True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 315
Heinz pursed his lips and frowned slightly as he said, "Okay, I'll give you evidence. If the child is my biological son, I'll never pester you again. If the child is not mine, you have to come back to me and let's raise this child who has been abandoned since birth."
Grace looked at Heinz. She had given up her hopes.
It was quite impossible for Ernest to not be Heinz's son with such a close resemblance between them.
What he said was nothing more than an excuse.
Grace threatened in a cold voice, "Whatever. You'd better keep your words or you'll be sorry."
"Okay, I'll bear the consequences," he promised.
Grace felt a little uncomfortable. She tried hard to suppress the despair in her heart and said, "I want to go back. I don't want to see you anymore."
Heinz frowned. After staring at her for a long while, he piped out, "Okay, I'll send you home."
"I don't need you to send me," Grace declined his offer.
Grace picked up her handbag and walked out.
Heinz grabbed his clothes, put them on, and quickly followed after her.
When he got downstairs, he compromised and said to Grace, "Alright, since you don't want me to send you. I won't. I'll ask the butler to send you home, okay?" Grace ignored him and continued to make her way out.
Heinz was so anxious that he seized Grace's wrist again and snapped, "It's getting very late now, it's not safe in the mountain. You can't leave like this."
Grace sneered, "Heinz, you're the most arrogant man I've ever met. Do you even know how many women you have harassed in your life?"
Heinz was dumbfounded upon hearing this. He stared at her in utter shock.
Grace was shooting daggers at him and accused, "I'm afraid there are not only your so-called girlfriends and me. How many women have you touched? Ernest is the best evidence. It's shameful for you to even quibble."
Heinz's eyes darkened.
He didn't talk back, and Grace knew that what she had said was right.
He was indeed not magnanimous enough.
Heinz remembered that accident. On that unforgettable night, an innocent girl had hooked up with him and ignited his passion.
However, after so many years, he just regarded the incident as a dream and shoved it to the back of his mind.
Because he couldn't replace her.
He didn't want to disturb that girl either.
Therefore, he didn't want to mention what had happened that night. However, he felt helpless when Grace had misunderstood him, and he couldn't explain it to her either.
Grace had already mentally prepared for this. Nonetheless, as he remained silent, she could still feel a sharp pain in her heart.
Heinz glanced at Grace quietly. His hand was still holding her wrist, and there was a glimpse of helplessness in his eyes.
He asked, "Grace, is there truly not a single shred of trust between us?"
"Don't change the subject," Grace snapped. "Why don't you answer my question directly? Is it difficult to answer it?"
"I admit that I had other women," he had no choice but to tell the truth. He added, "But those were the past. I don't want to bring the past up anymore."
Grace was stunned, a trace of sadness flashed in her eyes.
She scoffed, "You finally admitted it. If you were not exposed, would you have admitted it?"
"Grace, you can't say that. I'm not that shameless," Heinz defended himself.
"Then, how shameless do you want to be?" Grace interrupted Heinz's words and continued, "You know this yourself, and I don't want to say anything anymore." She shook off his hand again, with tears rolling in her eyes.
"Grace," Heinz didn't let go of her.
Grace could not break free.
"Butler," Heinz roared. "Prepare the car."
He could see that Grace was really not in an appropriate mood to talk about it. The existence of Ernest must have hurt her.
He also noticed that at first, Grace had wavered. However, because of Ernest, she decided to break up with him again.
It made Heinz feel helpless.
But he was quite confident about Ernest being his adopted child.
Heinz lowered his head and glanced at her, then said gently, "Grace, I know it's difficult for you to accept it. Ernest is really not my son. I'll get someone to do the test and prove it to you. I'll ask the butler to send you home now. Please stay calm."
Grace calmed down a little after hearing his words, but her heart was still in pain. She smiled bitterly and agreed, "Okay."
The butler went to prepare the car immediately.
The butler was still puzzled. What was going on? They said that they were having dinner, so the meal was prepared for them. In the end, the food was left untouched. Grace was being carried into the villa by Heinz earlier, but right now Heinz was requesting for Grace to be sent home. They hadn't even had dinner yet.
This was how they treated each other, how silly. He really wanted to beat some senses into them so badly.
Then, the butler drove the car to the gate of the villa and stopped at the front. He got out of the car and opened the car door.
Heinz ordered in a low voice, "Just take her to the Emerald Apartment and don't bother about the rest."
"Understood," the butler nodded.
Grace got into the car.
Heinz reminded her, "Grace, I'll say it again. Ernest's not my son. Do you hear me?"
Grace looked up to see the butler looking at Heinz in surprise as he asked, "Young Master is not your son?"
As soon as the butler said this, Heinz immediately glowered at him, and there was a trace of warning in his eyes.
The butler quickly lowered his head, got into the driver's seat, and was ready to drive.
Grace turned to look at Heinz when she heard the butler's questioning and she caught Heinz shooting a dagger look at the butler.
She stared at Heinz.
Heinz turned his head and found Grace staring at him in the car. From her cold expression, he knew that she had misunderstood him.
Not many knew about Ernest's background, even the butlers weren't so clear about it.
Since he had adopted Ernest, it was only natural for him to keep the news from them.
He hoped that Ernest would grow up healthily, without learning that he was not Heinz's biological son.
Heinz felt that he could do the DNA test for Grace. After all, there was nothing to worry about.
'Til give you the test result," he reassured her.
Grace stated indifferently, "Before you do, please don't disturb me."
She had already a verdict on this matter mentally.
"Okay," Heinz nodded. He closed the car door and reminded the butler again, "Be careful on the road."
"Yes," the butler said. Then, he drove out and sent Grace home.
Heinz stood at the spot. His tall figure looked even more lonely underneath the street lamps.
He sighed as he fished out his phone and checked on it. He saw that there was a call from Ernest, and the call duration was 1 minute and 32 seconds.
Grace had answered the phone.
He understood now.
Holding the phone in his hand, he dialed Ernest's number.
After the phone was connected, Ernest picked it up and said in a well-behaved voice, "Dad, I think I am in trouble."
Hearing that, Heinz softened his voice and asked, "Ernest, what's the matter?"
Ernest replied, "I called you, and Aunt Grace picked it up."
"Do you know her?" asked Heinz.
"Yes, she is my classmate Gary's mom. I like her very much. Dad, are you dating Aunt Grace?" Ernest
asked in a soft voice.
