Twisted Ties of Love
Chapter 415

Due to a few tweets from Brad, folks online started bashing Kristin.

Even average Joes, who used to have a soft spot for her, began to see her in a negative light.

Kristin wasn't having any of it; but she was at her wit's end. Everyone was buzzing about it, her company's boss was replaced, her agent, Graham, was nowhere to be seen, and even her assistant, who was usually her sounding board, was absent.

Brad had the gall to say he was going to break the contract with her, which would bar her from returning to the set.

If she can't go back to the set, she won't let those on it have it easy, either. She's already lost enough, so she'd just drag on the lawsuit to keep Brad from filming.

Then there's Izabella. With her in the picture, Kristin can't rest easy.

When she got agitated, her leg hurt, stirring up memories that haunted her.

Looking at her scarred leg and missing toes, Kristin clenched her fists. She's not the Kaley Cornett of three years ago anymore, and she's Kristin, with a new look, 50 million fans, countless awards, and record- breaking ratings.

To her, she's like a phoenix risen from the ashes.

She hadn't defeated Izabella in her "past life," but she refused to believe she couldn't do it this time.

Kristin caressed her foot and rested her face on her knees. Her eyes gave off a scary vibe.

After settling her contract, Izabella headed off to the set. She even turned down Casey's dinner invite. Seeing her insist on returning to the set's hotel, he offered to drive her.

Just as they were about to leave, a call came in. After taking the call, Casey looked upset.

Walking behind him, Izabella saw his distress and said, "Go do your thing, don't worry about me. I can cab it back to the set."

Getting a cab there was no trouble, and she was in no rush to get back to the set.

Casey shook his head, got in the car, and said firmly, "I'm driving you back to the set."

Izabella stood outside, not moving, "Who was that on the phone?"

"My mom. She wants me to come home."

"Then you should go."

"I don't want to. It's never anything good."

Izabella didn't know much about Casey's family, just that his mom was Brett's aunt, and they were from the prestigious Dempsey family.

"If she's calling you home, she must have a reason. You won't know it's nothing good until you go. With jobs like ours, we hardly get a chance to go home." Unlike her, who no longer had a home to return to. Izabella closed the car door, took a few steps back, and waved at Casey in the car, "Drive safe."

Casey had no choice but to buckle up, "Text me when you get back to the set."

Izabella nodded and smiled, "Will do."

After watching Casey drive off, Izabella hailed a cab. It was already 5 pm when she got back to the set from Spring Bay. She didn't forget to text Casey.

She wore a mask, texted, and headed to the hotel.

Casey had told her that her bodyguard would arrive tomorrow, so it'd be best for her to stay indoors tonight, preferably in public places with lots of people. After checking into the hotel, she shouldn't go out and should order room service.

Izabella had thought of all this herself, but Casey reminded her again in his text.

When Izabella got to the hotel entrance, she saw a few suspicious-looking young girls lurking nearby.

Judging by their appearance, they were probably underage schoolgirls.

These girls were obviously here in an organized manner to wait for her. Once they confirmed they got the right person, they charged at her, yelling, "Izabella, you're evil, drop dead!"

Izabella had noticed them early on, so she had called hotel security ahead of time.

The security guards were well-trained and clearly no strangers to situations like this. They immediately stepped in to stop the girls.

The girls were holding knives and seemed fearless. Even after being subdued, they didn't show fear. Instead, they loudly insulted Izabella. "Because of you, my sister got fired from the set. Why are you still alive, you disgusting creature!"

"You bullied my sister, and I won't let you off the hook!"

"We're minors, and we'll wait for you here every day, just you wait!"

"You better watch out, don't get hit by a car!"

The security guards were taken aback. The girls' words were like those of gangsters, openly threatening someone in front of so many people. "I'm really scared."

The girl with the knife sneered at Izabella's response, "Good, you know to be scared. Be a good girl, quit the show yourself, or we'll come replace you on set every day!" Izabella gave a small smile, then slowly dialed 911.

She called the police in front of everyone and had them take the girls to the station.

At the station, the girls were still rowdy. Clearly, Kristin's influence had totally corrupted them.

They loudly declared that minors were protected by law and wouldn't face consequences even if they misbehaved.

Hearing their words, Izabella could only laugh, "You're right. Even if you did something, you wouldn't end up in jail."
