Twisting Her Fate -
Chapter 96
Leilani can't even open her eyes as she feels large arms scoop her out of the vehicle. She wants to see who it is, but her eyelids feel like they have fifty kilogram weights attached to each one, her thoughts drift to Connor as she just gets carried, uncaring about her perilous situation. She is trained well enough to keep a cool head even when everything is stacked against her. All that runs through her hand is Connor's intense steel-gray eyes that change slightly with his emotions, his soft caring caress. She has to wonder how a man like that ended up fated to Maggie, even though he wants her now. Lani can't help but feel sad that the moon goddess didn't think her worthy of someone like Connor and stuck her with Gabriel.
She listens to the steady footsteps, feels the slight chill in the air.
X keeps looking down at the girl in his arms. In the low light it is harder to tell, but she looks so familiar, he shakes his head, getting the strange thoughts out of his head as he focuses ahead.
He cannot wait to have this one, he hasn't been this excited in a long time.
"Ohh my sweet little thing, you are everything I have been looking for"
Leilani listens to the voice but it doesn't sound familiar at all, but she locks the memory up tight in case she needs it later. The smell of damp earth fills her nose. Leilani has long lost count of the steps as they just keep walking for what feels like an eternity. Finally, the sound of a slide lock and the slight creak of a door opening.
Leilani actually feels relief, she hates being in his arms, the warmth of his skin is far from comforting like it is with Connor, it makes her sick. She feels silken sheet under her and is surrounded by the smell of lavender, not at all what she was expecting, but at this point she has no idea what she was expecting.
A soft kiss brands her lips and she feels the urge to rip his face off and if she had the capability to do it, she probably would, but for now she is just stuck.
She actually feels like she gets a bit of insight into the girls now because he is able to kiss her without consequences right now. If he tried to do anything else she would be powerless to stop him.
"I can't wait for you to wake up, unfortunately, I gave you a bit too much for your body size. You see I was in a bit of a rush. Just like this room, I didn't put in the effort I usually do, but I just had to have you and I haven't had that feeling in a long time. There was no waiting for you"
A finger trails down Leilani's soft cheek and down her neck. She can't even cringe, she has to give the illusion that she is out as she can't fight him and if he knows that she is lucid he make take things to places that she never in her life wanted to go. "Unfortunately, I have to wait a little longer because I want a little sweet thing like you to be awake when I give you everything you've ever wanted"
X walks towards the door, turning back and speaking to her once more, an undisguised look of lust as he views the beauty on the bed, her angelic face framed by that long golden blonde hair. She is so vulnerable, so defenseless, he likes them like this, but he prefers it even more when they are conscious, seeing if he can inspire some fight in the sweet ones and tame the perverse ones, he just wants to direct them all against their own nature. He wants to bend and break them, he wants complete control. "I will be back real soon"
Leilani lets out a massive sigh of relief as she hears the door closing behind him, feeling that aura disappearing. She was actually really nervous for a little bit there. While she assumed what the girls were taken for and what they would be subjected to, she really thought for a moment there that the same thing was going to happen to her. She thought with the short timeline that she would be relatively safe. She is only glad that she is.
While she is happy to hand over a body as bait, what happens to her body during that process, she is fine with t*****e or even death, but she knows what would come next and she is not happy with that at all.
She was actually really frightened.
Which only just confirms what she's doing here, because if she felt that, what did the others feel?
Leilani's super sensitive hearing, picks up a scream and a sobbing sound.
"Shut up, you're always like this, but we all know exactly what type of person you are"
"I am not. I have never been"
Leilani's eyes pop open as she stares at the ceiling. Still unable to move. Not even able to clench the sheets under her as she hears more screaming and violent sobbing.
Leilani has never felt so nauseous in her entire life because she knows exactly what is happening. What she was scared would happen to her is happening to someone else in her wake and that does not make it any better. She fights for justice and her main goal is to protect. So the fact that she just has to listen to this without doing anything.
Tears pour down her face, trying with everything she's got to fight what she was injected with, but she can't. She's got no strength.
The breath catches in her lungs as she half sobs trying to block out the sound, not knowing if it's worse to have it happen to her or worse to have to listen to someone else when all she wants to do is be able to save them.
Leilani never wants to let anyone suffer.
The elite squad is in their vehicle following a great number of kilometers behind. At this time, the last thing they want is for someone to replace out that there is a tail on Leilani while she is in such a position.
When the red dot disappears from view the car load tenses, while it was in their minds that it could happen, they were hoping that it wouldn't be the case. Terrance senses a shift in the atmosphere but he does not comment. Just watching closely. They all seem to know what they're doing and for now he will just observe. It is interesting to see how they work together.
The group working toward good and justice, making Terrance feel like his potions are even worse. He never thought of himself as the villain before all this, but now he is starting to feel that way.
Hudson looks at the last known location, they don't miss a beat at all, the car speeds up and Hudson has maps bought up on his screen.
"Okay, we have un claimed land"
Levi patiently explains to Terrance since he looks a little lost.
"Unclaimed land is good, as without an official border, no one can feel when we cross the border. We want the element of surprise as we don't want any chance that Lani can be hurt in the process. We have no idea what state she is in, since she still hasn't linked us we can assume that she is compromised in some way"
Hudson brings up some more detailed maps.
"No landmarks, just a large hill, it looks like there may have long abandoned mines"
Madden has already increased his speed, but he moves even faster. Levi continues his explanation to Terrance.
"It is likely that without it being a claimed pack and without there being any infrastructure around, it is likely that once he leaves we will miss him. We only get one shot at this. We want him caught, we don't want to investigate and catch him later, we want him done right now, we don't want to give him a chance to hurt anyone else"
Terrance whispers.
"Lani will be fine, won't she?"
But even with his low voice, in a crowded car full of werewolves, every word hits hard.
"Of course she will be"
Madden answers a little too loudly and a little too quickly for anyone to actually believe that he is fully convinced by his own words. Madden's foot hits the floor, the vehicle jolts forward, the powerful engine roaring as he hits its top speed. They get close to the location but far enough away that there is no way that anyone can hear the engine and no one can see it coming on the only road into the secluded location, finally parking the vehicle in a tree covered area.
Levi looks at Terrance with a conflicted expression.
"What do you want to do?"
"Don't you dare leave me here"
Levi breathes a sigh of relief. He doesn't want Terrance caught up in the action, but he also doesn't want to leave him unprotected in the vehicle, so that would mean ditching his duty in order to protect Terrance, which neither of them would enjoy. If something was to happen and Levi wasn't there, he would never forgive himself for not being there, for not giving it one hundred percent.
Levi motions with his hand and Terrance piles out of the car with the rest of them.
