True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 976
Miranda was positive that the moment she signed the divorce papers, she could no longer be with Diego.
She insisted that if she didn't sign it, she would still be Diego's wife.
Upon hearing her words, Peter advised her again, "Madam Scott, you should think carefully. Don't make things worse."
"I've made up my mind. You don't have to remind me again. If Diego wants me to sign it, he can sue me because I will not agree to it." At this point, Miranda had made up her mind.
Peter nodded as he answered, "Very well. Since this is your choice, I will report it to Mr. Quell."
"Do what you want," Miranda replied firmly.
The butler gave the bodyguards a look, and they immediately let go of Miranda.
Having been freed, Miranda immediately rubbed her sore arms.
Then, the others left the room.
Miranda remained in the room. She couldn't leave just yet.
She didn't know whether Diego had gone back to the capital city or somewhere else.
Miranda felt that if she did not sign the divorce papers, Diego would undoubtedly come back to look for her.
She would wait for him as she believed he would want to see her, especially given the situation.
When Peter exited the room, he dialed Diego's number.
"Sir, Madam Scott refuses to sign the papers."
Diego replied, "I'm not surprised. I'm sure she has her own agenda."
"Sir, she wants you to sue her instead," Peter responded. "If you file for a divorce, it will badly impact your reputation."
"I'm not afraid of her," Diego spoke. "A divorce won't affect me. Instead, I'm more worried about that unscrupulous woman insisting on staying with me. Who knows that one day, she would murder me and I would die a miserable death."
"So, are we really going to sue her?"
"Bring in the lawsuit," Diego stated. "I'm on my way to visit Marry now. If you're free, come with me to the detention center."
"Alright."
After the phone call, Diego quickly got into the car.
Meanwhile, Heinz had just arrived home. Just as he was about to enter the house, he received a phone call from Diego.
"Heinz, I'm going to see Marry. You should come with me."
"Got it, Uncle Diego," Heinz immediately agreed.
At the detention center.
As soon as Diego arrived, the prosecutor had also shown up after receiving the news.
"Mr. Quell, you're here!" the prosecutor exclaimed.
"I hope that you can handle matters without bias. I will keep an eye on it. If you behave inappropriately, I'll sign a complaint against you," Diego warned.
"Boss, don't worry. We will handle it accordingly."
"Someone used my name for her own motives to bypass the law and forced you to make an exception. If your subordinates crossed the line for this, I hope you can investigate it," Diego continued. "Yes, I will."
Soon after, Diego met Marry in the detention center.
Only Heinz was allowed to visit Marry along with Diego.
Marry had been locked up in prison for several months, and she was on the verge of having a breakdown. Thus, she was very surprised to hear that someone was coming to see her.
She was brought out of the room in a trance. The moment that she saw Heinz, she immediately cussed, "Heinz, d*mn it! Why aren't you dead yet?" Heinz glanced at Marry and ignored her. Diego frowned as he gazed at her. He instantly had a bad impression of her.
As expected, she was not a good person.
"Who is he?" Marry pointed to Diego and asked impolitely. "Where did this old man come from?"
Heinz looked at Diego and silently asked for his opinion as to how he should answer her question. Diego did not give any indications.
Hence, Heinz remained silent. He simply stared at Marry calmly, which made her even more anxious.
Marry was covered in dirt from head to toe, seeming to be filled with rage.
"Hey, I'm talking to you. Who are you?" Marry looked at Diego as she spoke. She didn't know him, but anyone who came here with Heinz was probably not on her side.
Diego took a seat before he looked at Marry and said, "Please take a seat, Miss Smith." "Who the hell are you?" Marry sat opposite Diego as she regarded him carefully. "Hey, can you say something? Don't be silent. It really annoys me."
"Your mother, Miranda, kidnapped someone for your sake," Diego finally responded to her. In fact, he wanted to tell Marry off about her attitude.
Her first reaction could be used to judge whether she was good-natured.
"My mother?" Marry pointed to herself and laughed sarcastically. "How could she possibly kidnap someone for me? Who did she kidnap?"
"Alice," Diego replied.
Hearing this, Marry was stunned as she turned to gape at Heinz. Then she laughed again. "Haha! Did she kidnap Alice? That's great! Did she kill her?"
"Do you want her dead?" Diego met Marry's gaze and asked.
"Of course." Marry replied truthfully, "I want both Alice and Grace dead. If you meet my mother, please tell her I hope she can kill both of them. Only then can I vent my anger."
Diego narrowed his eyes, and a hint of disgust flashed across them.
It was indeed appropriate for such a ruthless woman to be imprisoned in the detention center.
He looked at her blandly and continued, "Sorry to tell you that Miranda isn't that powerful. We have already discovered what she's done. She won't be able to live a good life."
Marry raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "Is that so?"
She did not take it seriously.
Diego then said to Heinz, "Heinz, let's go."
"Okay, Uncle Diego." Heinz nodded.
Diego stood up and was ready to leave.
Just then, Marry suddenly slammed her palms on the table and screamed, "Hey, who are you? You haven't introduced yourself! Heinz calls you uncle, so are you his uncle? Are you a Jones? As far as I know, Heinz's grandfather, that old b*stard, doesn't have a son. Who exactly are you? Are you a random relative that Heinz met somewhere?"
"You're right." Diego smiled softly and uttered, "I'm his random relative."
"You came to see me just to tell me that my mother has kidnapped them?" Marry immediately became suspicious and questioned, "That's it?"
"Yes, that's it."
"Well, looks like you've got a lot of time on your hands, old man. Don't you have anything else to do? How funny." Marry sneered and added, "I hope you get run over by a car when you leave!"
