True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 641
Alice tensed up immediately. She felt very stressed as she sat with Jensen's mother.
She believed that this was probably due to the psychological trauma that Rosalie had left in her. That was why she was unconsciously nervous.
Her palms were soaked with sweat and her back was tensed. She sat there with her back straight and did not relax at all. Moreover, she didn't touch the steak on her plate anymore. It was as if she lost her appetite in an instant.
Grace smiled and looked at Rosalie, but said to Alice, "Alice, help her order the dishes and ask her what she likes."
Alice tensed up even more and turned to Grace for help.
Grace gave her an encouraging look.
Alice immediately turned to Rosalie and asked, "Madam, what would you like to eat? I'll order for you."
"There's no need," Rosalie said in a deep voice. "You don't have to please me. You won't be able to enter our house anyway."
The atmosphere instantly dropped to the freezing point again.
Rosalie's transparent announcement made everyone feel stifled.
Alice froze and her face was also extremely pale. She pursed her lips together and sat there, not knowing how to respond.
Given her temper, of course, she would knock out the person directly. However, that person was Jensen's mother. She was afraid that she wouldn't be able to control herself, and that she would be so angry that she would push her to death.
"Do you mean that Alice will not marry into your family?" Grace still asked with a smile.
"Let me tell you the truth," Rosalie said directly to Grace. "Your sister isn't a candidate to become my daughter-in-law."
"Okay!" Grace nodded and said, "I got it. Since you don't intend to ask Alice to enter your house, we don't necessarily have to enter either. We don't like rushing things and we don't really care." Hearing this, Rosalie frowned.
Jovane's eyes lit up. She was very excited and wanted to watch this bustling scene. She wanted to see how the situation would go.
"Very well. Consider yourself a perceptive person," Rosalie said, curling her lips. "You're much better than your sister."
"My sister is not bad either." Grace said in a deep voice, "She is righteous and sensible so she didn't do anything to you. If it were someone else, Alice would have beaten them down right away. She is a master of Taekwondo, but she knows to respect elders, especially her boyfriend's mother. At least she's well-bred."
Jovane was stunned and her eyes were shining with more excitement.
Rosalie's expression was very ugly. "Are you saying that I'm ill-bred?"
"Nope." Grace smiled faintly and said, "Why are you still anxious? I'm just talking about the matter. Why do you feel so guilty that you have to assume that it's you? It's nothing at all. Why are you so worried?" "Hmph!" Rosalie didn't stand it. "You're still a bit too naive to be so fake in front of me."
After thinking for a while, Grace continued to smile slightly and said, "I'm not fake, but it's necessary to maintain basic social etiquette and smile. Everyone in the workplace is clear about this. It's not convenien for us to vent our emotions at any time and any place, but it doesn't mean that we don't have feelings."
Rosalie was stunned again and the anger in her heart surged out. "Y-You dare say that I don't have a career?"
For the past few years, she had stayed at home and did not work.
When it came to her pain, Rosalie was so humiliated that she became angry, but she couldn't do anything about it.
Grace was very surprised. "I'm sorry. I just met you today. I don't know about your job situation. We're just talking about ourselves."
In the face of Grace's nonchalant smile, Rosalie was even more irritated. She would rather argue with others than face such a calm person. How could a young girl be able to face her and maintain her temper? Rosalie secretly took a breath and looked at Alice. Since Grace was so difficult to deal with, it was better to deal with her.
However, as soon as she looked at Alice, Grace realized that she wanted to talk to her.
Grace said naturally, "Since you don't like Alice and you think that Alice can't enter your house, we won't go in either. However."
Grace paused.
She looked at Rosalie and continued with a slight smile, "Jensen can enter the Smith family. Alice also has some shares in the Smith family. Along with mine, she will manage them after graduation. Jensen is a policeman and has limited income. It's just right. Alice can take care of him so that you can enjoy a good life without worrying about Jensen."
Splash! Jovane had just taken a sip of coffee, but she couldn't hold it back and spat it out.
"Er, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
Alice quickly took a piece of tissue and handed it to Jovane.
"Thank you." Jovane took it, wiped her mouth and said with a smile, "I didn't hold back. I'm sorry, I'm lacking in manners."
"It's okay," Grace said.
Rosalie's expression was very ugly. Her face was terribly distorted to the point that she no longer resembled herself. All sorts of emotions welled up in her heart and it was hard to see what exactly was happening.
Especially when she saw Jovane's actions, she immediately became even angrier and rolled her eyes at Jovane.
At that moment, Jovane said, "That's a good idea. It's true that Jensen can't make much money as a policeman. It's not bad if Alice supports him."
Alice was also astounded by Grace's words; they were really amazing.
She had to learn.
Rosalie said coldly, "You mean that my Jensen can be a live-in son-in-law?"
"I didn't say that." Grace said, "This phrase is not popular now anymore. It's normal for a man to live with a woman now. The one that has the ability would support them."
Rosalie stood up right away and looked down at Grace and Alice. "Jensen won't enter your house and neither will you enter mine. I won't agree to this marriage."
Grace looked at her and said, "If you don't agree, then so be it. It's okay to sit down and have a meal, isn't it? Why did you need to stand up?"
Rosalie looked at Jovane. "Jovane, let's go!"
Jovane had no choice but to wave her hand at Grace and Alice and left.
"Wait!" Grace said.
Rosalie frowned.
Grace said, "Since you don't agree to this marriage, we don't need to buy you coffee anymore. You can pay for your own coffee, but we'll treat Jensen's aunt." Jovane smiled and looked at Grace. She was not angry at all. She just wanted to see how Grace would react.
Rosalie's expression turned even uglier. Turning red, she growled in a low voice, "We don't need you to treat us. We'll pay on our own."
Grace responded with a smile, as if she didn't care.
Rosalie paid and pulled Jovane away.
"I want to go to the police station to replace Jensen and tell him that I was insulted today. It's such a great shame."
Jovane said, "Rosalie, if you go there and make a fuss, it will affect Jensen's image if his boss replaces out. How embarrassing it would be."
