True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 748
There was a burning pain in his face, which made Aaron stumble and almost lose his balance.
He stepped back a little and stood up straight. His glasses were knocked out of place. He pushed his glasses and straightened them up. Only then did he clearly see that it was Jodie who hit him. Aaron frowned and was rather surprised, but he did not show his anger. He just narrowed his eyes and asked, "Jodie, why are you here?"
His tone was hesitant, but his expression seemed to be calm, as if he knew the reason why.
It seemed like he must have guessed why she was there.
Jodie sneered. "Why am I here? Aaron, I want to ask you the same question too."
"You should ask Heinz instead of me," he said indifferently without showing any hint of apology or feelings at her appearance.
"Then, let me ask you." Jodie heckled angrily, "Why is my video on your computer? Why did you secretly keep my things and then ask me why?" "Indeed, I picked up that thing," Aaron said slowly. "I admit I have my selfish motives in keeping this thing. It was just a means of protecting myself."
"What are you protecting yourself from?" She knitted her brows and scolded, "I think you're up to no good."
He was not angry. He just calmly pointed out, "You came back to life. This is a relief. At first, I was very sorry about your death, but you didn't die. I felt relieved right away."
"Stop pretending to be such a 'responsible' person." She sneered, "I know what you're thinking. You don't have any good intentions at all."
"Jodie, be reasonable." He said in a husky voice, "You came back and looked for me again. You still want to maintain the same relationship with me, but after I saw this, I was no longer in the mood anymore." "Aaron, you are talking nonsense." She was infuriated. "On the night of our reunion in Alsburg, you lingered with me and said these things. Why didn't you say these when you slept with me?" "Disgusting," Aaron scoffed with contempt in his eyes. "If you didn't mention it, I wouldn't have felt so disgusted, but now that you have, I realized how disgusting you are. After watching the video of you with another man, do you know how much I regretted sleeping with you?"
Being humiliated, Jodie's face was pale and she felt very uncomfortable. It was the first time that she had been mocked by Aaron like this. He hated her so much.
This was a deep blow.
She raised her eyes and clenched her fists. Her eyes were sharp. She stared at him coldly and said, "If you regret it, why were you so enthusiastic in the beginning? You took the initiative, Aaron." She couldn't hold it in any longer and she threw herself at him.
Aaron lifted his foot hastily.
"Ouch!" Jodie's knee was kicked, and she suddenly knelt on the ground and looked at him in fear. Her knee bone was so painful that she could not bear it. She cried out again. "Aaron, you are so cruel."
"You're the cruel one." He stood in front of her and looked down at her; she was kneeling in front of him. There was a bloodthirstiness in his eyes, "Jodie, you still don't understand how bad and disgusting you are?" Aaron asked.
Jodie gasped in pain. He had almost broken her kneecap by kicking her.
She felt petrified and glanced at him in disbelief. He was so harsh, and his kick was so swift and fierce.
"When did you become so powerful?" She was astonished. She raised her head rapidly and gazed at him with doubt. How could he be so powerful?
Staring at the woman who was peering at him coldly, there was hatred, anger, and deep attachment in his eyes. However, his eyes flashed sharply, seeming stabbing at Jodie.
"There are many things that you don't know," he said, word by word. "After six years in Alsburg, everyone around you changed. If I didn't make any changes, how would I come back alive?"
"It's you, isn't it? You want Grace and Heinz to suffer, hence, you are scheming at them through my hands, right?" She questioned.
"I don't understand what you are talking about," he interrupted Jodie coldly.
"It's you." She was so sure.
As their eyes met, she could feel clearly how cold and fierce the eyes behind his glasses were.
He had changed.
He had become very resolute.
Jodie took a deep breath and said, "You hate me. You hate me for not being loyal to you. That's why you want to harm me through the hands of another."
"You are the one who wants to get rid of me by using another person." Aaron sneered and said, "You framed Grace and wanted to blame it on me, didn't you?"
"Aaron Clarke, you're making slanderous accusations against me," she retorted loudly. "It's you. You used the media's power to put Grace in the worst situation. You took Heinz down and abandoned me as well."
"You kill three birds with one stone and harm them through my hands. You let Heinz and Grace think that I am the mastermind behind this. In fact, you were the one who reaped the benefits. I was the one who got nothing but trouble."
"Jodie, you had an affair when you were with me. Everyone including Heinz knows about you," he said calmly.
She stared at Aaron blankly with a glimmer of light flashing in her eyes. "Do you hate me so much that you want to ruin me?"
Glancing at her keenly, he sneered mockingly.
He articulated, word by word, "I really hate you. You are badgering with me, although you obviously don't love me. You want to two-time me, but I still wanted to be with you for so long. In the end, you still don't appreciate me. I'm the one who hurt the most!"
Jodie was surprised.
"Shouldn't I hate you?" Aaron questioned loudly. "I hate you, but I have dignity. I will leave you."
"You!" She didn't know what to say.
"Jodie Lawson, you are so ruthless. You still want to drag me into the mire after I leave. Do you think you can achieve your motive by saying these words here to confuse them?" He looked around and his eyes were sharp and alert. "They are not fools!"
Jodie was also dumbfounded. She knew that there was monitoring equipment in this room. They must be keeping an eye on her.
She also paused slightly and said, "Aaron, you just said that to shirk responsibilities. I know what you think in your heart. You just want to blame everything on me. What wrong did I commit?" "You've not done anything wrong?" Aaron pointed at himself. "I have suffered in Alsburg for six years, but you had countless men in
Alsburg with you. You did not feel guilty at all, but you even lied to me about when you can return to the medical team. You didn't die six years ago. In fact, you lived very well. You have been very comfortable and have a love life. You couldn't live without a man. Jodie, you came back to seduce me and even said I took the initiative. You are really shameless."
