"I'm fine." Gary shook his head and comforted her. "Mom already knows. She will just think that we want to spend some time on our own. She will not think too much about it." "Then, what if you are not feeling well? What if you suffer from alcohol poisoning?" Celeste was still greatly worried about his health. His health was her greatest worries. Gary was startled, and a gentle smile appeared in his eyes. "So, it seems like you still care a lot about me."

"Of course I care about you." Celeste could not help blushing slightly.

When she heard what he said, she felt a little embarrassed.

No matter what, he was the man she loved deeply.

The two of them had gone through so much together, their relationship had long deepened.

"Thank you." Gary thanked her sincerely, he felt a warm feeling in his heart.

He only hoped that he could replace out about the truth sooner.

When he thought of Janice's schemes, Gary could not help clenching his fists tightly as he held on to the spoon. His handsome face tensed up.

"Don't mention it." Celeste added more some food to his bowl. "If your stomach isn't in pain right now, just eat some food and see if your stomach could get used to it. If it doesn't hurt, then eat more. However, i it is not doing well, then we should head back immediately."

"It doesn't hurt as much after I ate the porridge just now." Gary shook his head slightly. His head still hurt a lot.

"Don't move," Celeste spoke at once, "Your head will only hurt more if you shake your head like this."

"I just want to see how much it hurts still." Gary smiled and put down his bowl.

At that moment, his phone suddenly rang.

Someone called Gary's phone.

Celeste looked at Gary. He only raised his eyebrows slightly, not showing much expressions.

Celeste picked up his phone and glanced at it. It was Lowell.

"The call is from Uncle Lowell. Do you want to answer it?" Celeste asked for his opinion.

"No," Gary said.

Celeste pursed her lips.

He could tell that she was a little worried.

Gary glanced at Celeste, he felt a little helpless. He let out a long sigh and said, "Why don't you hand me my phone then?"

Celeste immediately smiled and handed him his phone. "Just talk nicely. Uncle Lowell should be under huge pressure already."

There was no need for her to say that, Gary understood it clearly. He was well aware of Lowell's feelings for Janice. As Janice was on to something again then, Lowell of course would be under a lot of pressure.

Gary answered the call. He did not want to hide anything from Celeste, so he immediately turned on the loudspeaker. Lowell's worried and anxious voice could be heard from the other end. "Gary, I finally got through to you. What happened? Your phone was turned off."

Gary spoke on the phone, "Of course I turned off my phone, I didn't want to be disturbed by outsiders. It's clear that I don't want to answer any phone call." Lowell paused and said, "I know that you don't want to answer anyone's call now, but I need to talk to you." "It would be best if you don't look for me anymore," Gary spoke in a deep voice.

Upon hearing that, Lowell smiled bitterly and apologized, "I am sorry, Gary, I have troubled you."

"Forget it." Compared to Lowell's hesitating tone, Gary's voice was calm. "I know what's on your mind, but you don't have to blame yourself."

"Are you free to talk right now?" Lowell asked once more, as if he was afraid that Celeste might hear them. "Is Celeste around you? Can I tell you the news directly?"

"Of course I am free to talk, just speak." Gary ignored Lowell's question when he asked if Celeste was there.

Lowell thought that Celeste was not by his side, so he immediately let out a sigh of relief. "I thought I was going to die of anxiety. Does Celeste know about the matter? I think Janice may have used my phone to talk to Celeste. I did not know about it at that time, and I only found out about it afterwards."

Gary raised his eyebrows, he looked at Celeste.

Celeste looked back at Gary and pursed her lips.

"It seems like Yandrea has told you about that," Gary said.

"Yes, don't blame him. I have entrusted Yandrea to help me investigate Janice," Lowell spoke hurriedly, "He said that I had two calls with Celeste. However, I have only called Celeste once. Janice must've beer the other person who called her using my phone."

"You could just give your phone to her already, Lowell. I suspect that you did it on purpose." Even though Gary knew what had happened already, he was still angry as they talked about it then. He could not help but to shout at him, "Are you brainless? Can't you even guard your own phone?"

