True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 2222
Sylvia was shocked and didn't dare to look into his eyes. She averted her gaze from him as she lowered her head and muttered, "We've reached now, I should go in first." "Okay," Kendrix replied as he nodded, "Go on."
She was a little reluctant to leave just like this. She looked at Kendrix, not wanting to leave him yet.
Kendrix met Sylvia's gaze. He looked so calm and so focused, as if she was the only one he saw.
She was the only one who was meant for him.
No matter how beautiful the scenery in the world was, nothing could be compared to the delicate and lovely little girl in front of him.
Sylvia was the only one he could ever fall for, and he would give her his love, kindness and passion.
"Go on," Kendrix finally said.
He scanned Sylvia from head to toe several times, greedily wanting to remember every single detail of her.
Sylvia nodded. She grabbed the food and got out of the car.
Kendrix didn't get out. He had already noticed the sheer number of security cameras around the Jones family's villa.
The little girl got out of the car. After turning around and waving at him, she trudged towards the door reluctantly.
Kendrix's eyes were fixed on her back. He refused to walk away and even blink. He just kept looking at the door of the villa.
Even until she disappeared into the house, he kept his gaze fixed in her direction. Then, he saw her turning around and looking back at his car.
His eyes narrowed while he was in the car, and eventually, he drove away.
Kendrix knew that he shouldn't be parking too long in front of someone else's place.
Seeing as Kendrix drove away, Sylvia was unwilling to see him go. She waited only until the car completely left her sight before finally heading back inside.
As soon as she entered the house, she saw her parents still eating in the dining room. She looked at her watch. It was past one o'clock, and her parents were still having lunch.
Sylvia felt her heart skipping a beat as she passed the food containers to the butler. She then ran towards the dining tall to greet her parents, "Hey dad, hey mom! Why are the both of you still eating lunch at this hour? Did you two have a late lunch today?"
Heinz glanced at his daughter sharply. He sized her up for a long time before saying, "Your mother said that you will be coming back in the evening. Why are you home so early?"
Grace added in surprise, "Right. Didn't you tell me that you will be back only at night? Why are you here so early?"
Seeing the surprised look on her mother's face, Sylvia knew that Grace somehow didn't expect her to come back so early.
However, it was Kendrix who wanted her to come back home in the first place. Grace too was aware that Sylvia was at Kendrix's place.
It was just that she wasn't sure whether or not her father knew about it. Sylvia didn't really want to say too much in front of her father.
She knew very well how much her father loved her, and how he protected her very well. She thought that he would want to get involved in her relationship if he found out.
She didn't want to cause trouble for herself.
More importantly, Sylvia didn't want to cause any trouble for Kendrix. She just wanted everyone to be happy.
"My friend said that I should come back and accompany you since you're home alone," Sylvia smiled as she replied to her mother.
"Your friend?" Heinz frowned, a deep glint flashing in his eyes as he speculated, "Is it Mr. Trevino? Or is it Mr. Trevino's cousin?" Hearing this, Sylvia's expression froze. She looked at her father and immediately turned her eyes to her mother with a look of inquiry. She wanted to know if her father knew anything.
Grace said calmly right at that moment, "Heinz, why are you asking so much? It's a lovely thing that Sylvia's friend actually cared about me and would even ask her to come back to accompany me. This means that this friend of hers is very considerate. It's lucky for Sylvia to have such a friend."
When Sylvia heard this, she immediately nodded furiously and went along, "Of course, I think I have met a really great friend! I have learnt a lot from this friend of mine. Don't you two think that I've improved a lot recently?"
Heinz looked at his daughter carefully and nodded slowly as he thought about the recent situation. He muttered, "You've indeed made great progress, and you are more mature and calm now. You're not as careless as before, and you are more ladylike now."
"As you can see, this is because she has met a great friend," Grace smiled and changed the topic seamlessly, "Sylvia, have you had your lunch?"
"Yes," Sylvia wasn't hungry at all because by the time she ate with Kendrix, it was already close to noon.
Kendrix made her eat a lot, so she wasn't feeling hungry at all.
"Dad, mom, I'm going upstairs to study first," Sylvia said obediently, "Mom, if you need me to accompany you, you can just call me anytime."
"You should go ahead and study," Grace chuckled, "School's starting soon, and you should be prepared. You should finish all your homework, stop playing too much, and prepare to go back to school." "Okay, I got it," Sylvia nodded even more obediently and went upstairs.
