The sun shone brightly into the room with mixture of red and pink. That is what I wished to wake me up instead of being ripped out of bed and clothing shoved into my arms.

“Come on,” Emily demanding. I shrugged from odd weight and sat back down. I was slowly waking up from my slumber. There, stood Emily with her arms crossed looking annoyed.

“Why are you interrupting a perfectly good sleep?” I questioned, snuggling into my bed again.

She scoffed at me.

“You need to practice your powers, and only way to do that is by experimenting with them” she grabbed my sheets and ripped them off causing a shriek of cold to wrap around my now shivering body.

“Nope,” I refused.

“Okay” she dramatically sighed, “then I guess I will just stay here wonder about life and ask you questions.”

I heard her flop on the bed.

I rose, “Fine I am up, anything better than your questions.”

She smiled and we prepared ourselves.

We arrived at the temple gardens and saw only a few students since the weather was nice and snow had packed down a bit. Though it was barely noticeable.

Our warm clothing helped the cold along with boots to trek through the snow. We headed for an area as we did not want others students to see what I could do.

We found a spot at the back end of the temple while being surrounded by couple of trees. That held snow as if it was weightless. Found a rea where there were rocks formed a circle. And the grass on the inside was looked as if it barely been touched by snow.

I stepped forward and into the circle and Emily took a step back to give room. I took a deep breath and thought of air as I lifted my hands and imagined a mini tornado spinning around in my hands. I could hear the wind become much more, as is rustled amongst the trees above me. I instantly stop thinking and it all vanished immediately.

I dropped my hands placed them on both sides of me on the ground and thought of earth how vines growing up from the ground and twirling around reaching for my hands. The command obeyed and green vines with leaves and flowers bloomed twirled upwards to my hands. It was beautiful, they were dancing. I then commanded them to stop and they quickly retreated back into the ground. I looked at Emily and she smiled, I prepared myself and looked back down.

I took a deep breath and thought of fire, raising my right hand, thinking of a blazing ball of fire. There it was right in my hand a ball of flame, licking itself and dancing beautifully. I closed my hand and the flame disappeared.

“Now” I started, “Time for my favourite element.”

I continued.

I looked at both of my hands and there was a dragon made of water splashing around. I smiled and squeezed my hands shut making disappear.

I looked up at Emily and she seemed dazed for a moment but then smiled.

“There, are you satisfied?” I asked her hoping a yes would come.

“Mhmm, I am very much so” she came forward and stopped, “And here is you necklace”

I looked down at it hanging from her hands, the unique pendant that control so much. A balance.

I took it, grasping the cold chain in my hand.

“Come, I am starting to get cold” Emily said and she dragged me off to the dining hall where we received some hot drinks and sat in the dark corner enough so no would hear us.

Laughter filled our conversation with the steaming cups of tea beneath our fingers. There weren’t many students here just a few. It was all nice as the sun shone through the windows giving an almost golden touch even though it was early afternoon.

It was nice and warm; it filled the room till Emily cut one of our conversation short.

“Asema how the hell are you able to control so much power, and where is your necklace? I mean makes no difference since everyone still believes you have no powers and you were in the circle.”

I turned my gaze to hers, “I honestly don’t know because it just feels like nothing to me, and the pendant is in pocket” I shuffled in my jeans and showed her.” I confessed.

Emily lips went into a thin line, “that’s weird, because a change in power would feel different.”

I shrugged not see the importance of this.

Hello ladies” a familiar accent came. Emily and I turned our attention to Damon and Wolf who were approaching us.

“Wolf, why even bother with a mother tongue? No one understands” Emily whined as she was bit annoyed.

Wolf only chuckled and smoothly slid into the seat next to mine wrapping his arm around my shoulders and gave me a kiss on my cheek. I blushed but was confused to how I could understand him yet no one else could.

I gazed to Damon and Emily who wanted to be close to another. Damon sat down beside Emily but kept a distance. I felt for her. So as to see she couldn’t be close to him, yet I was snuggled into Wolf.

“It felt like fun to do it” Wolf countered to Emily who only stuck out her tongue out and rolled her eyes. Her hand I noticed slid under the table as Damon’s, possibly holding hands but I didn’t intrude.

“So,” quickly changing the subject, “what brings you boys here?” I landed my gaze to Wolf.

“Well, I came to see if you wanted to keep training but you weren’t at your dorm, so I wondered around and bumped into Damon to replace out that he was looking for Emily.” He started and Damon started.

“So, we thought cold weather, possibly aside being stuck in a room, dining hall with hot drinks was the place to be.”

They both beamed and I found myself laughing.

“Nice story,” Emily cut into the moment, “Next question am I the only one who had witness or seen changes that are not explainable?”

