True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 489
Alice's eyes widened.
Jensen's handsome face seemed to be getting bigger in front of her.
It was almost possible to see Jensen's eyelashes at a glance.
They were so long and thick and she could see her own reflection in his eyes.
She was like an innocent little girl, pursing her lips and widening her eyes as if she was looking forward to something. She was anxious and expectant. Her heart suddenly began to beat faster.
At the moment when Jensen leaned forward and almost touched her lips, he suddenly halted.
Alice's heart was pounding wildly.
Her body tensed and she pursed her lips tightly.
However, Jensen let go of her instead. "Let's watch a movie," he said.
He released her and didn't get close to her anymore.
They snuggled up to each other and did not make any more intimate moves. They just watched a movie together at noon.
There was a faint smile on Jensen's lips, but a trace of sadness flashed in his eyes.
That night's damage was so deep that she couldn't bear it at all.
He sighed and held back the impulses in his heart, not laying a finger on her.
Perhaps, she did not trust him enough, so she couldn't let herself loosen up.
He shouldn't be so impatient.
Since the beginning of their love, Jensen had made up his mind and heaved a sigh of relief in his heart.
As Alice sat beside him, realising that he wasn't going to make any intimate moves, she felt a spark of relief in her heart, yet at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a little regret as well. At the end of the movie, Jensen's phone rang.
Alice immediately moved away from him.
He answered the phone. "Hello? I'm Jensen."
Standing by the side, Alice watched as he got up from the ground and walked outside. His tall body gave off an oppressive aura.
"Okay, I'll be there right away," There was a touch of seriousness on his face.
Alice knew that he was leaving.
Sure enough, he hung up the phone and said to her apologetically, "There is a new case, I have to go."
"Okay," Alice nodded. "Go ahead. Don't worry about me!"
Jensen stepped forward and gave her a hug before he left.
She felt warm in his arms, but she felt a little disappointed when he left.
Alice watched him leave until the door closed.
Then, she went to the bathroom quickly.
While watching that movie, she'd actually had a reaction to it. She had to change her clothes, so she just took a bath.
She looked at herself in the mirror. She was such a beautiful person, but unfortunately, she had been ruined many years ago.
Alice didn't even understand why Jensen loved her when ordinary men didn't like people like her very much.
Every time, he would give in to her.
Many thoughts gathered in her heart, causing her to be in a mess, unable to think clearly.
The Smith family.
When Grace called Simon, he was at the Smith Family home because he'd had to send Marry back.
Grace arrived at the Smith family house.
She'd left this place for so many years and had never once returned. As a result, when she stepped into the front door once again, she felt an odd feeling rise up in her heart.
Getting out of the car, Alex immediately said, "Miss Smith, be careful. I'll wait for you at the door."
"Don't worry." Grace reassured him with a smile, then turned around and walked into the house.
At the door, someone immediately blocked her way.
She took a close look and realized that it was a stranger. Were the servants who had been working in the Smith family not around anymore?
"Who are you?" The servant asked.
Grace had a complicated feeling in her heart. She looked at the servant and said, "I'm Grace Smith."
That servant was startled, and his brows tightened. He asked, "May I know who you are looking for?"
"I'm the second daughter here, and this is my home. Who do you think I'm looking for?" Grace asked.
The servant immediately said, "Sorry, I didn't know there was a second daughter when I came. Our madam said that this is Mr. Brown's and her house. I only listen to Mr. Brown's and Madam's orders." Family rules were really powerful, and Marry's skills were extraordinary.
Looking at the servant, Grace didn't say anything.
At that moment, a man came out in a hurry. He was tall and walked very quickly. "How dare you! This is Miss Grace. Let her in immediately."
"Yes, sir." As soon as the servant saw Simon, he immediately apologized to Grace. "I'm sorry, Miss Grace, we didn't know what was going on."
"It's fine," Grace said calmly.
She turned to look at Simon.
Simon stared at her, his eyes full of complicated emotions. He never thought that Grace would come to him.
"Where's Marry?" Grace asked.
"She's locked up in her room," said Simon. "She's screaming."
Sure enough, a sharp voice came from inside the villa. "Simon, you b*stard, how dare you lock me up? It's impossible for you to continue your relationship with Grace!" Simon looked exasperated. "Maybe you're right. She's really crazy. She should be sent to a psychiatric hospital for treatment."
"Then what are you waiting for?" asked Grace in reply.
Startled, Simon looked at Grace and said, "I'm going to divorce her. I think it's not appropriate for me to send her away."
"But you haven't divorced yet, have you?" Grace said, "In her current state, she has lost her rationality."
"Yes, you're right." Simon nodded. "I should have sent her straight there, but you...why did you come to see me?"
Marry was still shrieking, "Simon, you're a b*stard. Let me out, let me out!"
"Grace, let's go inside first."
"No, we will talk in the yard." Grace felt that it was unnecessary to go in, so she said, "I came here to ask you what happened to my other child."
Simon's eyes narrowed. He looked at her in surprise, "Grace, I really don't know."
Grace glared into Simon's eyes sharply, "Simon, you are not as innocent as you claim to be."
"Fine, fine!" Simon looked at her in puzzlement.
"When I was giving birth that day, you were there. When I entered the operating room, I saw you. Although it was just a glimpse, I still saw you." "Yes, I was there." Simon stared at her and his eyes were full of pain. "I was worried about you. I was afraid that you would lose your life if you give birth to two children. I was also afraid that you would hurt yourself when you give birth to two children at a very young age. I was even more upset that the man who made you pregnant was not me."
He said all that in one breath, agitation palpable in his voice.
Grace frowned and said faintly, "Can you not make such a scene? Don't sound so riled up as if you are really worried about me."
"I've always been worried about you." Simon said in a low voice, "Grace, why don't you understand? Even if we missed our chance, I still have feelings for you."
"I'm asking you about the child. I'm not interested in your bulls*it."
Simon said heavily, "I don't know."
"Simon." Grace's tone hardened.
Simon looked at her for a second. "It was Marry who took care of the child's body. I don't know anything."
With this, he turned his gaze to the outside of the door. At that time, Alex was observing them from a distance.
Simon chuckled and said in a sarcastic tone, "You still have a bodyguard with you when you came home. You don't trust me, do you?"
Grace stiffened. Did he even need to ask?
Of course she didn't trust him.
