Unveiling the Genius Behind the Divorcee Chapter 207

Chapter 207 Confessing to Her

"Who is it?" Aylin instinctively responded.

Waylon blinked, his deep gaze fixed on her without faltering, "Who else could it be? He's so far, yet so close."

She was rendered speechless.

Waylon pursed his lips, holding back a question that had been on his mind for quite some time. The atmosphere was just right, and he couldn't help but want to ask it now.

"Ms. Koch, can you tell me, what kind of man do you really like? Or, in other words, what exactly attracted you to Gavyn? I'd like to learn from it."

From an objective perspective, Gavyn is handsome and wealthy, making him the object of admiration for countless women.

But those women who don't understand him, they don't realize that sometimes his mind just can't keep up with the twists and turns. He's so straightforward that it's beyond redemption. If you don't have enough patience and tolerance, being with him can be quite exhausting.

Gavyn is quite good-looking, and Waylon believes he's not too bad himself.

Speaking from the heart, he was definitely more romantic and charming than Gavyn, and could make Aylin happy. So why couldn't he attract her affection?

Aylin couldn't answer this question.

"I don't know..."

Who can truly explain matters of the heart? What is the reason for our affections?

Upon hearing this, Waylon's eyes dimmed.

A moment later, he looked up and earnestly grasped Aylin's hand. "Aylin, I know you've been through a lot of hardships in the past. Give me a chance to protect you. Be my girlfriend." Aylin paused for a few seconds.

The two of them gazed into each other's eyes, and Waylon couldn't bear to look away for even a second. He felt that the atmosphere was just perfect, and it was time to seize the moment and press Aylin withdrew her gaze, realizing she was no longer a seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl who would be moved to tears by such a scene.

It will only give you goosebumps all over.

"Stop messing around."

She swiftly withdrew her hand and said calmly, "I'm like your former sister-in-law. A friend's wife should not be taken advantage of. Do you really have the nerve to steal someone's love, without fearing a beating?"

"Why can't I steal it!"

Waylon became agitated, completely disagreeing with Aylin's statement. "Besides, I'm not trying to steal you away from anyone. I only pursued you after your divorce. This is a new era; no one has to remain loyal to anyone. Everyone has the right to their own romantic freedom!"

Aylin couldn't help but laugh at his anxious and pale appearance, playfully pushing him away and saying, "Come on, get yourself together!"

Upon seeing the beautiful woman's smile, Waylon was dazzled as if a radiant pearl had blossomed. before him, leaving him utterly captivated.

He leaned in once more, attempting to hold Aylin's hand, "Aylin, are you really not going to reconsider what I said? I'm quite handsome, and I have a great physique too..."

Upon hearing such an intimate address, Aylin couldn't help but feel goosebumps all over her body. She found Waylon's persistence both annoying and amusing, so she reached out and gave him a playful smack on the head.

"Don't even think about it, behave yourself! Is there any issue with the contract? If not, hurry up and go home, I can't stand you."

Aylin issued an order to leave, pushing Waylon towards the exit.

Waylon was persistent, reluctantly poking his head out from behind the door once more. He called out to Aylin loudly, "I will never give up!"

Aylin couldn't help but laugh, speechless. "Let's go!"

At this moment, the Delacruz's home.

The door creaked open haphazardly, and Alfred went forward to take the coat Gavyn had removed. Just as he was about to say something, he noticed that Gavyn's face didn't look quite right.

It wasn't anger, but more of a sudden realization and disbelief while being immersed in a certain event. As the brows furrowed slightly, there was also a hint of self-blame.

What happened here?

Alfred knew that Gavyn was in a bad mood at the moment, so he didn't dare to ask more questions. Instead, he just poured him a cup of hot coffee and then quietly withdrew. Gavyn wasn't in the mood for coffee. He picked up his phone and dialed the number.

"Lloyd, come to my house, immediately."

Upon receiving the notification, Lloyd wasted no time and drove straight to the Delacruz's home. In

less than ten minutes, he appeared before Gavyn, slightly disheveled from the hurried journey.

He could also see that Gavyn's expression was not good, not angry, nor simply sad, but as if he had been shaken by something.

So, speaking more cautiously and respectfully, "Mr. Delacruz, you were looking for me?"

Gavyn's eyes narrowed as he gazed out the window, seemingly lost in thought. It was as if his mind

had wandered far away, carried along by the distant look in his eyes.

"Three years ago, there was a cruise ship explosion, and Ms. Aylin lost her life on that ship. I want you to investigate all the details and report back to me without missing a single word." Lloyd could sense that something was off with Gavyn's current state. After hesitating for a moment, he asked, "Mr. Delacruz... What made you suddenly think of asking this?"

"I visited the Koch Group and learned a few things."

Gavyn regained his composure and glanced at him nonchalantly.

Lloyd's heart sk ip ped a beat, and his intuition told him that he should listen carefully to what was

about to be said.

"I asked Aylin's confidant, and he told me a few things."

Gavyn lit a cigarette, his face showing an expression Lloyd had never seen before, even carrying a hint of annoyance in his brow. "He said that the reason Aylin has changed so much from the past is because she once lost her memory.

She didn't intend to deliberately conceal her identity when marrying into the Delacruz family, nor did she have any ulterior motives. It wasn't for money, nor was it to steal business secrets; there was only one simple reason..."

Before Gavyn could finish speaking, Lloyd already knew the reason, even without Gavyn saying it.

It is love.

Back then, Aylin was simply wholeheartedly in love with Gavyn.

Lloyd still couldn't believe it.

Could there really be such a coincidence in the world?

But if this is the real reason, then many things do make sense. After all, who suddenly becomes a completely different person before and after a divorce?

The only reasonable explanation is that either it's not the same person, or there's been a distortion in memory!

The explosion on the cruise ship three years ago could very well be the reason for Aylin's memory loss!

Lloyd quickly agreed, knowing that if they could figure this out, it would be a good thing for both Gavyn and Aylin.

"Mr. Delacruz, I'll take care of it right away!"

Lloyd works at an impressive speed.

After having lunch, Gavyn leaned back on the sofa, closing his eyes to rest. Lloyd, on the other hand, didn't even have time to eat, as he hurried over. "Mr. Delacruz, I found it!" Lloyd panted.
