After hearing that, Xavier paused and turned around. He saw Hera standing behind him, and she seemed to know the truth.

Then, he smiled dumbly and clapped, walking happily around her. "We're playing hide-and-seek! That's so fun! I've caught you, so you'll have to catch me now!"

When Hera looked around, she couldn't see any surveillance cameras. She didn't know if Xavier was truly mentally disabled or putting on an act.

Just then, Marriott breathlessly ran toward them. "Mr. Xavier! Oh, I've finally found you. Ms. Gemma wants to eat dinner with you." When she saw Hera, she said happily, "Hello, Ms. Hera!"

"I don't want to eat my meals. I want to play hide-and-seek. It's fun! Play hide-and-seek with me." Xavier held Hera's hand and whined.

Marriott answered, "Ms. Hera is eating her dinner soon. I'll play hide-and-seek with you after dinner, okay? Ms. Gemma made your favorite roasted chicken for dinner."

"I don't want that! I want to play hide-and-seek instead!" Then, Xavier lay down and started throwing a tantrum.

"Mr. Xavier, the ground is dirty. Please get up!" Marriott hurriedly rushed over and tried to pull him up.

However, Xavier didn't want to move. Though he was a grown adult, he behaved like a small child—not only did he throw tantrums, but he also wanted to play hide-and-seek. As such, Marriott panicked.

Meanwhile, Hera stood in a corner and watched as Xavier threw a tantrum, behaving like a lunatic.

"Is he always like this?" she asked Marriott.

"Ever since Mr. Xavier had a serious fever back then, he became like a three-year-old child. Whenever he dislikes something, he'll throw tantrums," Marriott replied. After that, she seemed to remember something and looked at Hera hopefully.

"Ms. Hera, since you're a miracle doctor, can you cure his sickness? Ms. Gemma tried to get many famous neurologists to treat Mr. Xavier, but nothing helped."

Hera shook her head and said, "Neurology isn't my strongest suit."

Besides, she still doubted that Xavier was truly a fool. If he was putting on an act, no doctor would be able to treat him no matter how impressive they

were.

"Oh." Marriott sighed and continued, "Mr. Xavier has had a tough life. After Mr. Greg passed away, Madam Devito fell sick and died later on, causing Mr. Xavier to become an orphan.

"Since he became a fool after contracting a fever, he behaves crazily every day and can't take care of himself. This makes me feel bad for him."

"Thankfully, Ms. Gemma was very

kind and felt bad for Mr. Xavier. After

Madam Devito passed away, she

allowed Mr. Xavier to live in her mansion. She raises him like her own son. Ms. Xandia sometimes gets jealous of the way Ms. Gemma treats him."

Marriott was referring to Albert's children from his first wife. They were a pair of twins called Greg and Gemma.

This was why Aurora said

previously, "Aunt Gemma must be feeling terrible because her brother passed away. But Aunt Daphne keeps harassing her because she wants to seek justice for Uncle Lucius. She's rubbing salt on Aunt Gemma's wounds!"

Hera looked at Xavier, and her expression turned serious. She crouched down and tried to comfort him.

"Fool, how long are you going to keep us waiting for? The dishes have turned cold!" A delicate and arrogant voice was heard behind them.

The person speaking was a woman in her 20s. Her narrow eyes were a unique feature on her face.

Marriott said, "Hello, Ms. Xandia."

Xandia Killian was the person Marriott was addressing.

Back then, Gemma's husband married into the Killian family, so Xandia took her surname. Her name was recorded in the Killian Genealogy Book.

The moment Xavier heard Xandia's voice, he stopped throwing a tantrum and stood up abruptly. He hid behind Hera and grabbed her clothes fearfully.

When Xandia saw Hera, she frowned. "Don't block my way. This fool needs to come back with me and eat his dinner!"

Hera stood up and turned to look at Xavier. "I don't think he wants to go back with you."

"I don't care what he wants. My

mother won't start eating without him. So, even if he doesn't want to eat his dinner, he has to come back and sit at the dining table with everyone."
