True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 428
"Grace?" Heinz was stunned. "What was she doing here?"
"To do an endocrine examination," Chief Stone said. "She was here in the afternoon. Didn't you come together?"
"No." Heinz immediately picked up his phone and saw the caller ID. Grace had called him 20 minutes ago.
Chief Stone said, "Her body's hormone secretion is irregular. That's why her health is affected. If you love each other a little more, her emotions will stabilize, and her health will be much better."
"I understand, Aunt Stone," Heinz said anxiously. "I'll be leaving first. Please keep an eye on Uncle Lawson for me."
"Okay," Chief Stone nodded with a smile. "Go ahead, your own happiness is more important than anything else."
"Okay." Heinz left quickly.
Heinz took his mobile phone and called Grace.
When the phone rang, Heinz apologized first. "I'm sorry, I just saw the message. Are you in the hospital? I'll pick you up. Which door are you at?"
"I already left," Grace said. "I'm at the entrance of Hart Villa District. Officer Charm and Alice invited me to dinner. I thought you might be busy for a while, so I didn't wait for you."
"Didn't we agree to have a candlelit dinner?" Heinz was shocked. "What did you eat with them?"
"It's okay. I'm worried that you're busy. Let's have dinner another day." Grace said, "I know you something urgent came up."
"You know?" Heinz was stunned.
"Yes, I know," admitted Grace, she did not intend to hide anything. "You called Chief Stone. Her student said that your friend's father is not in a good condition."
Heinz was stunned. All of a sudden, he felt a little flustered. He also felt distressed that Grace had just left like that a while ago.
"I'm going to pick you up from Hart Villa District," Heinz said. "It's better if you come back to the mountain villa with me."
"I can't," Grace said. "I promised Alice. She has bought my meal, and I also want to see where Alice lives. You can do your own work first. Isn't your friend's father in danger now? How is he?" "Still in a coma," Heinz said. "High blood pressure."
"Then you stay there and wait. You can come back after he recovers." Grace was worried that if he left, it might cause delays for treatment of Uncle Lawson's condition. If he delayed the treatment of the illness it would be troublesome.
"Lester is here," Heinz said. "I don't need to stay here."
It didn't make much sense to stay there. Uncle Lawson was angry at him, so it was meaningless for him to stay there.
"You don't?" Grace was a little surprised. It seemed that she could tell that Heinz's tone was not very pleasant and he seemed to be in a very bad mood.
"No," Heinz said.
"What's going on?" Grace asked.
Heinz didn't answer.
She waited for a moment before resuming, "Alright then. Come to Hart Villa District for dinner. Well go back for a candlelight dinner after that. What do you say?"
"Okay." Heinz said in a low voice.
"I'll wait for you here."
After hanging up, Grace got out of the car. At first glance, she saw the entrance of Hart Villa District. She remembered that many years ago, she came here to replace someone after she was pregnant. At that time she had waited for that person many times, but could not replace him.
The past was the past.
"Grace!" Suddenly, there came a man's voice. Grace saw a car stopped not far away. It was Jensen.
"Officer Charm?"
"Get in the car. Alice is waiting for you at home."
Grace walked over quickly and got into Jensen's car. "By the way, have you found the scarred man who threatened Alice yesterday?"
"Yes," Jensen sighed when he thought about it. "Heinz gave them 25 million dollars in exchange for your safety. He also asked me to help those hooligans sort out their lives legally."
"Twenty-five million," repeated Grace. She was surprised.
Jensen immediately explained, "I didn't understand at first, but he thought it was worth it. More importantly, he wanted to transform those peoples' lives."
"But the price is too high," Grace sighed deeply. "If there are more people like them in the future, how can Heinz handle them all?"
"Yes," agreed Jensen. He pursed his lips and said apologetically, "Sorry, this is my fault. Grace, you can rest assured that I will handle everything well in the future."
"No," Grace shook her head sensibly. "Officer Charm, as long as you are still a policeman, Alice would be threatened again. This cannot be avoided. There are too many outlaws all over the world. I really hope that you can protect my sister from being hurt."
It wasn't child's play, nor was it empty talk. Talking alone would never solve the issue.
Jensen also fell into silence, feeling a little embarrassed and awkward.
"You don't have to blame yourself," she assured. "Alice is very brave. She has a good hunch. Today, I even thought about persuading her to leave you, but she didn't want to."
Jensen pulled the car into the underground garage and looked at Grace in surprise. "If you really think that, I can understand."
"My sister reassured me, and she has made up her mind," Grace said. "Don't worry, she won't leave you." "Thank you," Jensen gasped in surprise and slightly relaxed. "You are right. I can't just say empty words. The risk is real and unavoidable." "Let's go. Alice is getting impatient," said Grace before she got out of the car.
Jensen followed suit. The two went upstairs together. When they reached the door, Jensen said, "It used to be Heinz's house. I stayed with him for a long time, and he left the house to me." "Well, I know," Grace nodded.
"You know that?" Jensen was very surprised.
"That's right. When I was pregnant with Little Gary, I came to look for him, but my sister threw the phone number away. I couldn't replace him back then." She felt helpless when she thought about it. "Your sister did it on purpose!" Jensen said.
"It seems that it's true now," Grace said with a wry smile.
Jensen nodded and opened the door.
Alice was serving the dishes on the table. "Sister, Jensen, did you two come together?"
"At the entrance, I happened to meet her." Jensen smiled and walked toward Alice. When he stopped in front of her, Jensen first checked Alice's face and found that it was not swollen anymore but there was still some redness. Apart from that, she was all right.
"Wash your hands. There is still one more dish to prepare and we can eat!" Alice said, "By the way, where is my nephew?"
"He and Ernest were taken away by the butler," Grace said.
"Then, will my brother-in-law come back?" Alice asked.
"He'll be here in a minute." Grace answered.
"Why didn't you two come together?" Alice was very surprised. "How did the check up at the hospital go?"
"There's a small problem," Grace said. "It'll be fine after some treatment. Heinz was also in the hospital, but we didn't meet. He's busy." "What's he busy with?"
Jensen was also shocked and said, "Heinz was in the hospital?"
"Uncle Lawson was sick. He doesn't seem to be in a good condition."
Jensen was also stunned. "Did he tell you?"
"No, I just happened to hear it," Grace said. "Chief Stone answered the phone and I heard it."
"Who is Uncle Lawson?" Alice was very surprised.
Grace and Jensen did not answer.
"Hello, I'm asking?" Alice asked again.
"It's his friend's father," Grace answered.
Alice looked at Jensen.
Jensen nodded.
Soon, Heinz arrived. As soon as he entered the door, Alice asked him before he sat down, "Heinz, is Uncle Lawson better now?" Heinz's heart skipped a beat. He subconsciously looked at Grace and felt that something wasn't right.
