In the airport lounge.

Grace was forced to go into the lounge.

Her body and her hair were covered in eggs. It dried down a little now. The egg on her face had solidified on her skin.

She felt very upset. This was the first time that she had been attacked so indiscriminately. It was truly a new experience.

She was in shock, and she had to admit that she had been really frightened.

In the face of such a direct attack, she had no ability to defend herself at all.

She even dragged Zachary, Tyler, and Hermione into this.

As she looked at them, she felt both apologetic and embarrassed. "Hermione, Zachary, Tyler, I'm so sorry to get you guys into trouble."

"Don't say that." Hermione didn't take what had happened to heart at all as she said, "Grace, this was an accident. There were so many of them who came over and started egging us. Even the bodyguards couldn't stop them in time. It's not your fault."

"It started because of me." Grace shook her head, feeling very dejected. "I really don't know who would do this to me."

Zachary started. "What happened today was really dangerous. Fortunately, we were there. If you had been alone, you would have been hurt even more badly. From this, it shows that we need to handle things better. We need to replace out who was behind this."

"I know." Grace nodded. "But I really don't know who it could be."

"Call the police," Zachary said. "Later, we will all provide proper statements and let the police handle it."

Hermione remarked. "We should also investigate in private and follow up on the matter."

Tyler then added, "And you shouldn't appear in public for the time being. You have to protect yourself."

"I agree with you, Mr. Henley." Hermione nodded in agreement. "You shouldn't appear in public until we know what's going on. Once we get to the root of the problem, you can then come out again." After thinking for a while, Grace did not answer and pressed her lips tightly together.

It was so unfair for her. She wasn't some public figure, and yet she couldn't go out in public. She was just a small reporter, but now she had become a public figure over this.

For the first time, she felt so wronged.

It was so unreasonable..

She could only nod.

She took out a tissue and tried to wipe herself.

Hermione immediately stopped her. "Grace, don't clean it off yet."

Stunned, she looked up at Hermione.

"The police haven't arrived yet," Hermione explained. "They have to see what happened to you to charge your attackers."

As they were talking, someone came into the lounge.

It was the police.

"Hello, Officer Charm sent us here. He's busy, so he had asked us to handle this."

"Officers, you're just in time." Hermione pulled Grace over to show them. "We were attacked for no reason. Please investigate this matter." "I'll have to trouble you all to give your statements of the incident." "Sure, no problem," Hermione replied. "We will cooperate with the investigation. Grace, tell them what happened."

"Okay." Grace nodded. She looked at the police and said, "I will cooperate with the investigation."

"Miss Smith, we roughly know about what had happened from Officer Charm. Taking your statement is just routine. I hope you can understand," the police officer in charge told Grace. "Yes, I understand." Grace nodded.

"Let's start then."

Ten minutes later, Grace briefly explained how she met Heinz, the birth of her children, and so on. She did not conceal anything at all.

Everyone listened with a solemn and astonished expression.

Suddenly, there was a commotion outside the door.

Grace looked in the direction of the voice and saw a tall figure standing there at the door, staring into the room in a daze.

It was Heinz.

When he arrived at the airport, he had stood at the door. Seeing the state Grace was in, he was furious. He wished he could tear the people, who had hurt her, apart.

He just stood there staring, and didn't dare to step forward.

He looked at Grace's pitiful look from a distance. Her hair was a mess and her face was covered in muck. His heart was aching.

Grace felt something odd and realized that Heinz had been staring at her.

At that moment, they looked into each other's eyes and felt an unspeakable emotion well up in their hearts.

After hesitating for a while, Heinz came over.

Tyler, Zachary, and Hermione looked at each other and said in unison, "Let's go out."

The police also left.

Soon, only Grace and Heinz were left in the room.

He stood there and his eyes were full of agony. After a long time, he said painfully, "Grace, I'm sorry."

She shook her head.

Heinz quickly walked towards her. The more he looked at her, the more painful he felt.

It didn't look that bad from the door, but when he got closer to her, it was so much worse.

The eggs were stuck to her face and hair; it was so dirty.

"Grace." Heinz's lips trembled again. He said softly, "I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I couldn't protect you."

He hated himself for being helpless at protecting Grace from harm.

Grace shook her head and replied, "I don't blame you. I know that this is the price I should pay for loving you."

Upon hearing this, Heinz's eyes narrowed.

With one swift move, he pulled Grace into his arms. Regardless of the mess on her body, he still hugged her tightly and whispered, "I'm sorry, I'm a horrible person. I should be the one going through this." "Let me go." Grace whispered, "I don't blame you. I really don't blame you. I only blame myself."

"Grace." Heinz held her in his arms and refused to let go. He said in a low voice, "When you say that, it feels like a knife is twisting in my heart."

"Heinz." She shook her head. "I am very sad. I know that if I love you, I have to pay a price, but I didn't expect the price to be so terrible. It's my fault for having such a low tolerance. I don't blame you, truly." The more she said this, the more miserable he felt. He held her thin and weak body in his arms. He hated himself for not being able to bring her happiness.

In his arms, Grace could smell a pleasant fragrance wafting from his body.

Compared with the stinking smell on her body, she felt so embarrassed.

She was too weak.

She sniffed and pushed Heinz away, as if she had made up her mind.

She stepped back slightly and saw that the egg on her had stained his shirt. It was a little dirty.

When she reached out her hand, she found that her hands were dirty too. She tugged her lips and said awkwardly, "Look, I've dirtied you too. You are clean and I am dirty."

"Grace!" Heinz shouted in a low and painful voice.

He could not bear to separate her from himself. This was a form of separation.
