Twisting Her Fate
Chapter 25

In the half-moon pack Maggie walks with confident steps straight out of the pack house. Gabriel is in his study with a big pile of work to do, so she knows that he won't be out for a while.

Maggie is always dressed in expensive clothing, always showing off her best assets, and today is no exception. She is carrying a small bag with her as she walks straight to the door of the dungeons. The guards on duty are used to her coming by. Gabriel has made it clear on many occasions that Maggie is going to be the Luna, so even without her mark, or the official status, she has been given all the rights of the Luna, she is allowed entry without question to any place in the half moon pack, her power only second to Gabriel's. "Luna"

The two warriors nod at her, it is only a matter of time before she is, so they already refer to her as such. Every time she hears the word, it strokes her ego to the extreme. She stands on her tip toes and kisses each warrior on the cheek, pressing her ample br*asts heavily into their chests in the process.

Over the years of being part of the half moon pack there aren't many pack members, men and women, that have not passed through Maggie's and Gabriel's bed. So these two are not unfamiliar with Maggie's touch. She is a frequent visitor to the cells and she acts the same way each time. They know the next words well because they have heard them so many times before.

"There is no need to let the Alpha know about this"

They both nod, but Gabriel rarely cares about what Maggie is doing. So even if they decided to tell him, he wouldn't even care. It makes their lives easier if they just let her do whatever she wants.

One of the warriors opens the heavy doors to the cells and Maggie walks in. As soon as she enters, she closes the large soundproof door behind her, sealing herself in. The sweet seductive smile falling off her face and warping into a malicious grin. She faces the cells and walks forward with confident steps to stand in front of a cell. Inside sits a beautiful girl with vibrant red hair. Maggie looks at her with a sneer on her face, every time she sees her she just wants to rip apart her beautiful face.

Karina looks up at Maggie with big green eyes. That is another reason that Maggie can't stand her. Karina looks back down and the dirty concrete, her finger continuing to draw patterns in the thick layer of dust.

"Have you learned your lesson yet b*tch?"

"I really didn't do what you think I did"

"What do you think I think you have done?"

"I did not steal your necklace"

Maggie cackles and the sound echoes off the walls of the otherwise empty dungeon space. It sends a heavy shiver down Karina's spine.

"Of course I know you didn't do that"

Karina looks up at Maggie, her big beautiful eyes full of hope, her gorgeous face is pale and, even with the smears of dirt on it, still looks beautiful and makes Maggie feel inadequate. Maggie hates feeling inadequate. "So I can get out of here?"

A single finger runs down the strip of concrete in between each set of silver bars, Maggie's expression is unnaturally calm but there is so much viciousness in her gaze. Maggie calmly opens the bag that she bought along with her, her slender fingers clasping the worthless necklace and throwing it through the bars.

"Here you might as well have the thing that you were accused of taking"

Karina stares at the necklace in her hand with a hint of confusion.

"Why would I want it? Now that you found it and I have been found not guilty of the crime, I can leave"

"Ohh dear, you are guilty of a crime"

"But you have the necklace?"

"I always had the necklace and I was the one that framed you for it"

Karina looks at Maggie in horror, not understanding what she did to provoke the woman to do this and why she is coming clean now.

"I.....I don't understand"

"It is simple, you are guilty but the necklace has nothing to do with it"

"But what did I do?"

Karina does her work earnestly, she is only an omega and she has been part of a small team of four that look after all the duties of the pack house for the last seven years.

"You are just going to keep denying it?"

Karina is combing her memories for anything she may have done wrong. She can only shake her head. She cleans and then goes back to her small house that she shares with two others. Beyond that, she doesn't do anything else.

"I don't know what I did"

Maggie looks at the innocent green eyes that are filled with confusion. How could she not know what she did? Maggie is furious, Maggie's calm voice is gone as she screeches.

"You are trying to steal Gabriel from me"

Karina's eyes widen in fear as she shakes her head. Everyone knows how possessive of Gabriel Maggie is.

"I would never"

"I saw you"

Maggie's screech is so loud that it is ear splitting. Karina's mind runs through any possible scenario but she has very little intersection with Gabriel. Barely even talking to the man, even trying hard to avoid getting roped into their bed parties.

But in Maggie's mind she is running through all the instances in her head, a smile from Gabriel when the pretty girl walks passed, an intentional brush past by Gabriel, a look back at her. Karina cleaning the study while Gabriel was inside and when Karina left Maggie noticed that Gabriel was hard as rock under the desk.

"I.......I didn't"

"Shut the f*ck up b*tch I saw you, how dare a filthy peasant like you think you can steal my name, you are nothing, you are less than nothing"

Maggie enters the cell screaming, her claws extend and she slices Karina's face over and over. Maggie's maddened scream actually overtaking the screams of pain from Karina.

Maggie finally delivering the fatal blow as her claws rip across Karina's chest, blood splashing over Maggie and finally the dungeon returns to silence. A calm smile gracing Maggie's face as she looks at the dead body on the floor.

Maggie calmly walks back to her bag, grabbing the wet wipes out of it and unhurriedly wiping the blood off her skin before walking to the door of the dungeons and summoning the warriors. They stand in front of the cell, the dead body lying face down on the ground as the puddle of blood extends, draining ever so slowly over the dust-covered concrete floor.

"She went crazy, she pulled out the necklace that she stole, I had no idea that she kept it this whole time. She offered it to me and when I asked why she did it, she just started screaming that she wanted to give her life a penance. I couldn't open the cell fast enough to get to her, I couldn't save her, she did this to herself"

Big fat tears roll down Maggie's beautiful cheeks. The warriors stare in disbelief at the quiet girl that they thought wouldn't hurt a fly. They couldn't believe it when she stole the necklace. Now to do this to herself? It is true what they say, the more beautiful the more crazy. They don't doubt Maggie's story for a second.

"What do we do now?"

Maggie cries harder.

"Ohh I never should have come to visit her, this is all my fault. I just wanted to know where the necklace is. I got it from my mother and it means a lot to me"

One of the warriors pats her on the shoulder in a comforting manner.

"It is fine"

Maggie nods solemnly.

"We will just get rid of her. No one needs to know what she did. Our last respect to her is to keep her reputation"

"That is very kind of you Luna. Do you want me to inform the alpha?"

"No need, he has probably forgotten she is even down here"

Maggie watches as the warriors load the body straight into the crematory. Watching as the evidence goes up in flames. A small smile plays on the edges of Maggie's lips as she watches the fire wrap around the once beautiful girl. The warriors move back to their post as Maggie stands and watches the flames, speaking to the girl that is turning to dust in front of her.

"That is what you get for trying to steal a man from me, you peasant b*tch, an omega isn't even worth sharing the same air as me, let alone my man"

Gabriel is informed of the elite squad's imminent arrival and tries repeatedly to get in contact with Maggie. He searches the regular places for her before his phone finally rings. Maggie finally returning his call. "Maggie"

"What is it baby?"

"Where have you been?"

"I have just been out swimming. I am sorry my love"

"Just get your a*s back here, the elite squad are on their way in"

"Already? I will be right there"

Maggie casually wipes the last bit of blood off her hands before stripping off her clothing down to her bikini and walking back to the pack house in a casual manner.
