True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 456
Old Master Carter's face looked peaceful and even his eyes were extremely calm.
Claris couldn't tell what Old Master Carter was trying to say.
She couldn't understand what Heinz's grandfather meant.
Claris was perturbed.
Old Master Carter narrowed his eyes and said, "Nothing. I'm just asking. Has Heinz been with her recently?"
"I don't think so," Claris said. She lifted up the corners of her mouth and forced a smile, looking a little guilty. "I don't know."
She could not let Old Master Carter know that Grace had given birth to Heinz's child.
Therefore, Claris stared at Old Master Carter, trying to figure out his real thoughts were from his expression.
Seeing Claris looking at him, Old Master Carter's eagle-like eyes suddenly became sharp.
He stared deeply into Claris's eyes, staring straight into them with a smile.
Claris was shocked. She didn't even dare to look at Old Master Carter now.
She couldn't look at him face to face.
Therefore, she looked away.
The old man's eyes fell on her. After a few seconds, he moved his eyes away and looked at the door with a meaningful smile.
"Claris, do you really want to marry Heinz?" Old Master Carter asked.
"Ah!" Claris raised her head in shock. She looked at the old man in embarrassment.
Old Master Carter turned to look at her. His gaze was so sharp that no one dared to look straight into his eyes.
"Tell me honestly and don't hesitate. The children of the Lu family shouldn't behave like this," Old Master Carter said.
"Yes!" Claris nodded immediately, her hands clasped tightly together. She bit her lip, thought for a moment, and said, "Yes, grandfather, I want to marry Brother Heinz."
"Do you think you can withstand the suffering?" Old Master Carter asked.
"What suffering?" Claris asked.
"For example, you have to be prepared for the fact that he might not love you," Old Master Carter said.
"He won't love me?" Claris's face was a little stiff and images of the past flashed through her mind. Heinz's indifference towards her was definitely more than just a little bit. "Even so, I still want to marry him." Old Master Carter's eyes jumped as he looked directly at her. "You're really brave."
Claris couldn't tell if Old Master Carter was praising her or if he was thinking about something else.
She pursed her lips and said, "My grandmother said that girls have to be persistent. When they choose someone, they must persist in their choice."
Old Master Carter was stunned for a moment. His gaze was a little distant.
He pondered for a moment and said, "Claris, if your grandmother knew that you wanted to marry Heinz, and me being his grandfather, I can't do anything for you nor can I make him love you, she will definitely scold me. I can't let her precious granddaughter suffer."
"Grandpa, my grandmother can't control my thoughts. Everyone knows that I like Brother Heinz and you also promised to help me. I just want to be Heinz's wife," Claris said.
At the end of her words, her face was a little hot. She felt that her actions were very out of line.
She was afraid that she would leave a bad impression on Old Master Carter, so her face turned red.
"What have you heard recently?" Old Master Carter finally asked, his gaze sharper than ever.
He stared at Claris for a moment, with consideration in his eyes.
"Grandpa?" Claris looked at him in surprise. A bad feeling welled up in her heart.
"I'm asking you, didn't you watch the news?" Old Master Carter asked.
Claris had a bad feeling in her heart and asked in surprise, "Grandpa, have you seen the news?" "So you've seen the news as well," Old Master Carter said with a smile. A derisive smile forming at the corner o his lips.
"Grandpa, I didn't mean to hide it from you," Claris said.
"Claris, since you knew, you should've told me about it," Old Master Carter looked at her faintly and said in a calm tone, "You didn't tell me because you are afraid that I will accept Grace for the sake of my important grandson, right?"
"Grandpa!" Claris said in a surprised tone. She stared at Old Master Carter in a daze. She could not believe that Old Master Carter was aware of the truth.
"I'm sorry," Claris said.
She apologized honestly.
Old Master Carter looked at her and said, "Claris, you're right. I don't think you're suitable for Heinz."
Claris was once again stunned. Her eyes widened as she looked at Old Master Carter in disbelief.
"You- didn't you give me your support just now?" Claris was confused.
"What's the use of me supporting you? Heinz doesn't like you and you can't make him like you. He doesn't care about you at all. Child, there are many fish in the sea. Why do you have to take a fancy to Heinz? He is so rude," Old Master Carter said.
Claris calmed herself down and gently shook her head. "Grandpa, I've liked him for a long time."
"I wanted to help you at first," Old Master Carter sighed and continued, "But I don't like lying children."
Claris was shocked and said, "Grandpa, if you are angry, I apologize. I was really afraid that if you knew about it, you would want Grace to be your future granddaughter-in-law."
"You don't even have the confidence to compete with others. Just for this reason, you can't be Heinz's wife." Old Master Carter sighed loudly, "No, you're really not suitable." "Grandpa!" Claris cried.
"Housekeeper, send the guest away," Old Master Carter said in a low voice.
The butler came at once.
When Claris saw this, she felt very wronged and her eyes turned red.
She was brought out by the butler. Outside, Claris called her grandmother. "Grandmother, Brother Heinz's grandfather doesn't like me. Please help me."
Huo Family.
Old Master Carter ordered, "Prepare the car. Let's go to the kindergarten to see my lovely grandson."
The butler was shocked and said, "Chief, if you go now, I wonder if Young Master Jones will be angry if he replaces out."
Old Master Carter said in a deep voice, "I already called him a few times. Since he doesn't want to come, I have to go there myself."
"But, you weren't clear either." The butler was still a little worried. He was afraid that Heinz would be angry if he knew about it. If Heinz was furious, it wouldn't be good.
Especially recently, both of them had tempers that were getting more and more violent.
"I think it's better to tell Young Master Jones," the butler said.
"Why do we need to tell him? I have the final say in this family." The old man was so angry that he became like a military officer and gave orders directly, "Stop your nonsense. Hurry up and prepare the car."
"Yes sir!" The butler said.
Left with no choice, he could only go and do what he was told.
Soon, the car was ready.
Old Master Carter changed into a clean set of clothes and got into the car with a walking stick in his hand.
In the car, he asked, "Have you checked it out? Is the child in the same class as Ernest?"
"Yes, Chief," the butler immediately said, "The child is in the same class as Young Master Ernest. He looks very smart. I think they have been playing and working together recently."
"Is that so?" Old Master Carter tilted his head, looked at the butler and said, "It seems like they have a good relationship?"
"That's right." The butler nodded. "They've been staying together for the past few days, so their relationship is especially good."
