True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 657
Seeing that Heinz had calmed down a little, Hermione said, "Mr Jones, please go back. I won't tell you where Grace is. I can tell you that she is very well but is in a bad mood now. Can you give her some time?"
"Chief Editor Lowe." Heinz said in a low voice, "Tell me where she is, but I won't bother her."
"I'm sorry." Hermione shook her head. "Forgive me, but I won't."
"Aren't you afraid that I won't be nice to you?" Heinz glared at her and said in a more serious tone.
"Mr. Jones, you will only make me feel that you are childish when dealing with problems." Hermione said steadily, "Think about the reason why Grace is avoiding you. You know very well what you have done that led to this. There is no point threatening me because you can't cover up the fact that you are being unreasonable."
After that, Hermione went inside the newspaper office.
She knew that Heinz was getting impatient, but she didn't want to keep him around for long. Grace was a woman who suffered because of him. If Grace continued to suffer, this would be outrageous. When Heinz saw Hermione turn around and leave, he immediately shot back, "Hermione, it's not difficult for me to replace someone!"
"Yes." Hermione stood at the door and turned to look at Heinz. "It's easy for you, Mr Jones, but why is Grace avoiding you? You ignore your mistakes and you think it's appropriate for you to bully a woman." Heinz frowned.
"Here's another advice," Hermione said. "A woman is willing to risk everything to marry you because of your relationship, and not your money. If you want to replace a woman who wants your money, there are plenty everywhere in the world, but Grace isn't one of them."
Heinz's frown deepened and he started to walk towards Hermione. As he walked, there was an aura of tension surrounding him.
Hermione was not afraid and said, "You don't have to pester me. What I can say is that, instead of getting angry, Mr, Jones, it's better to think about it and how you should be more truthful and show more respect for Grace."
"She told you?" Heinz squinted at Hermione.
Hermione didn't admit nor deny it. She just stared at him coldly and said, "Mr. Jones, your priority now is to restore the relationship between you and Grace. You should know very well in your heart that you aren't dealing with it, but instead you're making a fuss here. This will make Grace feel that you are still unwilling to let go of the past."
Heinz was taken aback by what she said.
Hermione smiled faintly and said, "I'll take care of Grace for you. Please show some magnanimity and manners, and give her some space." Heinz narrowed his eyes and said solemnly, "You'd better take good care of Grace. If anything happens to her, I'll hold you accountable." "Okay, no problem." Hermione smiled.
Heinz turned and left.
Hermione looked at his shadow and sighed. "It's not too late for him yet. I hope he can properly handle it soon." The Lawson family.
The Lawson family elders had already been discharged from the hospital and were now recuperating at home. When Lester arrived, he knocked on the door and went into the house. Seeing Lester, Pearlyn greeted him warmly. "Lester, what brings you here?" Pearlyn looked at her watch and said, "Shouldn't you be working at this time?" "Hello, Auntie." Lester was very polite. "How have you and Uncle Lawson been lately?"
"Nathan is exercising every day while recovering," Pearlyn said. "I'm doing fine as well. Right now, we're all determined to work out." "That's good." Lester smiled while trying to figure out how to talk about this matter.
Don't provoke the Lawson family's husband and wife. You have this to deal with. That's the root of the matter.
"Who is it?"
Just as she was speaking, Nathan's voice rang out from the room.
"It's Lester," Pearlyn said.
"Come in," Nathan said.
"Alright!"
Lester entered the house and saw that Nathan had recovered well. After a moment of hesitation, he still didn't know what to say. "Lester, you're here for something, aren't you?" Pearlyn could see through Lester's intentions.
"What's the problem? Just tell us."
"Mm, it's like this, Auntie." Lester took out an identity card. "This is our President's identity card. He's still married right now."
The two Lawson family elders were stunned for a moment before nodding. "He's married to Jodie. It's normal that he holds a married status."
"So," Lester smiled, "If the President wants to get married, his status needs to be changed. What do you think? Can you cancel Miss Lawson's account or provide some evidence of her passing?" Upon hearing this, the two elders' expressions changed and they stopped talking.
Lester felt awkward. "Uncle, Auntie, our president is going to get married."
"He's going to marry Grace, isn't he?" Pearlyn asked.
Lester nodded. "That's right, but in this state, there's no way to get the marriage certificate."
Pearlyn said nothing.
Nathan was hesitant too.
The three of them stared at each other with wide eyes. Lester discovered that the Lawson family's two elders were like this every time. They were always tangled and conflicted.
It was obvious that their daughter was gone, but they still wanted to hold the president back.
"Uncle, Auntie, let's see when we can proceed with it. I can help you run the procedures." Lester was no longer so polite. He looked at them and said, "I think it's been five years, so it's high time to make the cancellation."
"Lester, that's our daughter." Pearlyn sighed. "It's not that I don't want to cancel my daughter's account. It's that I'm just fantasizing that my daughter isn't dead. Maybe one day she'll come back."
"Auntie, if this continues, our president can't get married." Lester said, "If you don't want to cancel the account, you can only go through the legal procedures and go to the police station to get a death certificate issued for Jodie. Then, we will forcefully dissolve the marriage."
"I know you can do it." Pearlyn said, "You can do it yourselves. As parents, I really don't want to do it. I hope you can understand how we feel."
Lester was stunned. He was truly at a loss for words.
So you're preventing the president from getting married?
The Lawson family's two elders were truly frustrating.
Lester stood up and said, "Well, I'll go back to the president. We'll take care of this matter ourselves. Auntie and Uncle, take care of yourselves. I'll take my leave."
As Lester left, sighs immediately rang out in the Lawson family's living room.
"He's really going to get married." Pearlyn sighed. "Heinz's feelings for Jodie were not that deep."
"What's the point in thinking about it?" Nathan looked in the direction of the door with a dull look in his eyes. "Our daughter won't be coming back."
The two of them sighed together again.
Lester came out of the Lawson family home and drove away.
A taxi stopped at the door and a tall and slender-looking woman got out of the taxi. The taxi driver got out with her and helped with her suitcase from the trunk.
"Thank you," the woman said to the driver.
"You're welcome, Miss." The driver nodded slightly and looked at the woman again. He noticed her standing at the door with tears in her eyes. The driver was very surprised. "Young lady, are you okay?"
