Grace was stunned by his question. Indeed, she had wanted to look for him again due to her pregnancy.

However-

She wasn't in the mood to complain about it now. Perhaps it was time for her to face it.

Grace looked up at Heinz and said, "Because I was pregnant."

Heinz's gaze tightened as an intense emotion flashed across his eyes.

Nonetheless, after that, there was a deep silence in the tent.

When Grace saw him acting so calmly, it was as if she realized something. She widened her eyes and asked, "Did you know about that?"

Heinz didn't want to hide anything from her, so he answered, "I found out this morning."

Although Grace was mentally prepared for this talk, her heart couldn't help but skip a beat, "How did you know?"

Heinz stared at her with a more intense gaze.

Before he could speak, Grace asked again, "Did Jensen tell you?"

Heinz was stunned and asked her back in surprise, "Jensen knew about this too?"

The next moment, something suddenly came to Heinz's mind. No wonder Jensen had asked him to go to Grace's house to visit the child. It turned out that he had known it. Thinking about it, Heinz felt like he truly was a fool. How could he not go and take a look at the child? At this moment, he wanted to blame himself for being stupid.

If he had met the child a little earlier, maybe they would have been together as a family a long time ago.

Grace looked very surprised and then fell back into her thoughts, wondering, "Looks like it wasn't Jensen who told Heinz."

If that was the case, who did?

"How did you know that?" Grace grabbed his suit and probed.

Heinz suddenly came to his senses and looked at her. When he saw her grabbing his sleeves, his eyes fell on her petite hand.

Grace realized that her action was inappropriate and quickly withdrew her hand.

But Heinz reached out, grabbing her hand and answered, "Grace, someone hacked into the website of our company and posted unpleasant things on it early in the morning today. When the Public Relations Department and Lester went to investigate further about the matter, they found out about Little Gary. Then, my men went to his kindergarten and brought him to the company. When I saw the child who looked just like me, I was sure that he was our child."

Hearing this, Grace's heartbeat rose up madly again. She was so baffled and tongue-tied that she couldn't calm down even after a heavy pause.

Looking at Heinz, she didn't know what to say for a long while.

Heinz saw that she was surprised, so he chuckled and said, "Grace, thank you for giving birth such a good son for me. That little guy scolded me in my company several times this morning, and I couldn't even say a word."

Grace was still speechless.

"This child couldn't bear to see that you were bullied by me, so he went to vent his anger on me in person to defend you. He is a filial child," Heinz continued and laughed with the pride of a father. Grace took a deep breath and finally spoke, "You said that Little Gary posted something unpleasant on your company's website."

"Yes," Heinz gave a wry smile and said, "He even sent me an email a few days ago and made fun of me."

Grace was surprised yet again.

Heinz then took out his phone, pulled up the email and showed it to her.

Seeing the wordings on it, Grace could no longer remain calm.

She didn't expect that Little Gary had contacted Heinz behind her back.

For a moment, she found it hard to accept.

"Why is he so smart?" Grace asked in disbelief.

Heinz's eyes fell on his phone as he chuckled lowly, "Yes, he is indeed smart. With his ability, it's not surprising that he can learn these skills. Moreover, he also has a wide range of vocabulary and a mouth so unmerciful."

Though Heinz was complaining, he was very happy.

In any case, this was his son, his own flesh and blood.

Grace was completely puzzled.

She suddenly remembered that Little Gary had been very secretive these days. When she got up in the morning, she would see that the light of his room was still on. It turned out that he was doing such a thing.

It dawned on her that Little Gary wanted to acknowledge Heinz as his father.

She had completely underestimated Gary's desire for a father's love.

There were no children who didn't want to be in a warm and happy family.

Her son was no exception.

Grace felt even more sorry for the child when she returned the phone to Heinz. She covered her face with her hands, feeling a little helpless.

She didn't know what she should do.

Rationally speaking, she thought that it was really not suitable for her to spend the rest of her life with Heinz. However, Gary was looking forward to his father's existence in their family. How could she possibly ignore it?

Seeing her like this, Heinz's eyes narrowed and he called her cautiously, "Grace?"

Grace put down her hands, looked up at him and said, "Heinz, let's discuss this seriously."

"Okay," Heinz nodded in a hurry and said.

Grace looked away and gazed at the sky outside. She whispered, "Little Gary is indeed your child. I had him after that night with you. I wanted to tell you the moment I found out about it. But, I was selfish and had been considering my own feelings. I thought that we could be together, as this is the most suitable decision for Little Gary.

But it turned out that I was wrong. I don't think we are suitable to be together.

I shouldn't have hidden this matter. Gary has the right to know the truth, and so do you.

Now, you've already known about this matter. It's indeed my fault for hiding it for so long.

I sincerely apologize for this. I'm sorry," Grace said truthfully.

"Grace, I don't blame you," Heinz immediately said. "I really am grateful to you for giving birth to such a clever child for me."

Grace looked down. There was a touch of helplessness and sadness in her eyes.

"Heinz, the child is yours. I did the DNA test. In fact, I didn't know he was your child at first. I took your blood when I saw that Little Gary and you look very alike. I took your blood the last time when I had injured you," Grace said.

"So, that's what it was?" Heinz asked as he thought about it and understood that Grace had obviously done it on purpose that day.

Now that he thought about it, everything made sense.

Heinz looked at her and sighed in silent.

Jensen had already known about it since the beginning. Nevertheless, because he refused to listen to others' advice, Jensen had chosen not to tell him.

At the thought of it, Heinz felt that he was being too arbitrary. It was even more unreasonable for him to be angry.

Heinz said with sincerity, "Grace, it's my fault. I'm too narrow-minded."

"Heinz." Grace pursed her lips and replied, "Now that you know that the child is yours, tell me, what are you going to do?"

"Needless to say, I have to be with you and the child," Heinz responded solemnly. "I want us to reunite."

"No." Grace shook her head and said, "Heinz, I can let you acknowledge Little Gary as your son since he went to replace you behind my back. He must have wanted to meet you and recognize you as his father. I won't stop him now. You all have your rights."

She continued, "But I can't be with you. This is the truth. This is the conclusion I've made after many careful considerations."

"Can't we be together for the sake of the child?" Heinz asked. Hearing the repeated words of hers, he suddenly became worried and realized that Grace was not joking.

Grace paused and shook her head again, "It's exactly for the sake of our child that we can't be together. Our personalities aren't in harmony. We will surely fight all the time if we are together. I don't have any confidence to be with you, and I don't want to force myself."

The expectation in Heinz's eyes vanished in an instant upon hearing this.

His eyes were fixed on Grace, and his eyes were full of astonishment. He tried, "Is there no room for change?"

"No," Grace nodded seriously and replied.

Heinz said, "But what if this is what Little Gary wants?"
