeste's hair. He would occasionally pause, and it made him look sluggish at times.

Celeste had fallen asleep. She was in such a deep sleep that she did not wake up no matter how Gary moved around.

He could tell that Celeste was very tired. She might have been forcing herself beyond her limits while they were immersed in their passionate interactions earlier.

Gary slowed down a little bit, he got up and out of bed. He first wiped Celeste's body before taking a shower himself. Then, he changed his clothes and walked out.

Instead of accompanying Celeste in her slumber, Gary quickly walked out, got into his car, took out his phone, and made a phone call.

"Help me check out Janice's schedule for the past six months, especially on the night when we met at the bar four months ago." Gary's tone was solemn and deep. "Investigate all of her phone call records and everything else you can replace out about her. I will pay you double. No, triple."

The person on the other end of the phone laughed. "Are you trying to bribe me?"

Gary was a little startled, he then smiled and said, "If we aren't going to talk about money, are we going to talk about love?"

The other party chuckled and said, "It is not impossible for two men to fall in love, I don't have any objections to being in a relationship with you."

"Screw you." Gary felt much more relaxed after hearing him joking about it. "Seriously, help me investigate her."

"I have already told you to stay away from Janice long ago." "That's right, I regret it now. I should have listened to you back then," Gary said with a wry smile, he felt greatly regretful too. "Mr. Andrews, it is only now that I understand how brilliant you really were back then."

"You will understand too after you experience more." He smiled and said, "You are smart at other things, but when it comes to this, you just don't quite get it."

"That's right." Gary also admitted his wrongdoing and fault open-heartedly.

"Have you been defeated?"

Gary did not expect him to be so sharp with his words. "That's right, otherwise, I would not be asking you to investigate it for me."

"You are so modest now. I feel like I don't even know you now. I will help you investigate. Anyway, I am not short of money. How about this, I will give you a discount, the base price is still the same. There is no need to triple it, you can still tip me though." He was quite sincere as he spoke. "After all, it's very surprising to see you admit your own shortcomings."

"Three times," Gary said, "I don't lack money either."

"Great, that's up to you." The other party smiled and said, "Let me give you a heads up first. Lowell has returned."

"Did Lowell come back?" Gary paused and he was a little confused.

"That's right, he arrived right after you, even though there was a 20 hour gap." On the other end of the phone, he accurately revealed his arrival time. "Before he left, he met with Janice."

Gary's eyes turned cold at once. He was somewhat shocked and immediately asked, "Did Janice call and ask Lowell over?"

"That's right!" The other party laughed. "Lowell has never been able to reject Janice, am I right?"

That was right.

Gary had known about that a long time ago.

He did not speak.

The other party continued to say, "I will keep an eye on Janice, don't worry. However, you might really be in trouble this time." Yes, he was in big trouble.

Gary closed his eyes, feeling frustrated.

"Settle the problem on your end first. I think that your girl might really be hurt this time." He reminded Gary.

"I understand." Gary gripped his phone tightly. "I will think of a way to prevent her from knowing about all of these.

After he ended the call, Gary got out of the car and returned upstairs.

At that point in time, it was already dark.

The moment he entered the door, he could sense the lights flashing outside the curtain.

Ernest and the others must have come back.

He did not know what the two pairs of couples were doing. It was winter, but all of them left the villa to give him and Celeste their own space.

He felt both gratified and warm at the same time.

That was not bad. At least, Celeste had taken the initiative.

Gary rarely had any worries, but the matter at hand was really something he needed to spend a lot of time and effort on.

He looked at Celeste. Although she was asleep, she was frowning as if there was something on her mind and that she wasn't at peace. He didn't know why. However, Gary had always known that Celeste lacked a sense of security.

He had not slept well throughout those days.

He sat down by the bed and gently stroked the space between Celeste's eyebrows, and she immediately relaxed.

Gary was startled, and a gentle smile appeared on his lips. Then, he continued to caress the spot between her eyebrows before he sighed and lifted his fingers. Celeste was fast asleep, but her lips curled slightly, as if she was smiling.

She looked very cute.

She looked so beautiful even when she was sleeping. Her smile was so dazzling, and it was just enchanting. She looked like a painting that came to life. Gary paused for a moment, then, he got up and walked out.

As expected, Ernest and the others had returned.

The four of them were talking and laughing happily. It seemed that they went out to have fun, but he did not know where they went.

Gary stared at them from the stairs.

Maria looked up and saw Gary. She

immediately said, "Gary, wow, you're in good spirits. The rage and gloominess in your body has disappeared. Could it be that something good happened to you after we left in the past few hours?"

Gary raised his eyebrows. Surprisingly, he did not refute her. Instead, he looked at her calmly and said, "It's all thanks to you. At least am in a good mood now." "Oh."- Maria teased him, "It seems that something good had happened. Congratulations." "When are you leaving?" Gary ignored what she said, and he looked at Liam instead.

"Eleven o'clock tonight," Liam said, "We are going back to the production crew. I will probably only see you again on the eve of Spring Festival."

"It's quite good to meet then." Gary walked down the stairs. "Let's get together at that time. By the way, Ernest, Lowell has returned."

"What, is Uncle Lowell back?" Hearing that, Ernest was stunned. He looked at Gary in surprise. "Gary, did he come back with you?" "No, he will only arrive tomorrow noon," Gary replied.

"What? So you two actually didn't come back together." Ernest was very puzzled. "Since you both came back, why didn't you come back together? It is better to have a companion on the way, so you two won't get bored."

"I am afraid you will have to ask him." Gary shrugged," He did not tell me he was coming back when I was there. I guess he only decided on that in the spur of the moment."

"Oh, I see." Ergest nodded. "I was just

wondering why he came back. It is

probably because he misses home. He must be bored and lonely there. It is great that he can come back. That way, all of us can go and have some fun together."

Gary merely smiled, he did not say anything else.

The butler saw that everyone had arrived and quickly went over to ask if they had any order. "Young masters and ladies, it is dinner time. What time are you guys planning to eat?"

"Let's wait a little longer," Maria said. "We just ate something outside. We're not that hungry. Also, Celeste isn't coming down yet."

Maria looked at Gary and asked, "Gary, you aren't hungry yet, are you? If you're not, why don't we have dinner at seven in the evening?"

"Sure." Gary nodded. He was extremely easygoing.

Maria was surprised. She said mischievously, "Gary, why have you suddenly turned so nice? You are too gentle, so gentle that it feels like you have turned into a completely different person."
