True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 2101
Without even sparing Claudia a glance, Sebastian was about to leave with Ernest.
Claudia stepped forward and blocked his way with a smile on her face. "Where do you think you're going? I was no match for your brother, but it doesn't mean I'm no match for you." He frowned. "That's not necessarily true."
"Is that so?" Her eyes lit up as she looked him up and down. "Does that mean you're good at fighting too?"
She was shorter than him, so he lowered his head to look at her and said curtly, "Step aside."
"No way. We haven't gotten to know each other." She smiled.
"I have nothing to talk to you about," Sebastian replied.
"Well, I do. I already gave you what you wanted to know and answered all your questions. Shouldn't you answer some of mine too?"
No matter what he said, she had no intention of stepping aside.
If Sebastian went left, Claudia would too, and vice
versa.
Judging from the looks of it, there was no way she would give in.
His patience was wearing thin, but he did not show his agitation on his face. Instead, he said calmly, "What do you want?"
"You..." Here, she deliberately paused before continuing her sentence. "Do you have any guesses?"
She was definitely doing it on purpose.
However, Sebastian was not amused. He gazed at her coldly.
She smiled even more brightly, saying, "Come on, it's a joke. Don't get mad."
"What exactly do you want?" he asked again, a look of displeasure evident in his eyes.
"I want to know how you came to be so good at reading others at such a young age?" Claudia asked.
"It's an innate talent," Sebastian answered simply.
Claudia chuckled and nodded. "I know that it isn't something one can learn. Don't you replace it interesting to have such an ability?"
"Not really," Sebastian replied indifferently.
"Well, I do. Don't you want to make use of your talents?" She arched her eyebrows, her eyes were
shining as if she was up to something.
"No, I don't." His attitude was resolute. He shook his head, showing he had no interest.
"Don't rush to make the decision now. You should keep your options open."
"No, I believe in my choice." Sebastian was adamant.
"I think you should think it through. I know how you can make good use of it. And if you refuse me now, I'll just continue bugging you." Claudia sounded like she was threatening him. He glanced at her and said, "You've been bugging me since the beginning."
"Hey!" she growled. "I'm not that annoying, okay?"
"You're just too stubborn to admit it," he retorted.
"You brat, can you not mock me over and over again? Are you looking down on me?" She did not believe that she would not be able to convince him.
"That's not exactly true. It's just that you're not worth my respect," Sebastian replied.
Furious, Claudia snorted. "Let's make a deal. If you take up my offer, I'll help your sister pursue Kendrix."
"She doesn't need your help," he said, his tone cold and arrogant. "Even if she needs your help, it
wouldn't be for long. There are some things she has to do herself."
"You're just a young lad, so how could you possibly understand such things?"
He merely shrugged and said, "I just do, so stop wasting your breath."
"What if I refuse?" she asked.
Sebastian was taken aback. His icy gaze swept across Claudia's face. "Give it your best shot then."
"I will. Right now," she replied. Then, she placed her arm around his shoulder.
Sebastian frowned. He disliked people taking advantage of him.
How could Claudia be so bold? Sebastian wondered.
He grabbed her wrist, stepped back, and pulled her arm.
Claudia was shocked. He had almost thrown her over his shoulder.
"Impressive," she said with a smile. "I never expected the three of you to be so skilled at fighting."
After shaking her off, Sebastian walked away without looking back.
"You can't go," Claudia called out, sounding a little anxious as she caught up to Sebastian. "I'm serious. You can join the police force in the future." Sebastian ignored her and continued taking long strides.
Claudia chased after Sebastian. Just then, someone appeared in front of Sebastian. He stopped, and Claudia bumped into him.
"Mr. Trevino," said Sebastian.
"Sebastian," Kendrix said coolly.
"Goodbye." Sebastian did not want to say anything else.
Kendrix nodded and said nothing more too.
"Kendrix, don't let him go!" Claudia shouted.
Kendrix frowned and glanced at her as she ran up to him in the dark. It was clear that he was displeased.
Sebastian smiled. He had not
wanted to say anything, but he
suddenly changed his mind. "Mr.
Trevino, you've put on quite a show.
You even asked your cousin to act as your fiancee and girlfriend, I never
expected you to do something so childish."
It seemed that Claudia had
disclosed their secret. Kendrix knew that he should not have trusted Claudia with it. However, he did not expect that she would expose their relationship that quickly.
The moment Sebastian stopped, Claudia ran up with him. She grabbed Kendrix and said anxiously, "Cousin, I think he has potential."
Kendrix glanced at Claudia coldly. "What did you call me?"
"Cousin." The moment Claudia answered him, she lowered her head. She had exposed Kendrix's secret.
But then, Claudia raised her head
and said, "They were going to replace out sooner or later, so why continue to lie? They're right. You should be happy that such a lovely girl has feelings for you. And I am indeed your cousin. I'm not your girlfriend or fiancee. You'll only make them hate me, and I don't want any enemies."
