Heinz was startled too and felt a little dreadful. He looked towards the door for a moment before he finally walked towards it.

Grace took a deep breath and proceeded to tidy up her appearance as she sat up from the bed.

When Heinz opened the door, he saw a little figure with an awkward expression.

Little Gary looked a little embarrassed as he asked, "Are you done massaging Mommy? If so, can you free yourself up for a moment?"

Heinz nodded, "You came just in time. I just gave your mommy a massage. If you came any later, we would probably have gone to bed."

Little Gary checked the time, "It's only about nine o' clock now. It would be normal for mommy to rest earlier since she's pregnant, but you're a man. If you're so weak that you have to rest at this hour, you should reflect on yourself. Now, I'm worried over your capability to grow old with Mommy."

Heinz almost choked.

This little guy was too sharp-tongued.

"So what can I help you with?" He remained patient, "Let me know quickly, otherwise I'm going to rest now since I'm so weak."

Being criticized like this, he felt a blow to his self-esteem, but there was only so much he could say to his son.

Little Gary frowned, "Let's talk in the study room."

Heinz turned to take a look at Grace.

She gave him an encouraging look, as if to say, "Just go ahead. After all, Little Gary has been pleading for quite awhile now."

He then went to the study room with Little Gary.

Inside the room, there were only the two of them.

The little guy was seemingly still worried about being eavesdropped on, as he quickly ran over to close the door.

Heinz glanced at him nonchalantly as he took a seat behind his desk in a relaxed posture. He looked ready for whatever Little Gary wanted to talk about.

"So what do you want from me? You've been keeping it to yourself for the whole night already."

"You could tell?" Little Gary was shocked as he glared at him.

"Was it supposed to be hard? I could already tell based on how you kept trying to approach me," Heinz smiled lightly.

How would he not be able to see through his thoughts?

"Hey, Old Heinz, you are so unreasonable. Why did you still avoid me if you knew I was looking for you? You ignored me for such a long time. Can't you realize how worried I've been? Aren't you doing this on purpose?"

Heinz nodded calmly, "Yes, I did it on purpose."

Little Gary froze as he frowned at him, "So you have been trying to seek revenge, have you?"

"That's right. You mean you couldn't tell before this?" Heinz admitted, "I don't mind if you want to think of it this way."

"You're really mean," Little Gary came to his senses. "I can't believe you've set a trap for me."

Heinz shrugged, "It's not like you address me as your dad anyway. Does it really matter if I attempted to seek revenge?"

"Heinz, you're such an evil person." Little Gary accused him angrily, "The more you threaten me, the more unlikely it is for me to address you as my dad. I hate being threatened."

"I never expected you to call me dad anyway. It's up to you. Just keep in mind that there's karma, so your child might treat you the same way you are treating me now. I look forward to the day I can laugh at the treatment you'll receive from your kids," Heinz said indifferently, "So, let's get straight to the point. Why were you looking for me?"

Little Gary hesitated for a moment before asking, "Did Mommy receive a call from my teacher?"

"Why are you asking me instead of your mommy?" Heinz held back his laughter and asked, "If you already have your suspicions, why are you still asking me about it?"

Little Gary rolled his eyes. After a long while, he blurted out, "Mommy is pregnant. I don't want to risk upsetting her."

"Why did you think that your mommy would be angry about it?" Heinz asked patiently, "Could it be because you did something bad and felt guilty about it?"

"Answer me first. Did my teacher call Mommy?" Little Gary had not forgotten about his main objective.

"I don't know," Heinz said, "It wasn't a phone call for me anyway, so how would I know about it?"

"Meaning Mommy did receive a call, but you didn't hear anything so you can't confirm if it was indeed my teacher?" Little Gary was really bright; he managed to capture the essence of his message immediately.

Heinz was secretly shocked. This little guy was extraordinarily smart.

He smiled, "I suppose you could say so."

"How did Mommy react?"

"Haven't you observed just now?" Heinz asked, "Your mommy has always looked the same to me so far."

"It must be a call from my teacher. I noticed that you and mommy were targeting me," Little Gary claimed.

"I don't understand. Why are you so relentless about this? What are you feeling guilty about?" Heinz stared at his son.

"You wouldn't understand anyway," Little Gary said, "Since Mommy did not say anything, I will pretend that nothing happened as well. You were right. I don't have to feel guilty since I did nothing wrong. In fact, think I've been doing well."

"You mean bullying a girl is considered doing well?" Heinz was shocked at how thick-skinned his son is.

"Wow, it looks like I guessed correctly after all," Little Gary smiled like a cunning little fox, "So my teacher did call Mommy to talk about how I bullied Maria in school." "Maria?" Heinz said, "So that little girl is named Maria? Is that the girl you like?"

"What?" Little Gary waved his hand and said, "Don't put it that way. I'm still young okay? Don't associate me with a term like "puppy love", I'm just an innocent kid."

Heinz stared at him, "After worrying for the whole night and approaching me repeatedly, are you really saying that all you wanted to do was to prove your innocence?"

"Yes, I've always been a pure, innocent child okay? It's only you adults who are trying to paint me in such a bad light. Don't pollute my mind okay?" Little Gary looked at Heinz with disgust, "Meanwhile, it's so easy to tell that you constantly had affairs here and there, even getting together with Mommy after your divorce. You are the one with an impure heart."

Heinz felt so close to vomiting blood.

"Then why did you even come to me?"

"It has been proven that you can still be useful after all, but I'm sick of this game already. I'm going to bed. I don't want to talk to you anymore."

Little Gary turned around and left as soon as he was done.

Heinz looked at his back and asked loudly, "So will you invite that friend of yours, Maria, to come over tomorrow?"
