Chapter 160

Connor walks to Leilani's side, wrapping his arms around her.

"I will officially introduce your new Luna and new future alphas tonight at the party"

Harvey looks at Connor in disappointment.

"How did you know?"

"After knowing you for twenty-seven years, I think I know what you would be planning. I was going to tell you to do the same thing anyway until I saw the payments to the event hire" Harvey grumbles under his breath.

"I thought you weren't meant to be working"

Connor laughs as he pats his friend on the shoulder.

"I just didn't want to talk to you so I checked first to avoid the conversation"

Harvey just shakes his head, but looking at Connor's smile and the joking attitude that has been missing for the longest time, he doesn't even care about the insult. Because it is good to have Connor back, the real Connor, not the sad and brooding Connor. Connor walks forward keen to show Leilani around the stormy pack once more. It has changed a lot in the time since she has been gone. It is what has kept him busy in this time without her, but it still is something that he is incredibly proud of and, since it is her new home and she is one of the leaders now, nothing will make him happier than showing his life-long work to the love of his life.

Connor stops as the dead weight of Leilani holding his hand, putting puts an anchor on his fast walk. Leilani eyes a car that has pulled up, an excited squeal leaves her lips as she views the tiny woman get out of the passenger seat, the suspension of the driver's seat is sitting low. She knew who was in the car before she saw Andrea but that just confirmation.

Leilani instantly releases Connor's hand and runs forward. She hasn't seen these two in two whole years. She hasn't seen these two since she has been walking, She was only just out of her coma, the only time that they had come to visit her. Andrea had been so worried and they had tried to stay away as Lani requested, but Andrea didn't believe the boys when they told her Leilani was awake. She was sure everyone was just lying to make her feel better, she had to see Lani with her own eyes..

Andrea goes back straight to the back seat and gets out a rather large one-year-old. If it wasn't for his wobbly steps, anyone would think he is the same age as the twins, having all of Titan's size already.

Andrea has always wanted children but she was scared of the environment that they are in, that it won't be the best for the child, that there is too much sadness around and not sure that she can devote enough time to her own child while looking after all the others that need it as well.

But going to the fusion pack that day, seeing the love that surrounded those twins through all the adversity, even without the best conditions. It is still a lot better than they all ever had growing up and as long as there is enough love to give those children, they can promise safety. It let go of all her fears and she finally took that plunge and had a child of her own.

Andrea was so large trying to carry Titan's baby that her belly was nearly as big as Leilani's was carrying the twins. Andrea is more than satisfied with one, as she is positive her body cannot handle another.

This is the first time that Leilani will get to see Geremy in real life, only ever seeing him through a video call through a video call and she is beyond excited.

Connor just stands back smiling. He had to make a special invite to the party. He wanted Leilani to be happy, he wanted her to feel at home.

He wants everything to be perfect for her because it is all perfect for him.

Leilani runs up to Andrea but stops short as the wobbly toddler struggles on his large legs. Leilani scoops Geremy up.

"Ohh baby, look how gorgeous you are"

Titan joins his mate beside the car and watches Leilani embrace his precious child. There are some moments in life that he feels like he has truly done right in his life and this is one of those moments.

Andrea squeals and runs toward Leilani after she has had a single moment with Geremy, tears brimming in her eyes. Titan quickly snatches Geremy out of Lani's arms before Andrea squashes him in the bone-crushing hug that she gives Leilani. "I am so happy to see you, I'm so happy to see you walking and I'm so happy to see you finally with your love"

"I'm happy too Andrea. I'm genuinely happy"

Leilani turns in Andrea's embrace and looks back at Connor, a large smile on her face as she watches the handsome man just smile as he watches her right back.

Connor walks forward to join the group as Lani waves him over. The last time he saw these two was in less than ideal conditions. He was desperately pleading. He hadn't slept in days. He was tired and he was dishevelled.

