True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 446
"Don't talk nonsense," Laney immediately stopped her. "You have to change your bad habit of gossiping. Not everyone can bear this habit. How does your husband tolerate you?"
"It's true that I'm too straightforward," Julia said frankly, "Sigh, I'm just worried. I hope Grace isn't a mistress."
"She seems very pure. She's not a bad child," Laney said, "Let's not make any rash claims."
"Alright!" Julia also said frankly, "I understand and I accept your advice. I won't say so much in the future."
After thinking for a while, Grace felt a little embarrassed, but soon she adjusted herself and took a deep breath.
She calmed down the embarrassment in her heart and reached out to knock on the door.
"Come in," Laney said.
After pushing the door open and entering the room, Laney was stunned when she saw Grace. She immediately said, "Grace, why did you come back?"
Julia was also stunned. She felt a little awkward.
Grace smiled and said with a relaxed and calm face, "I forgot my purse!"
Laney and Julia looked at each other. Both of them were a little worried. They did not know how much of their conversation Grace had heard.
Grace entered the room and found her purse on the chair. She picked it up and nodded slightly to them, "Professor Brooks, Aunt White, I'll leave first." "Yes, be careful on the way," Laney instructed, "Take care. Regarding the interview, I'll settle it for you. I'll give the list to Tyler so he can bring it to you." "Thank you, Professor Brooks," Grace expressed her gratitude.
"Don't mention it," Laney smiled. "Go ahead."
"Goodbye," Grace said and waved her hand.
She left and closed the door behind her.
She left quickly.
Inside the room, Julia took a deep breath. "My God. I wonder how much she heard."
Laney also sighed helplessly. "You don't even know how many people you've offended with your words."
"My husband said the same thing, but I always feel that it's alright. I'm just a little straightforward," Julia said.
"No, being straightforward is cute." Laney glanced at her friend. "But you're too straightforward to the point that you humiliate others. You're already over fifty years old, Julia. You can't live like this anymore." Julia also had a flicker of helplessness in her eyes. "I know, but it's not easy to change it."
"Take your time to change," Laney said.
When Grace entered the elevator, the words 'third wheel' and 'mistress' were still flashing in her mind. It was too hurtful.
Fortunately, she was not. If she really was a third wheel, she would not have the ability to bear it.
She smiled slightly. Looking at the reflection of herself who was smiling bitterly, in the mirrored elevator wall, she couldn't help sighing.
Soon, the elevator arrived downstairs.
When Tyler saw her come out, he quickly went up to her and asked, "Did you get it?"
"Yes, I got it." As soon as Grace answered, her phone rang.
She picked up the phone and glanced at it, only to see that it was Heinz.
Slightly stunned, she picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Have you had dinner?" Heinz asked.
"I just had my dinner," Grace said.
"I am in the parking lot of the exhibition center," Heinz said with a low and magnetic voice, "Come out, let's go home."
"Are you here?" Grace asked in surprise.
"Yes, I'm here."
"Give me a minute." After thinking for a while, she said, "No, I have to go to the Newspaper Office."
The interview draft must be sorted out. At this point, Hermione should still be waiting for her draft.
"Well, I'll send you there," Heinz said in a deep voice.
"Okay." Grace took a good look at Tyler and said to him, "Tyler, you can send Professor Brooks and Aunt White off. Chuck and I will leave in Heinz's car." "He's here?" Tyler could not help but confirm with Grace if Heinz was here.
"Yes, he's here." Grace looked at Chuck and said, "Chuck, let's go to the Newspaper Office first to meet up with the editor."
"Alright." Chuck also immediately smiled. "Then, Mr. Henley, we'll part here."
"Goodbye." Tyler smiled at them. "Be careful on the way."
Grace nodded slightly and said, "Goodbye."
Soon, Chuck and Grace walked to the parking lot. She took out her phone and called Heinz. "Where are you?"
"I saw you," Heinz said in a low voice, "I'm to your left."
"Oh, I see you." Grace looked in the direction he pointed out, and saw a tall figure standing next to the car.
Behind him was Alex Logan.
After saying that, Grace immediately walked towards them.
"Grace, I shouldn't bother you two. I'd better take a taxi back myself. The editor said they'll pay for the fare anyway," Chuck said.
"Don't be so courteous. Let's go. It's almost eight o'clock. How long do you want the editor to wait?"
Grace said.
Chuck was a little embarrassed by her words.
In a flash, she was in front of Heinz. He looked at her, opened the door of the passenger seat quickly, and glanced at Chuck. "You can get into his car!" After that, he looked at Alex.
Alex immediately smiled and said, "Mr. Dorris, please get into my car."
"That's great!" Chuck immediately grinned, "I was worried that I might bother you two, but I didn't expect Mr. Jones to be so thoughtful. Thank you for your help." Heinz ignored him and went straight to open the door of the driver's seat.
"You came with two cars?" Grace turned to look at Heinz.
There was not much expression on his face. "I didn't want to miss any time alone I get to spend with you."
Grace's face turned slightly red, and she became embarrassed in an instant after thinking for a while.
She felt warm in her heart when she heard such words, but she also felt very embarrassed. Heinz turned to look at her, not in a hurry to leave.
There was a deep and warm look in his eyes as he looked at her. There were emotions in his eyes.
Especially after what happened in the morning, he still felt very happy up until now.
This was a very generous and deep love he felt.
Grace's generosity and magnanimity made him sigh with self-pity.
"Let's go." Seeing that he was not leaving, Grace turned around to look at him again.
He was still looking at her.
Grace blushed as she said, "Hurry up, I have to go to the Newspaper Office."
It was only then that Heinz started the car and left the exhibition center. The car cruised unhurriedly on the road.
Heinz asked, "Did today go well?"
Grace was startled and hesitated for a moment.
"Did it not?" He immediately became worried, afraid that she might encounter any hardships at work. "Do you need my help? You can just tell me, and I will help you with anything."
Grace shook her head and looked a little absentminded. She said, "Everything went smoothly today, but I suddenly realized something tonight."
"What?" Heinz's voice sounded slightly nervous.
"Don't be nervous." She heard the nervousness in Heinz's tone. "I just had a little epiphany."
"Tell me about it," Heinz said.
"I'm thinking..." Grace paused for a moment and said softly, "When I interviewed you, it was because we were attracted to each other, and I got it because of some help from the others. I know you don't like to be interviewed, especially by a low-level newspaper company like ours."
Heinz was a little surprised. He smiled and said, "Since you were the one conducting the interview, I accepted it. If it was someone else, it's impossible that I would've done it."
