True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 684
Jensen was startled. He had always been cautious, but he did not expect Queenie to have heard their conversation. It was not that he had anything to be afraid of. The only thing he was afraid of was that Alice would be hurt.
As expected, Alice was infuriated after hearing what Queenie said. She said bluntly, "Yes, I am Grace's younger sister, Alice Smith."
"It's understandable that you're defending your sister, but isn't it too much for you to defame Jodie like this?" Queenie retorted, "What's wrong with her risking her life to protect her love?" Alice's face darkened as she asked, "She can do anything for love, by hook or by crook."
"You are also willing to do anything for your sister, aren't you?" Queenie's face was looking very pale and she asked in a slightly flustered manner, "Did your sister ask you to come? Aren't you unscrupulous too that you said these hurtful words the way you did?"
"Oh." Alice replied with a raised voice, "From your perspective, I can be considered unscrupulous. We are only helping our own people. It's just that you lost in the end."
Queenie's face grew paler upon hearing Alice's words. She probably had never been so embarrassed in her entire life.
"You're really as eloquent as your sister."
"You can criticize me, but why do you have to judge my sister?" Alice said bluntly, "You are no different from the other people in the Lawson family. You are being unreasonable and entitled to. You all have delayed Heinz for so many years. After enjoying his generosity for so many years, you actually have the nerve to say all these."
"I think the reason Heinz called you Aunt Stone is simply because Jodie respects you. Now, you have nothing to do with each other. If you are too free, you should go and replace someone and introduce him to Jodie. Stop clinging to Heinz."
"Alice, don't say anymore," Jensen immediately stopped her as he did not want things to get too ugly between them.
"Jensen, you asked such a smart-mouthed woman like her to be your girlfriend. Aren't you afraid that you are cursing your parents?" Queenie asked in an unkind tone. There was provocation and disdain in her words as she was feeling extremely furious at this moment.
Alice gasped when she heard that.
Heinz also added, "Aunt Stone, Alice is still young. There is no need for you to argue with a little girl."
"Heinz, you are on your sister-in-law's side, but her words are too vicious."
"I can't compare to you," Alice retorted in a deep voice. "You have already done it yourself, and forced others to do it too. Yet you still want to stand on moral high ground and belittle others. I guess you people are probably the only ones in this world who can do it, right?"
"But you seem to forget that Jodie just managed to escape from the jaws of death. She didn't have an easy life all these years, but it was even harder for Heinz."
"No matter how hard it is, it can't change the fact that your sister was the third party," Queenie said with a raised voice. "This is indisputable. There is no doubt about it."
Alice was startled by her words.
Heinz's expression turned cold as well. "Madam Stone, please speak more politely."
"I'm already very polite," Queenie responded in a deep voice. "If you want to expose this matter and let everyone know, what do you think the comments would be like? Do you think they will criticize Jodie or Grace? Everyone will say that Grace is hundred percent the third party."
"Madam Stone." Jensen was enraged as well. He said angrily, "What you are doing now is intensifying the differences and making it even more impossible for everything to come to an end."
"You can't do it in this way even if you want to end the entire matter," Queenie replied. "The Lawson family is so weak now, but you, Heinz, are still trying to bully us. You forcefully took Jodie away and divorced her, and even let a brat like Alice come and make trouble. You all are actually the ones who don't want to end things."
Heinz's eyes turned cold and sharp as he looked at Queenie. He had lost the kind of respect he had for her previously. Smiling coldly, he said in a deep voice, "What do you all want? I will always entertain you until the end."
Queenie was also slightly stunned when she saw Heinz's expression change. Then, she looked at Heinz and said after a pause, "You all have cornered her. Jodie has even attempted suicide for you, but Alice is still making all these sarcastic remarks here."
Heinz looked at Queenie, expressionlessly, and asked coldly, "Is Jodie dead?"
"Of course not." Queenie said, "But who knows whether she will commit suicide again?"
Heinz's cold gaze swept over Queenie, and he said indifferently, "Then you should wait until Jodie is dead before telling me these things."
Queenie was dumbfounded.
Heinz looked at Jensen and Alice, and then said to Queenie, "You'd better be responsible for every word you say. I'm not afraid even if you expose the matters to the public. Be careful or I will sue the Lawson family for slander. Also, don't think that I would not know what happened to Jodie in Allsburg, even if you don't tell me."
"It's impossible for you to leave no trace at all. The real will never be fake and the fake can never be real."
Queenie was shocked by Heinz and said, "I really didn't expect you to be so heartless."
"To those who can never be satisfied, I can only get rid of them as quickly as possible," Heinz said coldly with a little twitch of his lips.
"It was all because of you that she got pregnant and miscarried, which is why she'll be unable to conceive in the future!" Queenie snapped.
Alice was stunned. What did she just hear?
She immediately looked at Heinz.
Jensen was also stunned by the news. They didn't know about this.
Heinz smiled coldly again and said, "I got very curious since you mentioned this. Originally, I didn't want to question anything, but now I begin to wonder if Jodie was really pregnant. If she was, didn't she need to undergo a health examination before she went to Alsburg? Will the hospital send a doctor who had not undergone a health examination to Alsburg to provide support and assistance?" Queenie's face instantly turned a ghastly shade of white.
The health examination was indeed necessary. Every staff member who was sent overseas by the hospital would have to undergo a comprehensive health examination before and after they departed and returned to the country respectively. Otherwise, they might be mix ups.
Could this really be false information?
Queenie realized that she seemed to have fallen into a deadly trap, and was unable to get out of it.
Heinz was looking at her coldly.
Queenie looked at Alice with resentful eyes. If it wasn't for this woman, such a quarrel would not occur that day. At least, Heinz would go and take a look at Jodie.
Alice could sense the anger in Queenie's gaze. There was a hint of sarcasm flashing in her eyes. Initially, she was also furious when she heard that Heinz had gotten Jodie pregnant and caused her to miscarry causing her to be barren. How big of a news that was!
However, when Heinz retorted, she suddenly felt that there was something wrong.
She must make Queenie speechless.
"Queenie, why aren't you saying anything?" Alice said, "Do you want to sue Heinz so that everyone would know? Then, we can all replace out together which year and day Jodie got pregnant."
Jensen also nodded and added, "This is not a small matter. Heinz, let's investigate it clearly. Otherwise, you'd be burdened by this unclear problem and you don't know when this might come up again."
"I have already hired the best detective agency to investigate this." Heinz looked at Queenie and said in a deep voice, "Madam Stone, please inform Jodie that I will investigate everything that happened to her in Alsburg thoroughly. If it doesn't match the facts you presented, I will pursue the matter immediately."
Queenie's face was drained of color. "This is what I heard from a colleague in the medical team. It shouldn't be fake," she said.
Alice's eyes flashed with a glimmer of light. "Her medical team colleague knows so much about it. Could she have been pregnant with her colleague's child? It's natural for her to feel lonely in a foreign country. Maybe they fell in love with each other!"
