Grace asked in reply, "How do you know that he doesn't love you?"

Alice hugged Grace and her tears fell on her shoulders, which burned Grace and made her heart ache.

She shook her head and cried, "He thinks that he owes me. He only wanted to be responsible for it and he admitted it himself. The tender affection he had for me was because of his responsibility towards me, not love. Sister, I don't want Jensen to pity me. I don't want this kind of love."

Grace was stunned. "Aren't you thinking too much?"

Alice got up from Grace's arms and turned around, retrieving some tissues to wipe her tears away. "Grace, have a seat and accompany me for a while."

"Sure!" She sat down together with Alice on the sofa. Grace immediately comforted her and said, "Don't think too much. Jensen is not someone like that. He looks like a very honest man."

"I know." Alice also knew Jensen's personality. She paused and then continued, "From the beginning, he was just trying to make up and take responsibility for me. If it was to be someone else, it would be the same too just because he had hurt them. If it was to be another person, he would also be responsible for the other woman too, not just because I am who I am, but just because I happened to be the woman he had hurt."

Although Alice took her time in speaking, Grace knew what she was trying to say, and heard the hidden meaning in her words.

Her brows knitted tightly together as she finally understood why Alice was feeling sad.

"Grace, I don't want a passionate love, but if he doesn't love me and he was with me only because he owes me, why should I make him suffer?" Alice looked at Grace with tears in her eyes. "I think, both Jensen and I need time to calm down. Both of us need time to calm down."

After careful consideration, Grace thought that what her sister said was sensible. She said, "You are really just calm."

"Yes!" Alice nodded and said, "I can't accept it for a while yet, but I know that Jensen is a good person. He is not an irresponsible man. It is because he is good that I can't let him take responsibility and kidnap him for a lifetime with this reason. If it is not true love then we should not be together."

This request was simple but how many couples were truly in love with each other in this world?

What Alice was looking for was just a magnanimous love.

Her words made Grace raise her head, but she only looked at Alice for a while and then she lowered her head again. Finally, she looked at her sister and said, "I understand all your thoughts. I hid it from you before because I was afraid that you would not accept Jensen. In fact, it was actually my idea."

Alice replied, "I know. You were doing this out of kindness. I'm getting myself out now, I'm getting away from that trauma."

Grace's attentive eyes fell on Alice's face gently. The traces of sweet love could still be seen on Alice's neck.

But the time they spent in love was so brief that it vanished in an instant.

Grace didn't know whether she should feel grateful for the fact that her sister could come out of the trauma, or be distressed for her feeling of waking up from a nightmare.

"Alice, you can feel Jensen's feelings for you."

Alice said, "Grace, both pity and guilt are not love. I can feel how protective and distressed he is and how he took care of me all this time, but I just can't extricate myself from his love for me just because of this I have to think this through."

"Then are you sure you can get over it by just staying in your room?" Grace could not help but worry.

"Grace, I am your younger sister. We are the same. Apart from being strong, there is nothing else we can do." Alice promised her and said, "Don't worry, I won't take things too hard and I won't take my own life."

Six years ago, her elder sister was pregnant and gave birth to two children before she was married. She lost one of them and she did not even take her own life.

Six years ago, she lost her most precious thing and she didn't even take her own life and so they wouldn't even do it now.

As one got older, they would only become stronger and more mature.

"Don't worry about me. I just want to adjust my heart," Alice promised solemnly.

"Jensen seems to be very worried."

Alice was stunned and said in a low voice, "That's a life both he and I must go through. Grace, don't worry about me. Jensen still doesn't understand what the problem is." "Have you asked him yet?"

Alice nodded, "Yes, I did."

Grace was taken aback. She was surprised, then she asked, "Did you ask already?"

Alice sighed then said, "Yes." Her eyes were flashing, a clarity in them, then she added, "I will handle it myself."

Grace looked at Alice's pale face. She knew that it was indeed her own affairs and she was willing to do it herself. Grace also knew that she would have to let her deal with it herself, no matter how worried she

was.

"Grace, I'm much better now. I want to get some sleep so you can go back now." Alice forced a smile and said, "Don't worry. After experiencing so many things, I will only be stronger."

Upon hearing her sister's words, Grace sighed and asked, "Are you really feeling much better now?"

Alice nodded solemnly and said, "Yes!"

After thinking about it, Grace had to give up. Then she said, "In that case, I'll go back. You can have a rest and sleep for a while. If you can't figure things out, just tell me."

Alice nodded her head again, "Yes!"

After thinking for a while, Grace left.

She knew that Alice would not take things too hard. Alice just needed time, so she was slightly relieved.

As soon as she came out, she saw Jensen smoking at the door. As soon as he saw Grace coming out, he put out the cigarette immediately and asked in a low voice, "How was it?"

Grace took a good look at him and whispered, "She needs to rest so just let her sleep. There are some things that she has to figure out, and you, Officer Charm, you should also think about whether you really love Alice or not, instead of being with her just because of responsibility."

Jensen was stunned. He looked at Grace and said, "Of course I like her."

"But if the girl in the tent was another person, would you still like her?" Grace asked and seeing the confusion on Jensen's face, it was as if he had not figured it out yet.

Grace finally knew why Alice was so sad now.

"Maybe you don't love Alice as much as you think you do." After saying that, Grace looked at Heinz, who was standing two meters away behind Jensen.

He also frowned.

Grace walked towards Heinz.

Jensen turned back and looked at Grace. "Grace, is there any difference?"

Grace said seriously, "There's a difference. Women are sensitive. They love each other with all their hearts. If they love, they love. If they don't love, then they don't love. They don't care about equal value. Some things can't have equal value."

After finishing her words, she went straight back to her room without looking at Jensen.

The children were asleep.

Heinz walked in, looked at Grace and said, "What you asked me just now, in my opinion, there is no difference."

"Does that mean that if you marry someone, it will be the same as marrying me? Are you saying that since we're all women, there's no difference?"
