True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 426
It was three o'clock in the afternoon.
After completing the draft, Grace showed it to Hermione. Hermione was very satisfied after reading it. She said to Grace, "Your draft is very good. You don't need to change it. You can spend the rest of the day as you wish. I'll let you get off work early if you want."
"Get off work early?" asked Grace. She felt bad as she had come in late that morning. It would be quite awkward if she left early in the afternoon.
"Yes, you're done with work. You can get off work," Hermione said. "You've done a good job for these interviews and your follow-up work. Your efficiency is commendable. You can leave early today." "I'll feel a little guilty if I do that," Grace said.
"Don't be!" chided Hermione. "I won't be this nice tomorrow. Tomorrow, you will need to write me some reports. You have interviewed some of Professor Ross's friends. By doing this, we can also get closer to the literati, and let the readers better understand the world of art, culture and their lives."
"No problem," Grace said. "I've contacted Professor Ross, and my friend also helped me by persuading him to help us. He said he was going to introduce some people to us."
"Then you rest today and do your things well. In the next three days, you will have to produce a manuscript that would usually take ten days," Hermione said seriously. "Your manuscript will be our main piece of work for our next issue."
Grace hummed in agreement. Nodding her head, she said, "Thank you, Miss Lowe."
"Oh, by the way," Hermione added, "I'm planning to change your pay. I'm going to increase the pay from 1.50 dollar per word to 3 dollars per word."
"Twice my old pay?" Grace was stunned for a moment.
"Yes, to improve the performance," Hermione smiled and said. "It's to encourage the team too."
"Miss Lowe, you're really a good boss."
"The benefit I can provide for workers is nothing compared to that of Mr. Jones' company, but if it's within our ability, I will try my best."
"That's already good enough," Grace praised her sincerely. "Thank you."
"Have a good rest today and arrange your upcoming schedule, because in the next few days, you may be too busy to spend time with Mr. Jones." Hermione joked. She was startled for a while. Then, Grace's face turned red.
Her menstruation had ended and she was still on medication. She didn't know if it was because of the medicine that her menstruation was over so soon.
"Well, I'll leave early for a check up at the hospital," Grace said.
"What's wrong?" Hermione asked.
"My period is irregular," Grace said. "I'm on medication. I'll go and have a look."
"You really should go for a check up."
After saying goodbye to Hermione, Grace left.
She went to the hospital and made an appointment to meet Chief Stone. Fortunately, Chief Stone was on duty.
It was 4 o' clock in the afternoon when Grace visited the hospital.
As soon as she entered, Chief Stone saw her and immediately looked at her in surprise, asking, "Grace?"
"Hi, Chief Stone," Grace walked over and gave Chief Stone her casebook. "I'm coming back for a check up. My period is over. You said that I needed to do an endocrine examination." "Oh, yes," Chief Stone nodded. "That's right, I told you to do that. How many days have passed since your period ended?"
"My period ended last night."
"Oh," Chief Stone looked at the casebook and frowned. "It's better to draw blood tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, since it's only been one day."
"I will need to work overtime tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, so I may not be able to come here." Grace explained, "Let's check it today."
"You're so busy," Chief Stone said in a casual tone, like a parent.
"Yeah, I'm busy with work," Grace answered obediently.
"Well, then let's take a blood test first, I'll give you a reference letter to the lab. The results can be retrieved within half an hour. Then come back after that, my shift is until 5.30p.m."
"Okay, thank you." After taking the order, she went to the lab to drop off her blood sample.
Grace waited for the result after her blood sample had been taken.
Grace looked at her watch and it was half past four. She called Heinz and said, "Heinz, send someone to pick up Little Gary and Ernest. I'll be back a little later." "Where are you?" Heinz immediately asked.
"I'm outside," Grace was afraid that Heinz would be worried, so she didn't tell him that she was in the hospital. Grace was afraid that Heinz would be startled.
"Okay, I'll arrange someone to pick them up and bring them back to the villa. It'll just be the two of us tonight. Candlelit dinner." Heinz said. Suddenly, he thought about it and realized he had not asked for her opinion. Heinz immediately asked again, "How about that?"
"Okay," Grace did not refuse. 'TH go back and cook dinner later."
"I don't want you to cook. Let's go to the villa on the mountain, okay?"
After thinking for a while, Grace nodded and said, "Yeah, sure, why not."
"Okay, I'll arrange it right away. I'll pick you up later."
"Well, I'll call you," she said. "When I'm done, I'll call you."
"All right," agreed Heinz.
Grace hung up the phone and waited for the results. Half an hour later, she got the test results.
She went to see Chief Stone.
Maybe it was because it was about time for Chief Stone to get off work, so there were no patients waiting for Chief Stone.
Chief Stone's students were also filling up the casebooks and organizing the files.
When she went back to Chief Stone, the students had handed in their files, and only Chief Stone and Grace were left.
After entering the room, Grace sat down and showed the test result to the chief.
Chief Stone took it over and looked at it and said, "Look at the result. There is still a small problem."
"What's the problem?" Grace looked at Chief Stone in surprise.
"Your estrogen secretion is a little too low." Chief Stone said, "If it is a premature secretion, then the uterus will be barren due to lack of nutrients."
"Ah," she understood what she meant. "What should I do?"
"Don't be nervous," Chief Stone said. "Grace, have you been very anxious all the time? Are you in a tense state?"
Grace knew that she had been that way.
She had navigated her life with her child. With the loss of her other child, she felt sad and had always been in poor health. Maybe she had gotten used to being nervous all the time and hadn't been aware of her mental state. It was hard to remain unbothered in her situation.
"There's a period of time when my situation was rather bad," Grace said. "I don't know if that's the cause."
"How bad?" Chief Stone asked with concern.
"Back then, my life was not very happy," said Grace with a smile. "Maybe it was because I was too young to be as calm as I am now."
"It may also be due to a mental factor," Chief Stone nodded and said. "Well, why don't you continue with the medicine I prescribed first. Anyway, it's not too bad, we'll formulate a customized prescription for you next time."
"Thank you," Grace said.
"You're welcome," Chief Stone looked at her and also smiled gently. "Grace, there's something I want to ask you about your physical condition. If it's not convenient for you to say, just don't say it. I know some girls are very shy about this."
"Go ahead," Grace said.
"Is your sex life with Heinz okay?" asked Chief Stone.
After thinking for a while, she blushed and said, "It's alright I guess."
Chief Stone nodded and said, "That's good. As long as you two are harmonious and stable in that aspect, your estrogen secretion should be okay. Otherwise, your body will lack stimulation and you won't have any desires."
"What?" Grace was shocked.
"From a medical perspective, an active sex life is beneficial to health," Chief Stone said. "You don't have to feel embarrassed."