After his daughter left, Heinz sighed, "I'm feeling a little uncomfortable at the fact that she has suddenly become so obedient."
"Haven't you always hoped that she
could be more like a lady?" Grace looked at her husband helplessly, "What's wrong? Isn't Sylvia doing well right now?" "Of course she's doing great now. But I just feel uneasy at the thought that she's

Heinz
was totally honest with Grace, "Is
this what they call the power of
love?"
Grace was stunned. She did not expect that her husband would already figure out that Sylvia was in love and not get angry at that revelation.
She looked at her husband tentatively and asked, "If so, are you not against Sylvia being in a relationship at such a young age?"
"It seems that there is no use for me to be against it, am I right?" Heinz smiled smugly, "I can restrict her personal freedom, but I cannot possibly control her thoughts. I have no power at all to control whatever is going on in her mind or however she feels."
Well, it was definitely much better than what Grace had expected.
Heinz was much more open-minded than she thought he was.
Grace smiled and looked at the lonely look on her husband's face. She reached out and held his hand tightly, gently patting his hand before squeezing it as a sign of assurance.
Heinz was dumbfounded momentarily as he looked up to meet his wife's gentle gaze.
"Heinz, our children have grown up and will eventually leave us," Grace said softly, "But I will always accompany you. You still have me by your side."
Heinz also smiled tenderly, "I know. Fortunately, I have you with me."
He held on to his wife's hand and wrapped it tightly.
"You don't only have me. You will also have these two babies with you," Heinz added as he gazed at Grace's stomach. Her baby bump was already quite large, and her delivery was expected in around a few months.
Two new lives would be added to their family.
Heinz was going to be a father to two more adorable babies. He was of old age, so he cherished the feeling of being able to be a father even more.
He thought that he would probably be even more tolerant than before, and it was likely that he would dote on the two babies even more.
As for his daughter's feelings, he was very clear that this was not something he could control. Since he could not interfere, he might as well just pretend not to know.
He had also investigated Kendrix's background. Kendrix had no bad habits, possessed many outstanding achievements in his field and had been very famous since a young age.
It could be said that he was a rare talent to replace.
In fact, it was not so important whether Kendrix was talented or not. The most important thing was whether he could gain Sylvia's favour, and whether he could be loyal and take care of Sylvia well. But now, Heinz had a feeling that his daughter's changes were because of this man.
In this case, even if he was particularly jealous, he could only quietly accept it.
Grace looked at her husband and decided not to hide anything from him. She decided to tell him everything that had happened that day. With that, she suggested, "Heinz, let's go back to our room. I have something to tell you."
Heinz was still a little worried seeing as his wife wasn't eating much, "Are you sure? You haven't eaten much. You'll feel hungry later."
"Then I'll just eat later. I am a little full now. My stomach is getting bigger and bigger, and I feel slightly bloated. Because of that, I feel quite full even though I don't eat a lot," Grace was indeed feeling different now, and she couldn't eat as much as before.
Since her belly was growing, she could only eat less while having more meals in between.
If she didn't eat, her blood pressure might get too low and cause her to feel dizzy. On the other hand, if she ate too much, she would feel bloated and uncomfortable.
Pregnancy was really exhausting.
It was much more exhausting than the previous two times.
She had to suffer a lot as she had gotten pregnant at an old age, but since it had already happened, she could only accept it with joy.
"Okay then, let's go back to the room," Heinz helped his wife go back to the room on the second floor.
After entering the room, Grace
closed the door and started, "In fact,
it's as you have guessed. Before the sun rose this morning, Sylvia asked the kitchen staff to prepare some food to bring over to Kendrix's place. And from what I know, she probably was with him since morning."
"I know," Heinz nodded.
He had already guessed that.
When he saw his wife covering up for his daughter, he felt somewhat uncomfortable.
But now, since his wife was telling him everything, all the discomfort in his heart disappeared.
Grace continued, "Also, I called
Sylvia to test her a while ago. I
wanted to confirm when she was coming back, and whether she was
alone with Kendrix or not. Then, found out that she was alone with him. She was quite determined at first and even said that she will be coming back only in the evening. I didn't expect that she would be back so early. I suppose that it was Kendrix's idea. Kendrix is indeed quite a decent man."