It was rare for Lowell to silently endure Gary's anger without saying anything else.

Gary hurriedly calmed down after shouting. There was no point in shouting at him or being angry at him anymore then.

He told Lowell, "All right, I know what's on your mind. You don't have to take it to heart."

"Gary, I'm indeed at fault here, you can blame me." Lowell blamed himself even more, and it could be heard from his tone.

Gary said, "I really should blame you. You'd better f*cking behave yourself and don't act rashly, dragging me down. I am just afraid that you would f*cking forget who you are when you meet a b*tch like Janice."

"I won't anymore," Lowell said in a deep voice. His tone was firm, almost without a trace of hesitation.

Anyone could tell that he had made up his mind to not ever pay any attention to a woman like Janice ever again.

"Forget it." Gary smiled sarcastically. "I don't know about you."

"Gary, what about you and Celeste?" Lowell sounded very anxious and worried. "Do you really want to be Janice's boyfriend in two months? You must not do that."

Gary retorted, "What can you do even if I don't want that?"

As he spoke, he looked towards Celeste.

She froze on the spot as well.

Lowell was stunned, he then said, "I'm the one who caused this trouble. If it really comes to that, I can help you end it all."

"Lowell, have you finally become a man of honor?" Gary said coldly. His eyes were filled with harshness, as if he was still very angry.

Celeste knew that Gary had a deep relationship with his uncle. After all, they have stayed in the United States together for so many years.

Moreover, they were about the same age, as Lowell was only three or four years older than him.

"Gary," Lowell said firmly, "I can't let you be schemed like this anymore." "Then tell me, what are you going to do? Are you going to hit Janice with your car again?" Gary could almost imagine what Lowell was going to do.

"It's none of your business. Besides, I can't let this woman affect your happiness with Celeste," Lowell said in a low voice. "I'm the one who caused this trouble. I should be the one to end it."

"Are you still trying to kill her?" Gary actually got angry. There was an indiscernible expression on his good-looking face.

He could guess that Lowell would turn to an extreme path.

Celeste's heart trembled, and for a moment, she felt a little scared.

"It's not impossible," Lowell said as he gritted his teeth.

Gary frowned, then he instantly felt goosebumps all over him. His head hurt again.

"Lowell." He also gritted his teeth while he said, "You really are something. Do you think you are noble just because you are going to sacrifice your great future for someone lowly like her?"

"Gary, I never thought that much," Lowell said softly, "If it really gets to that point, I will not hesitate."

"Forget it," Gary coldly said, "Behave yourself and don't cause any more troubles for me. I'll deal with her alone. I won't let her go so easily, but, Lowell, if you do something extreme again, I will never forgive you for the rest of my life."

That was a warning, but also his concern for Lowell.

Lowell did not respond.

"Did you hear me?" Gary roared again, he was getting furious.

Lowell paused before saying, "Gary, what about you and Celeste?"

"Celeste and I will be fine." Gary

looked into Celeste's eyes and said it slowly, "No matter what I do, I will always be with Celeste. Furthermore, I am now certain that nothing happened between me and Janice. As for the child, my guess is that it was part of Janice's schemes too."

"Are you for real?" Lowell almost could not believe his own ears. "Are you sure that nothing happened between the two of you?"

"I wasn't sure yesterday, but now I'm sure," Gary said with a serious tone.

"If that's the case, that's great." Lowell seemed to have been revived. "Then, let's replace the evidence to prove this at once. If you really didn't do anything with Janice, Celeste will surely not blame you."

"Do I need you to tell me that?" Gary coldly retorted.

"I will go back to Boston at once and investigate this matter," Lowell said.

"Forget it," Gary said, "Since you have

already returned, don't go back anymore. Running back and forth will only raise more suspicions.

Furthermore, you are not that efficient at all. If I were to let

t you

face Janice alone, she might use

you to cause trouble again."
