True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 288
When Grace heard that Heinz was coming, she immediately got up and was ready to leave. It had never occurred to her that Heinz would be appearing here and she didn't want to see him. "Grace, give me half an hour. Wait for me in the staff lounge. Let's have dinner together later,"1 Tyler said.
Before she could say anything, Tyler grabbed her wrist and led her into a small room next to the reception room.
There were two sofas in the room. Between the sofas was a small tea table.
"I'm sorry, Grace. Just stay here and wait for me, okay?" Tyler lowered his voice and said.
Grace nodded and said, "Okay. Promise me then. Cover for me."
"Of course," Tyler nodded seriously. "Don't worry. Anything that you need help with, I'll take it seriously."
"Your assurance put me at ease," Grace smiled.
Tyler returned her smile, turned around, and went out.
When Heinz heard Grace's voice, he rushed into the room.
He caught sight of Grace being pulled into a room by a tall man. She did not struggle nor refuse.
Heinz couldn't help but pursed his thin lips. He
clenched his fists as if he wanted to grasp something, only to realize the thing had flown away.
His expression darkened.
Lester was also puzzled when he heard Grace's voice. Why was she there?
From the looks of it, the relationship between Grace and Tyler was anything but ordinary.
Otherwise, she would not have entered the small room inside.
Seeing that Heinz's face had turned pale, he felt sorry for him.
Heinz was still standing at the door and didn't move an inch. He stared at the man who came out of the small room sharply. His gaze was domineering and gloomy. Lester immediately reminded Heinz with a whisper, "President!"
Heinz was startled for a moment. Then he finally came to his senses.
Heinz's gaze was still fixed at Tyler.
The two egually tall men looked at each other.
Heinz's eyes were gloomy, and there was a hint of worry that he couldn't even perceive in his eyes. However, his tightly pursed lips and wrinkled brows revealed his emotions.
Tyler was a tall man. He was over 1.85 meters tall, just like Heinz. Just by standing next to each other and being silent, these men could put an intangible pressure on the people around them. Heinz looked at Tyler. He had heard that Tyler came from Wall Street and was famously known as the Demon Trader. Later, he joined Wilson Group and was in charge of affairs in the States. He finally got to meet the reputable man in person. It had never dawned to him that he was so good looking.
Tyler had handsome facial features. Sharp jawline, dazzling eyes, dashing eyebrows, firm nose, and a thin mouth. He looked perfect.
And he seemed to be very close to Grace.
This made Heinz feel that there was something unusual.
Heinz's constant glance at the room had attracted Tyler's attention.
He had been watching Heinz for a long time. He realized that since Heinz entered the room, he had not said a single word and had been studying him intensely. Heinz was looking at the room again.
An enigmatic smile appeared on Tyler's face. He said, "Mr. Jones, sorry that I didn't greet you at the door. Please take a seat."
Heinz gave him a smile. But the smile did not make his expression look any softer.
Heinz said, "I've heard of you for a long time. It's a great honor to finally meet you today."
"You're too welcome, Mr. Jones." Tyler said, "Don't be so courteous. Have a seat."
Heinz nodded slightly and said, "Sure."
They sat down across each other.
Tyler glanced at Heinz and suddenly said, "Hold on, Mr. Jones. Let me ask my best friend to make us some coffee."
Then, he stood up and headed to the staff lounge.
Heinz rested his hand on the armrest of the sofa. He was quiet and clenched his fists.
Best friend?
He didn't even know that Grace knew Tyler.
And they happened to be such good friends.
Heinz's eyes became cold again. He stared at Tyler's back as he approached the room. Tyler said to the person inside the room with a sweet voice, "Grace, could you please make us some coffee?"
Grace had heard the conversation between Tyler and Heinz. Feeling agitated, she rolled her eyes and said to Tyler, "How could you do that?"
"I miss the coffee that you make," Tyler said while smiling. "I've been drinking coffee that tastes like cat urine for the past few months. Hurry up and make me a nice cup of coffee."
"Have you ever drunk cat urine?" Grace couldn't help but be sarcastic.
"Well, no." Tyler looked at Grace and said, "So can you do it?"
Grace nodded and stood up. "Fine. But you have to pick it up yourself later. I won't bring it to you."
"Please don't deliver it to me," he said. "I have guests, please save some face for me, okay?"
Knowing that the person outside was Heinz, she frowned and did not make a sound.
"Grace?" Seeing that she was ignoring him, he said, "I'll take you to a place later that I've promised you before." Grace lifted her head and looked into his eyes. She was a little surprised and said, "You finally remember it."
"I've never forgotten it." Tyler gazed at her with deep eyes and said seriously, "I've always kept you in mind." Grace pursed her lips and said, "Go now. He's still waiting for you. I'll make it for you right now." "That's great. Thank you," Tyler said as he bowed to her.
Grace didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
When Tyler returned to the sofa, Heinz was staring at him with a poker face.
Tyler was taken aback. But he smiled slightly and didn't explain. "Let's start, Mr. Jones."
Heinz and Lester were both left dazed.
Heinz looked upset and was filled with mixed emotions.
Judging from the way Tyler had been talking to Grace, there was definitely something between them.
The more he listened to their conversation, the more agitated he became.
The warmth on his face had faded away and his eyes were glittering with anger.
Heinz's gaze swept over Tyler and locked at the staff lounge. He curled his lips and said coldly, "Mr. Henley, are you keeping a beauty there? And she's also a barista?"