He was on his knees and pleading with them. He isn't embarrassed about the fact at all. He is never embarrassed about his desperation to get Leilani back because he would do it all again just the same.

In a car heading towards the stormy pack Ryan sits in the driver's seat. Adrian sits in the passenger seat and Jameson in the back.

"Now both you boys have to keep an eye out for your mates"

Ryan rolls his eyes at his father. Adrian has been droning on and on about mates and it has been getting progressively worse.

"I'm in no rush to replace my mate dad"

"Why? A mate is important for an alpha. It is important for your life"

"Because it worked out so well for you?"

Adrian sighs as he looks out the passenger window, wringing his hands together.

"Don't let my experience sour your idea of mates"

"Before all that happened, believe it or not, we were happy. I think at the start either I wasn't pushing enough or she thought she could get better, but I think she was happy throughout those years, and no matter what, I'm thankful because I have you and your brothers at the end of it"

Ryan just grimaces and Jameson chimes in from the back with a crafty smile on his face.

"Don't worry Adrian. I will try my hardest to replace my mate"

"Good job Jameson, and make sure you take Ryan along for the ride"

Jameson just smiles. Adrian is the dad that everyone wishes that they could have. It is no wonder that Ryan turned out to be such a good person. Adrian just accepted Jameson with open arms and has become more of a father figure to Jameson than his own father Ryan pulls up in the middle of the large number of cars that are already starting to pile up outside the stormy pack. He knows this celebration is going to be big and he is just happy to be included.

He was never sure whether Connor would look past what happened between him and Gabriel and wasn't sure whether the relationship between the half moon and the stormy pack was even repairable, but Connor does not hold grudges and has been helpful along every step of the way. Ryan looks up to Connor a lot.

Connor looks over. Seeing the representatives from the half moon pack pull up. He whispers in Leilani's ear to let her know. Leilani nods and points Titan and Andrea in the direction of the others before grabbing Connor's hand and leading him to Gabriel. "Gabriel, Ryan and Jameson are here. Do you want us to come over with you?"

Now that Leilani has Connor by her side, she realizes how much of a fool she was and has become a firm advocate in facing ones problems head on. Ignoring the issue isn't going to make it go away. Gabriel looks from Leilani to Connor.

"Would you mind?"

Connor shakes his head slightly and the couple turn and walk with Gabriel keeping close beside them. Gabriel has had a lot of time to reflect over the years. For the first nearly five months when he was treated like a prisoner, he didn't feel much of anything, just hate and abandon, but after the birth of the twins Gabriel really evaluated, he saw value in things he never thought he would care about. Instead of seeing Ryan as a rival, he suddenly had an urge to have a brother, to have a real family.

Ryan sees Connor walking toward them, his eyes move to Connor's beautiful mate and then they narrow on a man that he thought he would never see again. Jameson stiffens beside him and Adrian is just busy staring at Leilani. She is beautiful, no wonder Connor held out such hope for her.

Ryan has no idea how to react to the change in situation. The last thing he wants is for a fight to start on stormy pack lands but he will not just hand over the half moon pack if Gabriel asks for it back.

The three stop walking and stand in front of the other three who are still standing stationary near their vehicle. Leilani smiles.

"I am Luna Leilani..."

Connor's heart swells. That is the first time he has ever heard her address herself with her new proper title. It is exciting. Leilani doesn't even realize that her mate is smiling ear to ear from her few simple words as she indicates to Gabriel. "....This is Gabriel Hutchins, the brand new alpha of the fusion pack, and your half brother"

Gabriel takes a deep breath in and extends a hand in greeting, it hangs in front of Ryan, there are five bated breathes. This is the moment that matters. Ryan's reaction matters. Ryan is shocked, but as he assesses Gabriel, as he looks from the extended hand to the sincerity in his eyes, he knows that wherever Gabriel has been hiding in these years, that he has changed a lot.

Ryan extends his hand and places it in the mans, closing his grip and smiling.
