“I know you don’t want me to show up at the Melendez household; let alone in front of Emmett! So, youplot and scheme. You better figure out a way for me to leave the Melendez family as soon as possiblethen!”

Leah watched Clara’s facial expressions closely, noting that she didn’t seem to be lying. With a coldlaugh, she retorted, “I’ll come up with a solution, but don’t you dare play any tricks?”

Then she pulled out a packet of white powder from her pocket, “Here, this is the antidote! Give it toEmmett to drink. I don’t care how you do it, but you better not let him replace out! Because this antidoteisn’t a one-time cure, if Emmett replaces out, there won’t be a next time!”

Clara quickly reached out to take the antidote, cradling it carefully in her hands. “When are youplanning to fully cure Emmett?”

“That depends on my mood. Whenever he falls in love with me, that’s when he’ll get the final antidote.”Leah smirked, “So don’t get your hopes up. The title of Mrs. Melendez is mine alone. You’ve lost yourchance forever!”

Clara pursed her lips, unable to stand the sight of Leah’s face any longer.

It was a face she had once trusted, even considered as a friend’s. But it was also that face that hadbrought her to such a state, even involving Emmett!

“What about… my two children? What’s your plan for them to leave the Melendez family and comeback to me?”

“Are you rushing me now? Don’t forget your place. Look at your maid’s outfit, it suits you! The kids arean obstacle to me, I’ll definitely remove them. But I can’t guarantee when!”

Clara frowned. Just as she had suspected, Leah wasn’t going to keep her promises. Her words held nocredibility.

“After all, I still need them. In Sophia’s eyes, they are my biological children! Look at how well shetreats me. Even before Emmett and I are married, she’s willing to let me rest here. As for you, you haveto return to your rightful place. Don’t dream too high, or the fall will hurt!”

Just as Clara opened her mouth to retort, Leah suddenly collapsed in front of her!

“Clara, what are you doing here? What were you planning to do with my future daughter-in-law?”

Clara froze, realizing what had happened, “I didn’t push her…”

Sophia quickly moved to Leah’s side, helping her up and berating Clara, “There’s only the two of youhere. If you didn’t push her, did she fall on her own? Clara, what are your intentions? You’ve betrayedmy son, and you still have the nerve to show up at the Melendez’s?!”

Leah, however, played innocent and even pretended to be magnanimous, “Sophia, don’t blame heranymore! Maybe I just lost my footing, I believe she didn’t mean

it!”

“Don’t defend her! She’s not worth it! This woman is two-faced. I’ve seen her true colors for a longtime!” Sophia spat out harshly, holding Leah’s hand tightly, “On one hand, she’s deceiving my son. Onthe other, she’s flirting with other men. I’ve seen a lot of bitches in my life, but one as cunning andcalculating as her is a first!”
