True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1996
"There's no need to ask Celeste, we have our own plans tomorrow. You two can go and enjoy yourselves," Gary said indifferently, "You don't have to worry about the two of us."
With that, he went back to his room with Celeste.
Ernest and Leah watched their backs as they left in a hurry, they were very puzzled.
Ernest continued frowning.
Leah thought that it was a little strange too. She muttered to herself, "I don't know what's going on, but it just feels like they are both a little weird. It feels like something is wrong with them. I am even doubting myself, thinking if something is wrong with me."
Ernest smiled and said, "You are not going insane. There is indeed something fishy going on, I just can't place my finger on what it is."
"So you think that there is something strange going on too? I thought that I was the only one who found it suspicious, even the atmosphere felt a little unusual." Leah was filled with curiosity. She felt that Gary had met with a lot of problems on his trip to the United States. Moreover, there were a lot of problems even before he left, and they remained the same after he returned.
"When we proposed to drink earlier, we could already see something wrong is going on," Ernest said as he thought about it, "If I brought up drinking in the past, Gary would agree in a heartbeat. However, he firmly objected to it today." "I don't care, it doesn't matter if he objected to it. Anyway, he seems to treat Celeste quite well. As long as their relationship is stable, nothing else matters. Don't you think so?" Leah was very optimistic about that."
Ernest nodded. That was indeed a matter between Gary and Celeste. If there was nothing wrong with their relationship, then everything was fine.
Even though they had a lot of worries, they could not make the decisions for other people, and they could only let nature take its course.
The two of them then returned to their rooms, and Leah took out her law book and started to read it again. Ernest was very surprised to see how hardworking she was.
"Why are you so serious with your studies these two days? You were avoiding studying when I asked you to do it before."
"I have always been hardworking, okay? It is just that I have neglected about my studies recently because you came back. However, our relationship is stable now, so I can't continue to neglect my studies for lust. It is time to study, don't you agree?"
When Ernest heard Leah's words, he could not help but to laugh. "I am glad you think that way. It is indeed time for us to work hard."
Their relationship was very stable then. It was time they learned something seriously. Besides, Ernest also needed to spare some time to help Leah with finishing her novel.
He also needed to read up his own thesis. It was rare for the two of them to sit in a room be occupied with their studies together after meal.
Occasionally, Ernest would look up at Leah, and he would see her looking at her book with a serious expression. She seemed very cute and beautiful like that. After all, women would give off a lot of charm when they were serious in doing something.
Ernest soon lowered his head and continued to study.
Every time Leah finished reading a chapter, she would look up at Ernest. Sometimes, the two of them would accidentally look at each other, and they could not help but to laugh. The scene was so warm and loving.
In the next room.
After returning to their room, Celeste picked up her book and began to read too.
Gary walked over and sat down opposite of Celeste. "Shall we go to the beach for a couple of days?"
Celeste was stunned. She raised her head and looked at Gary. "You didn't agree to go to the lake when Ernest and Leah suggested it, why do you suddenly want to go to the beach?"
"Even though it would also be on a yacht, but how could being on a yacht at a lake be compared to the vastness of the sea? A yacht is not going to be as warm on a lake than it is on the sea. The weather is so cold now," Gary said, "Also, I think that going to the sea would be more suitable for us."
Celeste looked at Gary seriously. She probably understood what Gary was thinking. Did he want to bring her to the sea as a break up vacation?
Celeste's eyes flickered. Facing Gary's expectant eyes, she finally nodded. "If you really want to go, then let's go. However, we can only stay there for two days at most. We can't leave for too long." "So, are you agreeing to it?" Gary asked in shock.
"I agree. Why does it look like you
are very surprised to see me
agreeing to it?" Celeste extended her hand and gently cupped Gary's handsome face. With a smile, she said, "Why do you want to bring me to the sea alone? Is there some sort of surprise waiting for me?"
Gary merely smiled, he did not show the serious expression he usually had.
When Celeste saw his reaction, she thought that it did not feel like it was going to be a break up trip.
Celeste thought that she might just be overthinking.
"It's just a trip for the two of us. Just imagine how nice it would be. It will be a short vacation."
Gary kept his promise. The next
morning, he took Celeste to the sea.
When they got on the yacht, she found out that they were the only two people on the whole yacht Gary had actually booked the entire for just them, with the staffs on board.
Every staff were on the lower floor, so they had their own space on the deck.
Unless there was a need for them to show up, no one would disturb them at all.
Celeste felt that he had spent too much money, and it was simply a waste of money.
"I thought that everyone else would
be joining us, but we are the only people on the yacht. How boring. It is so big, but we are the only two people here. It's so quiet thaDit's a little scary," Celeste muttered.
Gary smiled and said, "Isn't this great? Since we are the only people here, we can do whatever we want, and no one will disturb us." Celeste blushed and asked, "So, what do you want to do?"
Gary looked at how red Celeste's face was, he smiled even more wickedly. "My thoughts are always simple."
Celeste could understand what he meant from just a glance, and she smiled in an embarrassed way.
Gary lowered his head and kissed her lips. He said in a low voice, "Your shy face makes me want to do things."
Celeste was instantly speechless.
She nudged him and said, "Be serious."
Gary smiled as he asked, "How am I not serious?"
Celeste was stunned by the question. She saw that he seemed to have really changed ever since they went out to the sea. He seemed to have become much more relaxed. She did not know why he was so happy, but she heaved a sigh of relief seeing that.
Celeste looked at how gentle his smile was while Gary placed his arms around her shoulder. He said, "Are you hungry? I will bring you to a seafood feast."
"I am not hungry." Celeste shook her head. "It's not even time to eat yet."
They had just had breakfast not long ago. It was not even 11 o'clock, but Gary was already talking about lunch. Celeste was not hungry at all.
"Let's wait until lunch time then," Gary told her.