Well, that took a turn.

“Uh?” I replied a bit on the confusion side.

“You now say that, that would explain somethings” Damon replied, looking into as he was about thinking the last past events.

“well aside from Kieran finally leaving Asema alone that been news for a while” Wolf commented, sounded like he was appreciative.

Which Instantly reminded me that I did not tell him or I thought I told him about the last interaction.

“No” Emily shook her head dismissing everyone’s theory.

“I read the prophecy book the other day and there have been ones that are fulfilled. Which another one was written. Besides you can feel on campus that something is different” her voice rose with anger. Not because of anger but I believe because she felt she was worried as she been the only once witnessing it all.

“Sorry…” Damon murmured, “I was talking about the recent gossip among our fellow classmates.”

She gave him a soft smile; I hope it was an understanding smile.

“Wait,” Wolf perked up unravelling his arm from my shoulders that allowed cold to wrap around. A small shiver came. “You think the different prophecies are indicating something?”

Emily nodded in confirmation, “Well first on I can understand because you guys kissed” she pointed to us.

My cheeks flushed as did Wolf’s, I felt happy I wasn’t alone in embarrassment.

“Second one, someone fulfilled the prophecy of being on the to be known as legend warrior.”

Wolf excitedly jumped in, “Yeah actually the warriors are talking about that and are curious to see who it is.”

Now was my tuned to say something, “Wait they are and you don’t know who it is?”

Everyone was staring at me as I was the confused one.

“Most of us” Damon indicated a circle towards him, Emily and Wolf, “Don’t even know who fulfilled what as a day goes by and suddenly black text turns to red…sometimes it’s hard to figure it out unless someone verbally says they fulfilled a prophecy or indicated an action.”

I narrowed my eyes at his response.

“Sometimes you just hear it and take someone’s words for it.” Damon finished.

I rested my elbows onto the table sighing defeat, “just when I thought I was starting to understand everything.”

Emily rubbed my arm, “don’t worry it confuses others as well, you’re not alone.”

I returned her smile.

“Third one is disturbing” shivered at her own words.

I hesitated but Damon beat me to it, “What is it?”

She brought her gaze to each one of us slowly seeing if we were ready.

“The seed shall be planted, growing a great power of darkness.” Her words were like ice to my skin. As if they sounded familiar and related to me.

Damon shrugged quiet and stared into nothing again while Wolf and Emily looked as if they were thinking.

A forever silence was amongst us.

“How?” Was all Wolf could say.

“I don’t know” Emily replied.

I forced the words out my mouth, “So darkness will truly grow stronger” I confirmed.

Emily nodded her head, “Unless the other prophecy comes true, we are all screwed.

“Which is” I pushed.

“An unknown greater power will destroy evil.”

I sat there for a while. How could anyone try to interpret their prophecies when only barely any of them make sense.

“Well, the warriors are excited about the history legend on” Wolf tried to lighten the mood that only did for little bit. Damon wasn’t as rigid and Emily began breathing smoothly as she not just under stress.

“And we know two people who fulfilled a prophecy” Damon chimed in helping Wolf lightened the mood.

Though Emily did take the bait but changed it again.

“Yes, I did notice Kieran is being unusually distanced and that makes me uncomfortable.” Emily confessed.

“Planning something or just closed off to anyone” Damon replied unsure.

I don’t know why but the words popped out my mouth and my mind wen to my first vision. Thinking how Kadea said it was a warning, but I still couldn’t wrap my head around what it was.

“Well, I will say this” I popped in between a small conversation of Wolf and Damon. They stared at me with interest to my words. “Something is coming not that we need to be prepared for it, it is a feeling” I finished as they all stared at me. I began questioning my thoughts and words.

“Yeah, a warning to be wary of the future: Emily added.

I nodded in reply, though an odd sensation began to creep against my skin as if I should be warned of anything. A glimpse of warriors fighting and a darkness spreading across flesh, flashed across my vision. To soon I returned back to the group to where no one noticed something happened. Questions was should I be okay or not okay and they didn’t notice the sudden changed in me?

After another hour, Emily and Damon disperse while Wolf and I hung back and walk slowly around the ground. Now was the time I should let Wolf know.

“Wolf… I need to tell you that Kieran forced himself on me…well forced a kiss on me…”

He stopped and stood in front of me. “Forced a kiss on you?... did you report it to Madam?” His eyes were wide and full of concern and rage

“Uh no… I was scared and ran… I didn’t say anything till now because I was scared…”

Wolf took me in his arms, “I am sorry that happened to you, no wonder you didn’t want to be alone”

I hugged him back, unsure of anything right now.
