Celeste was growing nervous. If Heinz and Grace were starting to have doubts about the state of their relationship, it would be harder for them to keep this up.

If Heinz was not suspicious, why would he come upstairs but then not knock on their door? Why would he eavesdrop on them?

It wasn't logical.

Just now, Heinz must be too embarrassed to answer Gary's questions, so he had not said a word.

Just then, Gary smiled and said, "It's nothing. You don't have to worry. It's easy to go up against them. All we need is a little something."

Celeste frowned and asked, "What is it? What is this little something?"

He paused for a moment and hesitated as if he was worried about upsetting her.

Seeing him like that, she said grimly, "Just tell me." She would do anything to lessen Heinz and Grace's suspicion.

"Well." He cleared his throat and said in an awkward voice, "You might not be able to accept it because it isn't the best idea. But it is simple."

"Go on. Then I'll decide," Celeste said.

He nodded once and said, "All you have to do is let me kiss you. If they see that your lips are swollen when you go down, all of their doubts will dissipate. It's that simple and the only way to solve this problem." Hearing his suggestion, Celeste turned red.

Her face flushed and started burning in embarrassment.

Her head was hung low. It seemed like she had no other choice.

Gary smiled when he saw Celeste's expression. With an understanding tone of voice, he consoled her saying, "I know this isn't going to work. It's as if I am doing it intentionally to take advantage of you, but I don't mean it. If you refuse, we could just tell them we're fine."

She remained silent with her head low and her ears red.

It would make them seem intimate with each other, hence dissipating any doubt.s But then, it would only complicate things between them.

She was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

With that, she fell into a dilemma, not knowing what to do as she continued to stare at her toes.

Gary walked to his closet, not saying another word to Celeste.

He knew she would accept the proposal eventually as they had no other option.

He knew her too well after all.

Sure enough, she stopped him as he was about to head to the closet.

She said, "Okay. Let's go with your idea."

With his back facing her, he smiled.

He couldn't help but praise himself for knowing how to make her give in.

He would never let her know that there had been no one outside the door just now.

He would never tell anyone about that.

Gary stopped and turned his head to glance at Celeste.

"Alright. Should we wait? Or should we do it now?" he spoke gravely.

It was as if they were talking about a job or some other mundane task.

She didn't look back at him as she said carefully, "Get dressed first." "Okay." He nodded. "I'll be right back."

With that, she waited for him to come back fully clothed.

At this time, her heart was already in chaos.

Her hands were restless from the uneasiness.

She knew that they shouldn't be doing this, but she couldn't think of another solution.

Since they would still be living under the same roof, she had to endure some things. She sighed, thinking about the kindness the Jones family had shown her. She couldn't be an ungrateful person.

She had to persist so Grace wouldn't get upset and worried forthem during her pregnancy.

Celeste took a deep breath and waited for Gary to put on his clothes.

The man behind her was not anxious at all. He slowly took off his bath towel, wiped away the water from his body, and then picked up his clothes and putthem on. He moved very slowly, like a snail.

Meanwhile, she was losing her patience.

A few minutes later, he didn't tell her that he had finished putting on his clothes.

She couldn't help but ask, "Are you done? Why are you so slow?"

She remembered that Grace was waiting for them downstairs. She must be worried if they stayed there for too long.

It was rude to make their elders wait.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Gary

was calm as if nothing had

happened. He wasn't anxious at all. He teased her, "You can't wait for the kiss already?"

Celeste felt a buzzing in her head.

God knew that she didn't mean that.

But after hearing what the man said, she felt embarrassed.

From her point of view, he must have done it on purpose.

However, his tone was calm and serious as if he was not joking.

She could not help but turn around.

At a glance, Celeste saw Gary wearing only a pair of boxers as he wiped his body. Although it was now less awkward, it was still awkward.

She had to grudgingly admit that he had a great figure.

His muscles were bulging and well-defined.

He looked at her then said blandly, " don't like wearing clothes when I'm still wet. Could you wait for a minute? I don't mind you at

me

Novel.

Her cheeks burned hotter when she heard his words.

He made it sound like she wanted to look at him.

Just then, Celeste sat down, not moving her gaze away from Gary.

Since he asked her to look, she decided to grant his wish and look her fill.

He was shocked that she would look at him so blatantly. Although her face was red, she still stared straight at him.

Strange.

What was going on?

Was this a part of Celeste's plan?

Gary was taken aback even though he kept looking at her calmly.

She sat on the edge of the bed, slightly embarrassed, but she also summoned up the courage to look at him.

He sighed. It was his fault for pushing her to her limits. Now she even dared to stare at him although he was not fully clothed.

It seemed that there was still hope if they continued to live together.

He should continue putting on his clothes without batting an eyelid. Suddenly, he said to her, "Hand me my clothes."

She frowned. "Can't you do it yourself?"

His clothes were clearly within his reach. He could have done it himself.

"If I could, would I still need to ask for your help?" Gary asked.

Celeste was stunned speechless. But since they were going to commit to this act, she complied and got up to hand him his clothes.

She brought them over to him. He looked at her before changing into them.

Now that he was dressed, he prepared to go outside.

She was stunned for a moment.

Didn't they agree to put on an act for everyone?

Had he forgotten?

"Did you forget something?" Celeste said before he opened the door.

Gary raised his eyebrows and said, "No, I don't think so."

"Weren't you going to kiss me?" Seeing that he was about to leave, she cried out anxiously.

He closed the door, turned around,

and looked at her before saying, was afraid you would say that was taking advantage of you. So didn't bring it up."
