In an instant, Grace flushed.

It was too embarrassing to be reminded by a child.

Heinz glanced at his two sons and said, "Couldn't you see that I'm having a date with your mom? Stay away."

"Well, we can stay away," Little Gary said. "But don't you think you are being too irresponsible for leaving our stomachs empty?"

"Your food will arrive soon. Butler Holland is going to deliver it," Heinz said. "Check through the peephole before letting people in." "That's more like it." Little Gary was finally satisfied and grabbed Ernest's hand. "Come on, Ernest. Let's go play."

"Okay!" Ernest and Little Gary went into the room and closed the door.

Still carried in Heinz's arms, Grace said helplessly, "Heinz! Put me down!"

"Nope!" he said in an overbearing manner.

Then, he proceeded to carry her into the bedroom. Without saying anything, he put her down, pinned her against the door, and kissed her.

Grace was in a daze. Heinz's emotion was at the verge of explosion

In less than a day, he had missed her so much.

Grace found that if it weren't for her menstruation, she would have been pushed on the bed instead.

Why was this man always acting on impulse?

Feeling a little painful, Grace let out a sigh.

Finally, she found a gap and quickly said, "How could you be like this? You came right in and began all of these without saying anything. You have gone too far!" "Yeah, I've gone too far indeed." Then, he lowered his head again.

Grace held her hand over his mouth, glaring at him. "Hold on!" Heinz looked at her with burning eyes, drawing his brows together. Grace knew that she was no match for him in terms of strength. However, Heinz did not continue. He kept his gaze on her.

"Simon Brown doesn't mean anything to me anymore. You don't have to be jealous," Grace said.

Heinz kissed her palm and said, "But he has been good to you in the past, and you also liked him." "Heinz, who doesn't have a past? You're no exception," Grace said to him solemnly.

Heinz's expression froze. A look of surprise flashed across his eyes.

Grace smiled softly and added, "And I believe that, the past is the past. It doesn't matter anymore."

Heinz was stunned for a moment. His eyes, full of deep emotions, gradually became brighter.

"You really do understand?" he asked in a low, hoarse voice.

Smiling, Grace asked, her eyes shining brightly, "Understand what?"

"That my past is indeed the past."

"As long as you said it, I believe you," she said. "Perhaps, deep inside, there is longing in your heart. But I think that is understandable."

"No, there's no longing," Heinz corrected her in a deep voice. "It's all in the past."

Grace's eyes widened.

Afraid that Grace would not take his words, Heinz went one step further in his explanation. "It's not that kind of longing. I may recall those moments from time to time, but it's definitely not the same feeling as before."

"Yes, that's what I meant," Grace said. "I no longer feel the same toward Simon too. So I think you can understand me, just like I understand you."

Heinz stared at her, his gaze becoming even more gentle.

"Heinz, I'm trying to know you more," murmured Grace.

Heinz's eyes narrowed. He reached out and held Grace in his arms.

"Thank you, Grace," he said softly. "I'm so blessed to have you."

"So, are you going to let me know you more?" Grace asked softly in his arms.

Actually, she had hoped Heinz would disclose to her what had happened in the past with Jodie.

However, he didn't seem to get her intention.

Perhaps, he was still hesitant as to how to begin the topic.

Heinz hugged Grace tightly. "Grace, you will understand me."

Grace let out a sigh. It seemed that Heinz was still not ready to say it.

She smiled and asked, "Where have you been today?"

Slightly stunned, he answered, "The cemetery."

Grace felt a flare of happiness. "Is he going to say it finally?" she pondered.

"I went to see a friend," Heinz lowered his voice. "It's her death anniversary soon."

"Which friend?"

Heinz paused for a moment. As if something had struck him, he suddenly distanced himself a little, lowered his head and looked at Grace.

Grace was still wearing a gentle expression. Everything looked normal.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked.

"Grace," Heinz said softly. "I went to see my exgirlfriend."

Finally, he was being honest.

Grace was stunned for a moment. Then, there was a flash of joy in her eyes.

It was a good start that he had finally said it out loud.

"Oh. So?" Grace asked gently.

"You" Heinz was a little hesitant. He looked at Grace in surprise as he felt that it shouldn't be her reaction. "Shouldn't you be angry to hear that?"

Grace shook her head slightly.

Still dumbfounded, Heinz looked at her in confusion.

He had expected Grace to be enraged, but obviously, she was not.

It was astonishing to him. "Aren't all women full of jealousy?" he thought to himself.

"Why should I be angry? Your ex-girlfriend had passed away. Why should I be angry with someone who is no longer alive? I'm just being hard to myself if I'm jealous of her."

"Grace!" Heinz exclaimed. "Are you really not angry?"

"I don't want to punish myself," Grace shrugged and spread her hands. "Although I'm not a very generous woman, as long as it doesn't clash with my life principles, I don't think I will be angry. Besides, that's your past, what matters is the present. If you are cheating on me now with another woman, I won't let it slide."

"Grace!" Heinz clasped her hand excitedly with both his hands.

She shook her head and said, "Seeing that you visited your ex-girlfriend on her death anniversary, reminiscing the moments you had with her, it shows that you are a loyal and righteous man. I appreciate that." "Grace!" Heinz was moved by her words. He never thought that she would be so understanding and tolerant.

"Don't be too touched." Grace took a deep breath and said, "I'm just being reasonable. I won't make trouble out of nothing."

"I know," Heinz understood.

"I'm thinking, you can try to really understand me, and I can understand you too. This is a good start." Grace was really relieved.

She felt that understanding each other is the most meaningful thing she could do for their relationship after all the things she had been through.

"Yes, it's a good start," Heinz agreed. He looked at her, pursed his lips and said, "I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?" Grace asked with a smile.

Heinz was stunned. He could sense that Grace had seen through everything.

He felt a piercing sense of guilt.
