Soon, they managed to check all the available surveillance cameras along the alley. In almost all the videos, Alice could be seen to be in a hurry.

It could be seen that she had traversed the entire alley, but in the end, she still disappeared.

By the time they were about to come out through the other end of the alley, she still could not be found.

Heinz thought for a moment and said, "I have a feeling that Alice is still somewhere along this alley. Either that, or someone has taken her away in a car."

Jensen nodded and said, "There is another possibility. Perhaps she was taken away by someone whom she was familiar with, and that was why she did not alert anyone."

"We have to check the cars." Heinz continued, "We have to go through the surveillance videos one more time to check if there were any suspicious cars that passed by the two intersections during the time Alice was here."

Jensen immediately sent someone to check the surveillance cameras again.

The process took a while. As time went by, they began to feel anxious. It seemed that they could not replace a single clue.

At the same time, Jensen also ordered his men to inspect all the shops along the entire alley as well as the shops nearby in hopes that they would be able to replace Alice.

It was currently 12 o'clock midnight.

Alice was in a dark room. She had a headache. Her head felt like it was about to explode. She was currently blindfolded with her hands tied behind her back.

She was lying on her side on a bed. She could vaguely smell something pungent.

"Uh!" She opened her mouth and cleared her throat. She sounded a little hoarse.

She was in so much pain that her mind went blank.

She shook her head in hopes that it would get rid of the pain. Her mind then drifted back to earlier that day. She had lost her mother and she could not see her one last time. Jensen did not take her to see her. She was upset.

That was why she left the Charm family home and came to that alley by the school gate.

At first, she wanted to reminisce about the past. However, as soon as she arrived, she felt that it was very silly of her. She should not have come out. She wanted to head back home. However, as soon as she turned around, she could see nothing but darkness. Someone had blindfolded her with a towel. She had no recollection about what happened after that.

By the time she woke up, she still could not see anything. She was tied up and everything was pitch black. She had no idea what time it was. She began to feel a little uneasy. Who was it? Who had kidnapped her?

She was careless and did not prepare herself for any danger. She should not have gotten upset over her mother and neglected her own safety.

At that moment, Alice was truly frustrated and anxious.

She had no idea if Jensen would figure out that she had been kidnapped.

She struggled hard. She wanted to wriggle out of the binds around her hands.

However, the more she struggled, the tighter it became.

Suddenly, Alice could hear someone sneer. It was so clear, as if the person was right next to her.

Alice's heart suddenly skipped a beat.

"Who is it?" she asked quickly.

However, the person just smiled and did not answer her question.

Alice was startled. All she could see was darkness. A trace of fear slipped into her heart.

"Who the hell are you? Why did you kidnap me?" Her voice was very hoarse. Perhaps it was the lingering effects of having been drugged.

The kidnapper must have applied some chloroform on the towel. Alice felt a little uncomfortable at that moment.

She was a little vexed.

Then, she heard the person sneer again. It was very clear and she could tell that it was a man's voice.

Judging by the gruff voice, Alice was certain that it was a man.

"Who the hell are you?"

"Are you scared?" Xavier asked. His voice was low and very hoarse. It was as if he was using a voice modifier. "Who are you?"

"It doesn't matter." He continued.

Somehow, Alice could tell that this man was using a voice modifier to disguise his actual voice.

"I probably know you." Alice said firmly, "I most probably know you and that is why you had to blindfold me."

"I don't want to get into any trouble." Xavier continued.

Alice's body stiffened. Her entire body was tense. She straightened herself and tilted her head, trying her best to listen carefully to the man's voice. "What do you want?"

"Alice, I brought you here today to serve a warning. I'm warning you not to cause any trouble for Marry. She's about to be released soon."

Alice was shocked all of a sudden. "You must be one of Marry's goons." "No, no!" Xavier immediately denied. "I am not. I have nothing to do with her. I'm just warning you. I want you to relay this message to Grace as well. Tell her not to cause any trouble for Marry. Otherwise, there will be serious consequences. I will make you suffer."

"Who are you then?" Alice was very worried. However, when she heard this man mention Marry's name, she knew that this man was just trying to stand up for Marry. Although she was very worried, she also had a plan.

Xavier continued, "I want you to tell Grace and Heinz to have mercy on Marry and give up all the inheritance of the Smith family. In the future, we will not interfere with each other and live in harmony." "How is it possible? Marry has made my sister suffer so much. Xavier sneered again. He sounded a little crazy.

Alice's body stiffened slightly and she frowned in disgust.

"I'm thinking, would you still be able to head back to the Charm family if I did something to you? Will you still have the desire to go after the Smith family inheritance? Would you have to pay such a huge price in order to be satisfied?"

A strange aura lingered on Alice's nose. She held her breath and frowned.

Xavier held Alice's chin tightly. The next second, his lips met hers.

In an instant, Alice struggled violently and turned her head to avoid him.

The man did not force her, but he warned her. "Don't test my patience. If I can catch you now, there's bound to be a next time."

Alice was shocked.
