True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 2084 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 859)
Celeste did not bring her mobile phone, she left it in the house. She didn't take the time to get a new one either.
It did not matter whether she had a phone or not anymore.
When she arrived at Esote City, she went to replace a place to stay first. After that, she went out to eat.
As she was eating in the restaurant, she saw a press conference from the Jones Estate on the news.
When she saw Gary on the screen, her eyes narrowed.
She stared at him in a daze. When she heard him say that his girlfriend will always be Celeste, her heart tightened in immense pain.
She had already left, yet he still said those words.
Celeste felt that she had let Gary down.
Even though she knew that Gary was not the most outrageous one, she still minded it a lot.
Because she cared too much about it, Celeste gradually lost herself. She felt ashamed and thought that she was not worthy of his love at all.
When she saw this unexpected press conference, Janice being besieged by the reporters, as well as Gary and Lowell's words, she felt a strong and complicated feeling in her heart.
Janice appeared on camera with a lot of injuries. She was even being blamed for causing her own problems.
However, in the end, no one could prove that nothing happened between Gary and Janice, right?
Celeste felt that this press conference did not really address the real problem.
There was no way to prove their relationship.
She smiled bitterly and ate her food quietly.
When she finished eating, she went back to her homestay to sleep.
She had not thought about how to start anew, what else could she do?
She just felt tired, she had no strength left. She felt extremely sleepy and hungry. She had just eaten, but she was already hungry. She did not know what was going on at all. Celeste thought that it was because she had not eaten anything ever since she left The Jones family, which was why she was still hungry.
She slept for a few hours, but she still got hungry in the middle of the night.
Celeste got up and made herself a bowl of instant noodles. She was so hungry that she could not stand it. By the time she finished eating the noodles, she was satisfied. As of now, she did not want to think about anything. All she wanted to do was empty every thought she had in her mind and relax for a few days without any pressure. However, there was no way for her to truly quiet down. She wondered if Aunt Smith would be affected since she left so abruptly.
If Aunt Smith's health was affected, she would feel guilty for the rest of her life.
The Jones family.
At 10:30 p.m.
Gary finally returned home.
Grace had not slept yet, as she was very concerned about what happened at the press conference.
Sebastian knew about the press conference too. When he came back and noticed that his mother had not slept yet, he accompanied her to wait for his brother, father, and uncle to come back. After waiting a long while, they finally came back.
When Sebastian saw Gary entering the room with his father and uncle, he heaved a sigh of relief.
"Dad, Mom, Uncle Lowell, Gary, I am going upstairs." Sebastian looked at his father and said deliberately, "Dad, take care of Mom."
"Go ahead." Heinz walked to his wife and said in a soft voice, "It's so late already. You should go upstairs and sleep."
"How could I fall asleep when you haven't come back?" Grace asked, "Where is Janice? Does she want to continue causing trouble?" "She is being besieged by reporters. I think she will be taught a lesson this time." Heinz said, "She can't prove herself at all."
"What about Celeste?" Grace looked at her husband again. "Where is Celeste right now? How is she?"
Gary's body stiffened at once when Celeste was mentioned.
He looked towards his father.
When Heinz saw his son's look, he said with a smile, "Celeste is much stronger than you think. I heard that she found a place to stay in Esote City and had dinner there. When she was having dinner, she happened to see the press conference too."
Gary's body turned even stiffer, and his handsome
face darkened.
Grace heaved a sigh of relief and said, "That's great. It's great if she could eat well and not feel any sense of grievance. That is how it should be."
"She won't feel wronged." Heinz said, "You should go upstairs and est now. For the sake of our children, you should go to sleep."
Grace nodded and said, "Okay, I am going upstairs now. Lowell, you should rest too."
Grace said goodnight to Lowell, completely ignoring Gary. It seemed like she was angry with her son.
Gary watched his mother walk upstairs with his father's help. She never even bothered to look at him.
After that, only Lowell and Gary were left in the hall downstairs.
The large living room was completely quiet.
