After sitting down again, Nerissa apologised to Heinz, Grace, and Alice.

"Heinz, Grace, Alice, I'm sorry you had to see that... It's embarrassing."

"Aunt Nerissa, it's okay. We are a family." Heinz said, "We have heard about the situation long ago, and we had expected this to happen."

"Yes, Aunt Nerissa." Grace nodded and added, "Heinz is right, we have been expecting this result. As long as Zachary and you miss Grandma, I'm satisfied enough. Besides, this is also Uncle Philip's last wish."

"Aunt Nerissa, please don't blame yourself." Alice also spoke to comfort Nerissa, "In fact, both of you and Zachary have been wronged for all these years."

"Silly child." Nerissa smiled gently. "I don't have any grievances.

Philip and Zachary had always protected me. Moreover, Philip had truly worked hard before passing.

However, the Lowe family was huge and complicated. He was alone and had no help, so he had failed to bring your grandma home while she was still alive. This was his greatest regret, as well as mine.

Fortunately, Zachary has made great efforts and I have finally got the chance to meet all of you again.

I'm really gratified to receive your support too.

Dear children, let me propose a toast to you. Thank you for coming."

"Aunt Nerissa!" Grace was also very touched and she replied, "We are a family. There is no need to be so courteous."

"That's right, Mom!" Zachary agreed as he said, "We are indeed a family. Also, Grandma's cremation has been settled. Let's head to Northern City."

"You want me to come along?" Nerissa asked him in surprise.

"Of course. Otherwise, I won't be at ease if you were to stay here."

Nerissa nodded. "Well, whatever you say, I will listen to you. But Zachary, what was Charles talking about just now?"

Zachary told her and the others to take a seat before explaining, "At first, I wanted Grandma's tomb to be located in the Lowe family's ancestral tomb. I wouldn't mind under the condition that Dad is allowed to be buried alongside Grandma."

"But Charles didn't object." Nerissa was taken aback and said, "That means he agreed to allow Grandma enter the ancestral tomb, right?"

"Yes. That's because he has a motive now." Zachary had easily discovered Charles's intention. He told them his thoughts, "Lowe Property is now facing a crisis and they are suffering from a great loss. He knows that I have money and wants me to invest in his properties. However, I have refused him several times."

"Oh, I see." Nerissa was originally a rich lady who lived a luxurious life. She had never gone out to work for the past years, hence she genuinely didn't know much about the things happening in the workplace. Now that she heard Zachary's words, she somewhat understood the situation.

Heinz looked at Zachary and said, "Charles is still eyeing your money."

Zachary smiled and turned to Heinz, answering, "I'm afraid that he's also begun targeting you."

Heinz smiled and said nothing. Just now, he had observed Charles' change of attitude upon hearing his introduction.

It was ridiculous.

To have Zachary point it out so directly, Heinz simply laughed as if it was a joke.

Alice immediately frowned and said, "Zachary, Uncle Charles is so scary. He is such a snobbish man."

Zachary smiled slightly and did not express any opinion.

Heinz, however, responded, "It's not scary if he doesn't have a snob in mind. I'm only afraid that he would come up with some evil ideas if he's not able to achieve his goal."

"Yes, that's possible," Zachary added.

"What should we do then?"

Alice subconsciously started to get nervous.

"What are you afraid of?" Zachary was very confident as he affirmed them, "We already have everything now. We don't need to be afraid of him anymore. If we start worrying again, wouldn't all our efforts become a joke?"

"Zachary, you're amazing." Hearing this, Alice immediately gave him a thumbs-up with a bright smile.

Nerissa also grinned and comforted Alice, "You don't have to be afraid. Charles is very cunning and might even make things more difficult for you.

However, we still have Master Lowe. At least in the years that I've married into this family, he had never been harsh on us other than his stubborn temper.

That's why Zachary, no matter what, is your grandpa. Don't cross the line with him when you do things."

"Is that old man good at handling things?" Alice was baffled. "But all I saw just now was an unreasonable old man."

"Don't mind him; he's getting old." Nerissa said, "He's Philip's father after all."

"Aunt Nerissa, I'm sorry." Alice was a woman of words. "I really don't like that old man. Every time I think of how he abandoned my grandma, I can't force myself to like him."

Nerissa nodded to show her understanding. "I understand your feelings."

After thinking for a while, Grace said, "Alice, Aunt Nerissa is the daughter-in-law of the Lowe family after all. She has been living in the Southland for decades and has to consider her mother's family. Since she's in a dilemma, we shouldn't pressure her."

Nerissa was a little surprised and looked at Grace. She didn't expect that Grace could understand why

she was in such a dilemma.

She smiled and said softly, "What a considerate child. I don't want to ask you of anything, but I just hope that Zachary would live as an honest man."

"Aunt Nerissa, I understand." Grace could understand her thoughts as well.

Zachary then said, "Mom, don't worry. I know what to do."

"Now, it seems that Master Lowe didn't stop us. He also meant to place Grandma's ashes at the ancestral tomb." Heinz spoke again, "What are you going to do?"

"I won't allow that to happen." Zachary answered, "I want them to beg us to do that."

Heinz said, "Since he has something he needs from you and is perhaps targeting me too, he might do everything he can to get what he wants."

"If nothing unexpected happens, that should be the case," Zachary agreed.

"But Zachary," Grace still felt worried and said, "I am afraid that Grandma's ashes will become a tool for their revenge if they can't achieve their purpose. If they can't get what they want, they would take advantage of her ashes."

Zachary's eyes flashed at this reminder, and he gazed into Heinz's eyes.

When the two men looked into each other's eyes, there was a flash of insight in them.

"Grace is right." Heinz stated, "Perhaps you should consider this."

Zachary smiled lightly and replied, "That's for sure. I've considered it, but I didn't expect that Grace would bring it up. It seems that this is very likely to happen."

Heinz smiled in return and continued, "When Master Lowe left just now, he took a long look at the ashes.

I advise you to hide the ashes as it won't be safe if left unprotected for the night."

Zachary was stunned to hear this and then nodded. "You are right. I should deal with everything and make early preparations."
