“Alright, I don’t,” Leah dropped her purse and sat down next to him. “Actually, I saw this coming evenbefore you talked to her. Emmett is such a catch; no sane woman would ever let him slip away. Clarahas Emmett’s baby; how could she just easily go with you? She was in contact with you beforebecause she didn’t know the child was Emmett’s. And she thought you could help her, you were ofvalue to her.”

Upon hearing this, Elio refused to accept it and immediately glared at Leah.

Leah shrugged and said, “I know I shouldn’t have said that. It pisses you off. But isn’t that the truth?You have to accept it.”

“Just mind your own business and do whatever you need to do,” Elio said, standing up to leave..

Raising an eyebrow, Leah asked, “Where are you going? To see Clara again?”

“Why are you so damn stubborn! I’ve made it very clear, why do you still think Clara would agree toleave with you? Let me tell you, the only way for you to be with Clara is to follow my plan!”

“You will only hurt her; you won’t consider her feelings,”

Elio understood that when it came to these tactics, he was no match for Leah. Even he and Claracombined were no match for Leah! So, he wanted to get Clara away from both Emmett and Leah’sschemes as soon as possible. No one could predict what the future would be like.

“Listen to you!” Leah frowned, pulling Elio back onto the couch. “We’re family. After you marry Clara inthe future, she will be my sister-in-law. Even if I marry Emmett, she is Emmett’s ex-wife, and that won’t

change our relationship as siblings. As long as you want to marry Clara, I won’t hurt her.”

“What you’re doing now is hurting her!”

Elio sneered, “Aren’t you afraid that Emmett will go after other women one day?”

“I’m not Clara. I can accept it, I can be ruthless, but can she?”

“Any other woman that comes near Emmett, whether innocent or not, I won’t show mercy. I’d rather killten thousand by mistake than let one go,” Leah had clearly envisioned her life after marrying Emmett.

“Huh, you’re the cruelest!” Elio felt a chill just hearing this. He thought he should take Clara and herchild and run away as soon as possible, that would be the wisest choice.

Taylor had been lying in bed all day and finally couldn’t bear it anymore. He had originally planned tofollow his mother’s advice, to recover his memory through ample rest, but being in the bedroom madehim feel suffocated.

“Mom, I’m going to the office.”

After getting dressed and grooming himself, he went downstairs after washing up, only to replace hismother watching TV in the living

“Didn’t I tell you to get some rest?” Teresa immediately stood up and said, “Don’t worry about thecompany! I’ve already asked your secretary to handle it!”