Lowell walked over and said to Gary apologetically, "Gary, why don't you go and replace Celeste?"
Lowell still felt very guilty. If Celeste broke up with Gary because of this matter, he would never forgive himself.
Gary glanced at Lowell, he shook his head.
He thought about looking for Celeste too.
However, he was too ashamed to do it.
At first, when his uncle-in-law was helping Celeste in Jenevo City, he wanted to go too, in the hopes of getting Celeste back.
However, his father said that she went to Esote City, getting off the train midway.
Gary knew that Celeste was determined to hide from him this time.
She did not want him to know of her whereabouts.
She really wanted to break up.
If he continued to pursue her, that might only make her even more upset.
He could not let her feel that way. If he continued being such a heavy burden to her, wouldn't that hurt her even more?
Gary shook his head and spoke, "Celeste wants to break up, I can only respect her choice."
"But, it took great effort for the two of you to eliminate all the risks in order to be together." Lowell felt that it was a great pity.
"How many couples are able to walk through so many difficulties and still fail to be together in the end?" Gary asked calmly as if he had thought it through.Lowell, you don't have to persuade me anymore, nor do you have to blame yourself for this. Even though I was mad at you and scolded you, this still doesn't have anything to do with you. To put it bluntly, I was not smart enough, and
I was not decisive enough."
Lowell was stunned, he quickly shook his head. "I am responsible for this. If I had never known Janice, you and Celeste would never have fallen to such a state."
"Even if Janice did not exist, there would still be Sophia and Amy," Gary mocked himself. "This is all my fault, it does not have anything to do with you. You don't have to blame yourself. You should rest. Goodnight."
After that, Gary went upstairs. Lowell was the only one left in the hall. As he stared at Gary's figure blankly, deep regret flashed in his eyes.
The more Gary comforted him, the more guilty Lowell felt.
He also knew that even though Janice was being surrounded by the reporters, there was no way for him to prove that nothing went on between him and Janice. Where did her child come from?
This was the most crucial point. Even if Celeste saw the press conference, she could not completely erase their misunderstandings.
But what was he supposed to do? Was he supposed to watch these two lovers break up just like that?
No.
Lowell could not accept such an ending.
When he returned to his room, Lowell continued to think about it over and over again, he thought that this would not be over.
He picked up his phone and gave Yandrea a call.
"Yandrea, have you seen what Janice said?" Lowell asked at once.
"I have," Yandrea said, "Good job, Lowell. I did not expect you to be so helpful this time. Your words were enough to upset Janice for quite a while."
Lowell's tone was still heavy as he said, "But Gary and Celeste have already broken up. Celeste has now run away from home. From the looks of it, the two of them have long decided to break up."
"Oh, it seems that Celeste has
already known about these things.
No! Janice must've called her to inform her of this matter." Yandrea
thought for a moment and said, "With my knowledge of Celeste, this way of doing things is very much her style."
"Can you think of a way to help get them back together? Let's see if we can make things right." Lowell was anxious.
"Lowell, I think there is no need for you to feel worried or guilty. They are adults, they will think it through eventually. I do not think that bringing them together is something that we should do." "You should know, I feel very guilty," Lowell said.
"There is no need for you to feel guilty. This does not have anything to do with you. Janice is an adult as well. We can't interfere in the actions of another adult."
"I understand what you mean, but I was still the one who introduced Janice to Gary." That was Lowell's sore point.
"So what?" Yandrea said, "Lowell, you should be glad that you've left a woman like Janice. My stupid brother still hasn't walked out of his mess yet."
When he thought of Xyrion, Lowell was stunned too.
Yandrea said, "How about this, go and see my younger brother. Both of you are friends with Janice. Maybe he can tell you the secret about Janice's pregnancy, or how she got pregnant. I think my younger brother would know about it."
"If you start your investigations from my brother, it might be a good thing for Gary and Celeste."
"Is your brother back?" Lowell asked.
"He's back," Yandrea said. "Gary's men detained him. My dad found him, and he was sent to the hotel by your brother. You can look for him there. I will send you his address."
"Okay."
