Candace burst out laughing suddenly.

A burst of creepy laughter when one heard it, one couldn't help but quiver.

Timothy's eyes were ablaze with anger. Furious, he stared at the woman in front of him, but he suppressed it and molded his face into expressionless.

He could only stare at Candace coldly, his eyes and facial expression dripping sarcasm and contempt as he glared at her.

Candace was still laughing, a laughter that could evoke one's endless hatred.

Timothy finally opened his mouth and chided in an icy-cold tone, "Just what are you laughing at?"

"I'm laughing at you for being such a dumba*s!" Candace said sarcastically, "There is no end to your stupidity, huh. Timothy, you are the silliest person in the world." Timothy's eyes were filled with wrath. He stared at Candace with his icy-cold eyes and said with a contemptuous smile, "So you're smart, but what did you get?"

"I have gotten a lot." Candace chuckled and refused to admit defeat. "I have everything that not every woman in the world can get."

Hearing this, Timothy's facial expression turned indescribable; it was very disdainful and filled with despise. "That's your self-righteousness speaking."

"No! I really got it." Candace chuckled. "I got your love and all your passion. Tell me, did I or did I not?"

"Shut up!"

"Are you mad because I am right?"

"You thought you were satisfied with what you got. In terms of material wealth, you didn't get much, and you didn't gain anything mentally and emotionally either. Obviously, Anderson couldn't satisfy all your needs, so you left him, and even abandoned your child, which angered Anderson to his death. You look as old as a seventy-year-old woman now." Timothy said, "When you and I stand together, everyone must think that you are my elder. Is this what you got?"

Candace was filled with disdain, but when she heard Timothy saying that she was his elder, she immediately frowned for a long time. "Look who's talking. You are not young anymore either, and you look very old. Don't pretend to be a young man."

"You know it very well deep in your heart. We both know that it is a fact, and you have always said what you don't mean."

Timothy could tell that Candace was a stubborn person, and she didn't want to admit it. But her genuine emotion was showing in her eyes, and she was furious.

Timothy knew Candace did not like being called old, but the fact was right in front of her. She was really old.

Candace curled her lips and said, "Timothy, I'm old, but you're still obsessed with me, agreed?"

"What makes you think that I'm obsessed with you?" Timothy asked. "Are you kidding? I still have feelings for you? Do you realize how disgusting and nauseating you are right now?"

Candace was silent for a while because of her delayed reaction. She seemed to be thinking about something.

"Nothing more to say?" Timothy said coldly.

Candace pursed her lips and tolerated for a moment. Suddenly, she smiled again, the corners of her lips slightly lifted.

"You have been single all these years. If you are still not over me, why didn't you get married?" Candace looked at Timothy sarcastically, as if she had found evidence.

Timothy smiled coldly. "How can I be single? I am a normal man. I have my own family, of course. Do you think I didn't get married because of you? Did you think I kept myself prim and proper for you?" Candace knitted her brows as if she was in disbelief. She said in a sharp voice, "You are not single? Are you married?"

Timothy said with a faint smile, "You heard me right, I'm married!"

Candace pursed her lips and replied, "That's impossible. How could there be no news about it?"

"Of course not." Timothy sneered and said, "My wife and I are like-minded, and we share similar values. Our marriage would certainly not be a topic for anyone to tattle about."

"It's impossible!" Candace shook her head and couldn't believe it.

"We have two sons from our marriage. My eldest son is eighteen, and my youngest son is sixteen."

When Candace heard this, she narrowed her eyes slightly and said with an abundantly cynical smile, "Have you rehearsed for this lie of a show?" "Whether I am lying or not, I don't need to explain to you. You and I both know that some things have passed, and there is no need to dredge them up again. I am not the kind of person who would die for love. I believe in moving forward."

Candace glanced at him and was sizing him up. The man standing in front of her was still as handsome as ever. He was a real man, except for the fact that he didn't really know how to dress. What a pity!

Candace's eyes tightened. "Are you really married?"

"Of course!"

"Oh, you didn't tell your wife about me, did you?" Candace asked again.

It seemed that Timothy didn't want to tell her, and he was losing his patience. "Hurry up and tell me, why did you ask me to come here?"

"What's the hurry? I have my reasons for asking you to come. You can call it reminiscing. Anyway, I don't have much time left." Candace looked up at the ceiling and sighed. "The doctor estimates that I have another two or three months left. There are not many days left."

"You have only yourself to blame. People like you shouldn't live too long, or you will hurt more people."

"Who have I hurt?" Candace chuckled. "Do you want to say that I have wrecked you and Anderson?"

"Did you not?" Timothy asked, "Anderson was a gentle and cultured man, but he died young because of you. So who did you harm after he died? That person probably won't have a happy ending either."

"Gentle and cultured? What a joke. How did you know that Anderson was a gentle and cultured man?" Candace asked. The moment she mentioned Anderson, her face filled up with anger. "What do you know?"

"I don't know anything, but I know what is shame!" Timothy said in a low voice, "You probably don't know the word 'shame', do you?"

"Timothy!" Candace sniggered. "Even if I don't know shame, you still love me. You've been thinking of me all these years. Didn't you talk about me to your wife?"

She smiled very acidly. The corners of her mouth were raised slowly, and her eyes were full of certainty. She felt Timothy was not telling the truth earlier and was lying.

"You called me here for the child who was in your belly, didn't you?" Timothy frowned and dodged her question. "Did you keep the child?

Tell me! I don't want to waste time no more."

"If you want to know, tell me in all truthfulness if you are married or not."

"I'm married, I've told you a hundred times. I'm married, and I have two sons."

Candace's eyes went downright cold. "If the child is still alive, will you take the child in?"

As they were talking, the door opened with a bang.

Grace walked in with a veil of an ice on her face.
